Posted 15 years agoOver the past few months I've had quite a few people ask me about being able to role-play with me, and I've honestly been quite busy and exhausted from school. Now I've been away from school but we've been moving, so again, I've been too busy or uninspired.
I have this board, that's been sitting around getting dusty and unloved. I play one game on it and that's it. I was wondering if those people (or really, ANYONE) would like to join it and RP with me and others while I'm in school/overseas?

Little Update
Posted 16 years agoHey ya'll! If anyone's been wondering where I've been... Well, just busy in life :'D
Playing with my new kitten, who turned out to be a boy hahaha! He's adorable and rambunctious. I named him Miyavi pfft. Such a cutie.
Unfortunately I'm moving away from home for a while, so I won't get to see him anymore ;3; and he'll probably be more mom's cat when I get back again. *SIGH* I hate it when that happens.
I'm moving to Japan though. I got accepted to TUJ in Tokyo and I leave January 3rd. It's really exciting! However this means I have to study my ass off for placement exams and just the overall preparation of being in a new country. I'm excited and tired at the same time ahah, school is wearing me out. I'm taking math, business and chinese at the moment and they're all slowly eating away at my energy.

Posted 16 years agoOh man, my mom came home from work for a while and surprised me with a little baby kitten! She's so adorable but she's Soooooo scared. I was holding her and she kept hissing at me XD; Hopefully with some time she'll adjust.
One of her co-workers found her curled up inside a shoe they'd left outside trying to keep warm so they took her in but couldn't keep her. So in the end mom ended up bringing her to me, even though I was sure she'd say no XD
Unfortnuately I haven't had time to take pictures. She's been hiding under our entertainment center now... xD Oneday she'll come out and i'll get some pictures of the cutie. She's orange and has these cute little blue eyes. SO adorable.

Commission Me Please?
Posted 16 years agoI'm not going to lie, this is for selfish reason. I have no emergency bills to pay off or anything at this moment. However, I'm aiming to get about $100 for a trip to Seattle, WA Oct 25th. Unless I can get this money, I won't be going, and that makes me very sad D:
So if anyone can or wants to, please commission me :'D I'll try to make sure to work on them as they come along.
And if you're curious, the trip to Seattle is to see Miyavi in concert D: He's probably my number one obsession, and I can't just let the chance of him being so close right now go by so easily! XD Maybe if I'm lucky however, I'll get to see him in Japan. Maybe. IF this falls through.

Gaia Online Yaoi Art Contest ;D

If you're and artist of any skill level and a member of Gaia Online and you happen to like yaoi, then this is definitely for you! XD I've been holding an OC contest on GO since September and it hadn't exactly kicked up a lot of dust. Of course, I haven't been able to be on to support the thread every day either, which doesn't help! D:
There's approximately 3,500,000 in prizes, and some of the items' values are still going up. The majority of the prizes are PURE (meaning they're gold, not items).
What do you have to do for the contest? It's pretty simple. Just draw any of the characters I have listed on the page (Link coming up in a moment!), it doesn't have to be anything fancy, even a sketch will do, just make sure it looks like you put some time into it. No stick figures, silly people!
The contest is going until July 1st, with a possible extension if people ask for it toward the end.
So please go here! Even if you don't think you'll participate, let anyone who might be interested know! ;D I could use the PR lawl!

Updates and Help A Friend?

On the other hand, expect more art from me soon. Spring break is about to start and I'm beyond depressed right now, so I'm probably going to be keeping myself busy with art after art after art. There will be something soon for my great grandmother, as she is expected to pass tonight or tomorrow--hence my depression. I don't handle death well, and out of my family, I am probably the closest to her and watching her slowly fall apart like this has been hard. Very hard. I've been up off and on since three AM, sitting at the hospital when she had a heart attack, but it didn't kill her--not yet. Her breathing changed and she's in a log of pain. They've made her comfortable, put her on pain killers and now we're just waiting. I hate waiting. My mother went back to the hospital a while ago, but i couldn't bring myself to return.
Anyway. I might not talk too much, I might talk a lot, I can't really say yet. Im' exhausted and just all around not happy. But I'm finding that talking with my friends is far better than holing up in my room with a book and no food like I did 5 years ago.
But. Art, yes. Art. I have a few things I'm thinking about posting, and I may very well post a compilation of my art projects from school and if anyone wants, maybe some of them on their own. However, they will be photos since I don't own a gargantuan scanner or anything. So I may wait until I can see my grandmother (she's good with a camera) and ask her to photograph my works for me. I need to for college anyway, so I can attempt to transfer schools.
We're moving in a couple of months and it's into my great grandmother's home. It's going to be strange, I don't know how I'll feel about it, being in there with her gone, you know?
Bleh. I'll stop rambling now, I'm feeling a bit better mood wise, and I've started drawing my comic again. Might finish that up today. Just need to ink it and scan it essentially.

