I’m back from my hiatus.

I want to apologized for my horrible attitude last week. I have the tendency to get frustrated and annoyed easily, especially when it comes to my art. My main goal for the summer is to focus less on popularity and being the next X artist. Instead, I’m going to focus more working on projects that I WILL enjoy doing, networking, and strengthening my skills.

Also, I’m going to go back to my last posts concerning art trades and getting started on them.

It’s frustrating . I feel that I’m going in the wrong direction in terms of my art. I remember I used to be so happy. I have an obsession of trying to be popular like all the other artists. When popular artists draw either OCs or fan art, they will get noticed and get a lot of comments, reblogs, and favorites.

However, when I do the same, I get little to no praise. Even the works that I busted my ass for hours, I don’t get anything in return. I try to comment more and post in forums and other sites, but nothing works. I feel like I wasted my FUCKING time making all these works. That’s what it truly hurts me…..

If you think that I’m a horrible artist, just say so and put me out of my misery.

I just want to share my work to other people and get recognition/popularity. I want to show them the stuff that I like to do. That’s all.

I think it’s time for me to get out of my comfort zone. I feel like my stuff is too simple nowadays and there’s always a lack of detail in my final works. Like my sketches and completed pencil works always have detail. However, when it comes down to lineart and coloring, there’s always little to no detail.

This is why I don't get much recognition. My style is just not appealing to anyone.

I really want to get into digital painting, gradient shading, and soft shading. Can anyone link me some tutorials please?

I honestly believe that I have potential as an artist. I just need to believe in myself, work hard, and put myself out there more! Hopefully, things will come my way one day! :D
