Gonna start with the con. Going to be there Friday morning, leaving Sunday night. I'd like to be there thursday/monday, but eh, can't this year. Hope to see you there! (or not cause I'm really shy, ha ha, working on that.)



Now, the main thing I wanted to address.

DLC.

I knew it was going to happen eventually, but i hoped it wouldn't. But it seems it has.

Big name developers? DO NOT USE DLC TO FINISH YOUR GAME.
I do not buy games from you with the expectation they're unfinished. IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE GAME, PUSH IT BACK SO YOU CAN. (How many times was Brawl and Twilight Princess pushed back?)
I recently started playing FFXIII-2, and it's a decent game, I want to enjoy it, BUT THE STORY ISN'T FUCKING FINISHED.

I DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR AN UNFINISHED GAME.

Yes, I realize, small devs (think minecraft) do this stuff all the time.
But you know what? There's two key factors that make them different from you Square.

1. They charge A LOT LESS. THEY DO NOT MAKE ME PAY $60 FOR AN UNFINISHED GAME.
2. They make their DLC FREE. FREE.

So you know what? It's great that you've noticed this little tactic that indie devs used. Try to get a bit more funding before the game is finished. It's great you want to use it, BUT DON'T FORGET THE FUCKING KEY PART.

I DO NOT WANT TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR A GOD DAMN FUCKING UNFINISHED GAME.

The ONLY time it's ok to charge for DLC is for EXTRA content (like that gay looking outfit for Noel you can buy). Not content that should have been there in the god damn first place. I already bought the game, unless you're going to charge less for the game itself, I don't want to have to pay more to buy the pieces THAT SHOULD ALREADY FUCKING BE THERE.

I'd be 10 times more pissed off if this game wasn't a gift -.-

For the next week or so, I won't be responding to text messages, nor will I be able to use my phone to sign onto messengers.
So if you're wondering why I'm suddenly so scarce for the next week, that's why.
I talked on the phone with a verizon rep (who was super helpful, glad i called, the store reps here suck ass), I'm getting a replacement shell shipped, and I just have to put all my current phone guts into that.
I say shell, because the only thing wrong with my phone is that it won't charge because the port came loose, which is apparently a known defect in this phone. (so yeah, don't buy an incredible 2)

Also, I'm going to have to ship the defected shell back, which means I'll have to go ship stuff.
Which means I'll have to get over my fear of going to the post office.
Which also means I'll finally ship  tehstupidbug's candy.

Hi, how are you doing?

So, Nintendo, I've noticed a disturbing trend from you as of late. You appear to be afraid of the internet.
Now I know that's nothing new, but as more and more companies start to push online, you've done nothing like a scared child.

Remember when I grew up with you Nintendo? I'd call over my friends and we'd all have a grand 'ol time playing some local games. Back then there was no choice, sure, but all my friends lived so close, most within walking distance, it wasn't a big deal.

However, Nintendo, you can't stop the clock. We all moved forward with our lives, some moved before school was even finished. By the time college swung around, almost no one was local anymore. Now, the closest person I knew growing up is over a hour drive away.

However, other companies such as Microsoft and Sony have helped us still get together from time to time and play games together, despite these large distances. They, unlike you, embraced the new ability to play games from across the globe.

I know what you're thinking Nintendo... "But they don't have handhelds that let you play across the globe!"
Well Nintendo, that's only partially true, as through my PS3 I have often played games with those people on my PSP.
If you released something similar on the Wii, I'd gladly go drop the money for one.

The thing is Nintendo, times are changing. More and more people keep in touch through the web, and just don't have the time or resources to get together physically, and you continually pushing such an outdated way of gaming is, well, outdated.

I know you're scared Nintendo, but for the love of God, stop hiding behind local play, come out and experience the internet. I promise it doesn't bite, and it's pretty much been proven to increase sales. You like money, don't you Nintendo?

Please, please take a page from your competitors books and let me play my games across the web. Maybe I'd actually dust off that paperweight that is a 3DS if you did so.

But for now, you choose not to, so I shall NOT be purchasing Pokemon Rumble Blast 3DS, as much as I enjoyed the previous wii iteration, because I have no one to play with within 50 or so miles.

I'm probably going to add more as I remember, because my memory is fail like that.

Got about 3 hours of sleep before waking up at 2am thursday to go to the airport (and realized right as I got there that I FORGOT MY BADGES AND COLLAR T.T), and after 2 flights and much waiting around in an airplane and in lobbies, I got to the airport there and was picked up by  keefox and  gelus.

I don't really remember too much from thursday, we kinda just chilled around the convention area. Bumped into both  hali and  flarestarfire briefly, wish I could have talked to both of them more D:

Friday (and most of the rest of the con) we did more or less the same, only with more people.  indigo  crossdog367  leshana  arokh3  skitzycat  zippiner  blondevelvet18 are the names I remember/wrote down/whatever. I'm sure there's a few more, but I'm terrible at remembering things D: And the alcohol did not help this.

I did get to see  chazzfox and  silkenpaws briefly, but never saw either of them for the rest of the con. I didn't ever bump into  kalida or  silverautomatic. I was a sad folf.

But anyway, I can't really remember times of things or whatever, so i'll just list all the awesome things I remember.

- Getting drunk (I <3 woodchuck cider) and watching the ASDF movies/MLP/Random youtube videos on  arokh3's projector

- Playing some game (though, i only watched) where one way for a certain character to win was to die first.

- Running into TONS of people on the 3DS, I got done in one weekend what took me months of getting those walking coin things.

- Going to this AWESOME hibachi place and breaking my allergies and mixing pills and alcohol (whoops), and then passing out pretty much the second we got back to the hotel.

- Speaking of allergies, meeting  crossdog367, who also has wheat/casin allergies. Yay for there being someone who shares my pain. XD

- Playing  keefox's game, and I was surprised. A card game I'm actually interested in? What is this witchcraft? D:

- I had never heard of/talked to about half the people on that list up there, so meeting people is always awesome.

- Using a bottle opener wrong and being totally confused.

- Having the best hamburger ever, I'm going to figure out how to steam hamburgers D:<

- We made a big deal about disgusing our alcohol in water bottles and crap to bring into the con, only to see several people outright drinking. We felt silly.

- Waiting in line for about 20 minutes with  keefox at walmart because the checker was either stoned or high or in a bad mood or...something.

- Eating chili directly out of a can several times, because that was pretty much the only thing I could eat from the corner store thing.

- Going to chili's and having to eat fajitas with corn chips, because i no can haz flour tortillas, and they didn't have any corn ones at this particular one, I've got them from another chili's though D:

- Watching  blondevelvet18 draw Muhammad Ali with a scorpion tail, and listening to  gelus make a story for it.

- Screwing with the crosswalk button.

- I didn't get charged for all 5 people in the room, only 3, yay for the front desk guy being stoned! or something. He didn't give a fuck either way. He was just like "...'kay, here's 2 extra keys"

- This is actually the first con i didn't go to a single panel/ceremony, but it was by far the most fun.

and that's all I can recall atm.
Got to the airport at about 4pm Monday, got home at midnight. Didn't get to sleep because there were 4 screaming terrors on the second flight. Yet the guy next to me managed to, and I haaaaaaaate him for it. XD