Snowed IN! Merry Christmas

Anyway, yeah. Woke up this morning, there was this MOUNTAIN of snow! I mean. We have feeet xD It's great. But not so great because now my family is stranded indoors. Hopefully things clear up this weekend, we have a friend coming to see us on his military leave thing 8D it's gonna be super awesome.
We walked to the store across the highway, such a pain in the ass, but we got there. My mom didn't think she'd make it back xD Just as she said that though, it was like he magically just.. appeared behind us in his truck! Our neighbor somehow managed to recognize us and offered us a ride home after we grabbed our food for the next couple of days we'll be stranded out here. NOW he's even plowing the little driveway 8D it's pretty nifty. He's a damn cool man xD
Just a few days ago, we had pipes all frozen. Cost 700 dollars to fix because under our trailer, 20 feet of the piping shattered like glass D: it sucked. We're so broke now >_<;
Maybe I'll post some snowstorm pictures in a little bit xD We'll see. that requires going outside again.
Anyway, Merry Christmas ya'll 83 Hope yours is warm and snowless lawl! Unless you want snow. then you should come over here and take some from us!

Japan?
Posted 17 years agoHey everyone! ;D Just one more month to this quarter of school, then I'll just have to make it trough two more xD! ahah I've taken A few drawing classes and history so far, still in Japanese too.
Next quarter I'll be taking Math, 3-D design, Japanese and Composition Drawing I think? I don't remember. Either Comp or Tech.
Then, if all goes well, I'll be transferring to Temple University in Tokyo Japan next fall, in which I'll be staying there for three years with an unlikeliness of being able to afford to travel back home until I graduate. I'll be going into enough debt as it is xD!
Unfortunately this means that if I am accepted and get my loans and aid, 2009 will be my last year of going to conventions for a while D: Unless I go to any in Japan.
I'm quite excited despite it all xD I'll be attending A-kon 2009 still and more than likely attending Fandemonium 2009 with Syan as well <3 That will be the final thing I do before departing to Japan if all goes as planned, seeing as the Fall semester begins in late August and I will have to get their earlier for orientation.
Anyways. I just.. had to talk about that 8D Because the excitement is horribly tormenting lawlz. I need to stop by my old High School and get my transcript and write a letter about myself and why I'm interested in studying in Japan.
I'm pretty dead in the art world right now. I'm waiting for a good break now to sit down and finish up art I owe people for commissions and other-stuff. The stuff for this history class is killing me -__- This is the last month though! Then I'll have time to draw again.. just for a week u__u but then I go on a mini vacation for Christmas/New Years xD;
Guess I'll run now. Maybe I'll get something done today xD; I can only hope.

I start college tomorrow (getting my AFA yey) so I'll be in classes through the days and online (hopefully) through the night lawl! I just got back from Fandemonium in Nampa, ID xD; I sold a lot of little commissions D: No prints, so expect to see a journal soon following this to sell said prints! I have art to submit here o__o cuz.. it's been down a while, and I sure haven't been not drawing. However, I HAVE been procrastinating. Now that FA is back however, I can happily run off and stop being so lazy before school starts.
Yessss.... School. I don't know if I should be happy or not. I enrolled myself into college D: I'm planning on getting a night job part time too--cuz my hair is bright pink and teal atm xD; Not very work friendly for day jobs! Hopefully I can find some part time restocking job tho xD ahah!
Then I can save up for a ps3 8D *eager* and pay off the college loan I'll have xD; ugh, 3k~ yay... *dies*

I'd say this week, but with my placement test, a b-day dinner and babysitting all lined up for me, I'm not entirely sure I'll have the time to complete them xD; I WILL GET IT DONE BEFORE SCHOOL D: UGH. Because i don't know how energetic I'll be when I get loaded down with school crap @__@ blah!

