Goal reached!
Posted 2 years agoWe met our funding goal! Thank you so much to everyone that contributed towards the GoFundMe. Toaster is very appreciative of everyone. His future remains uncertain in terms of his physical and mental health, though he has additional resources to help, and knowledge that people out there care about him which is valuable too. Thanks again!
Help request for furry artist
Posted 2 years agoHi everyone,
I am writing this for a friend and furry artist named Toaster-Arts. He has been great to work with. He drew all the comics for my superhero character Captain Mask.
Here is his page where you can see more of his art: Toaster-Arts page
I am writing this because Toaster-Arts is in bad shape and could really use some help.
Here is the link to the fundraiser where you can read his story:

Even if you can't donate anything, offering words of support for him during this difficult period is also appreciated.
Thank you.

Movember
Posted 3 years agoNovember is Men's Health Awareness Month. I've been growing out my facial hair for the cause. It's a little itchy, though for this month my cat and I can match since we both have face fur, heh.
Here are some statistics around Men's Health.
Testicular cancer is the #1 cancer for young men aged 15 to 34. Thankfully with detection it is usually treatable.
1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. This cancer is more difficult to treat than testicular cancer though it has one of the higher rates of survival for cancer.
The most troubling statistic is around mental health.
4 out of 5 people who commit suicide are men.
Part of this imbalance may be the result of men being more hesitant to reach out if they are struggling.
If you have thoughts about harming yourself, please do not hesitate to reach out to someone. A family member, trusted friend, mentor, or a hotline. It's ok to not be ok.

I'm back!
Posted 3 years agoAfter being off for a year and a half, I’ve decided to officially return to FurAffinity.
One reason that I left previously was concern over too much time spent on social media, and that I should stop using some accounts to get control over social media usage. At this point I am confident in my ability to limit time on social media and not use it too much.
I also left over the website’s stance on a particular issue. I still don’t agree, though I believe users can use the platform and not agree with all of the website’s decisions.
I never truly stopped using FurAffinity, I simply wasn’t posting anything to my own page. Doing so deprives artists of another location to show the great work they’ve been doing. There are so many talented artists in the fandom, and FA provides a great platform to show artwork in one place.
I’m excited to continue getting artwork to express myself, connect with others, and show the talents of many artists in the fandom.

My first (and last) journal
Posted 5 years agoI never felt compelled enough to write a journal entry before, until now. I am writing this journal to announce that I am leaving FurAffinity.
This decision was brought about by a combination of two reasons.
1. The Netflix documentary “The Social Dilemma”. This movie made me seriously consider how I use social media, and if it makes sense to continue with all my accounts. I decided it best to let this account go.
2. FurAffinity’s stance on some moral issues. I had heard of things here and there about the platform, and decided to keep using it. The final straw for me is seeing their response being ok with zoophilia. https://twitter.com/FlamingoPol/sta.....11647697895424
There is a point where we have to draw a line, and I’ve decided to draw it here.
I appreciate FurAffinity for allowing me to make connections with some great people. But now it’s time to move on.