I just got back from Fandemonium in Nampa, ID xD; I sold a lot of little commissions D: No prints, so expect to see a journal soon following this to sell said prints! I have art to submit here o__o cuz.. it's been down a while, and I sure haven't been not drawing. However, I HAVE been procrastinating. Now that FA is back however, I can happily run off and stop being so lazy before school starts.
Yessss.... School. I don't know if I should be happy or not. I enrolled myself into college D: I'm planning on getting a night job part time too--cuz my hair is bright pink and teal atm xD; Not very work friendly for day jobs! Hopefully I can find some part time restocking job tho xD ahah!
Then I can save up for a ps3 8D *eager* and pay off the college loan I'll have xD; ugh, 3k~ yay... *dies*
I've been smacking art back up on my walls all day. I have one corner done... right around my art desk xD I'm feeling more at home than ever~
I'm thinking about doing some more anthro oriented art soon... I don't know what, but I feel like it D: It's something I don't do often because I don't consider myself very good at it at all. However. I did run across some old drawings of dragons last night xD I might redraw those sometime and post them. We'll see.
I'm kinda rambling about here cuz I'm super bored and tired, but my bed is buried under STUFF xD so much stuff. I have too many things and too small of a room @__@;

Posted 17 years agoLulz I'm 19 today! Granted I spent most of my b-day in a waiting room waiting for my great grandmother to get out of laser eye surgery, and just yesterday mornin my uncle died v____v; it's been a pretty decent day.
I got 200 dollars so far towards Yaoi-Con (300 more to go! woo!). Unfortunately, I came home to my kitty, who is very sick it seems. We'll be taking her to the vet this weekend, but hopefully it's something simple meds can help with... If not, we'll have to put her down because we can't afford to help her ;___; I luff her so much, but I don't want her to suffer. *sigh*
Anyway, yeah. Gonna see Wall-E for my b-day xD It looks so cute <3

Posted 17 years agoSo... I'm sorry I'm not around too much lately, especially to anyone I owe art to/who have commissioned me. I'm working on them, but... There's a lot going on here, so please forgive my tardiness.
One sister essentially called me fat and ugly last night. She told me that I would never have a chance with a good looking man unless he was drunk (this was started because I was talking about how my friend's cousin is hot and had shown some interest in me). Then... This morning, I discovered that my other sister (the drug kid who ran away and is now living full time on the streets) stole 600 dollars worth of DVDs from me to sell for Meth. By now she's probably sold them all as she left on Monday of this week, apparently taking a bag that she claimed to have 'clothing' in it.
I'm not even so mad about the DVDs... they're replaceable with time and saving up, but I'm torn up over the fact that my sister would betray my trust like that. It hurts so badly... I don't even know how to react anymore--I'm angry and hurt... I can cry and curl up in solitude like I usually do I suppose, but that never helps me.
I have a feeling there might be a family talk tonight. Over what the 17 year old said to me and what the 15 year old did--though the younger is not with us, and never will be again. Mother banished her, she won't be allowed anywhere near us ever again. I'm devastated that she did this... I just... I don't know.
When things straighten out a bit more... I might be taking more commissions to save up for the stolen items.

But yeah... I wish people would stop stabbing me in the back like this. I'm tired of being treated like shit. So tired.

So, my sister who said mean things to me apologized and admitted she was just jealous and had said it without even thinking about what she was saying.
And, the one who stole from me got a hard slap in the face with a bit of a thing called insta-karma. Last night, her boyfriend fell to his death from the Maple Street bridge, dying when he fell 100 feet and went "smoosh" on the pavement. She was there to see it all. I feel bad, because it's horrible to lose a loved one, but both my mother and I are having trouble feeling sympathy for her because she betrayed us so many times... and this time she'd just gone way too far.
The thing I feel worst about though, is even though he was homeless, he still had a family. But, he was being a dumb ass and was drunk as fuck. He got out on a beam under the bridge and when he tried to get back up to his friends, he lost his balance and fell. My other sister is distraught over it too--he was a good friend of hers as well. Seems it's been a bad week for everyone.
