Our AUGUST bowling meet is now official. i know this is short notice for some but please follow my twitter or facebook for updates. Also the telegram group for houston i update as soon as i get dates locked in.

This is the last one for 2017. I will be giving our Christmas cards for anyone attending and maybe send some out to those that have attended before if i have their address. Place: ST. Arnolds Brewing company(2000 Lyons Ave, Houston, Texas 77020)
Time:11am-3pm
Cost:$10 entrance fee and an additional $10 if youd like to get 4-8oz beer tasting. Also comes with souvenir glass.
Something New to do in HOUSTON. Ive been wanting to have a group to go with to breweries.
Come hang out with other furs, play board games, taste some craft beer, and food. This is just a casual hangout. No fursuits. GET HERE EARLY.
Since we are going on a saturday its 10 dollars admission charge. IF YOU ARE OF AGE and want to taste beer it will be an additional 10 dollars for 4 8oz tastings and you get a souveneir glass.
You can bring your own food or there is food to purchase at the location but the menu is small than on a weekday. There will be 3 tours of the brewery should you be interested in the process in how to make beer.
I will bring a snack and also I have telestrations and the base game of munchkin.

Draco runs a houston furries meetup group that you can see the meets, Or join the houston facebook group to keep track of the meets and get invites for reminders. But as ive stated ill try to post here also.

Hey guys, we are at about a month and a half away from the next bowling meet. It has felt like forever since the last one. Anyways i just wanted to send a reminder for those that need lots of time to request a day off or the early shift. A couple of notes to add
1)I need an accurate headcount this time. Its for my purpose only, a surprise really for anyone coming. Just put on the event page that you are going and that is good. If you are bringing someone without a facebook just say so on the event page.
2)I want to try to do a white elephant gift exchange but ill try to get that going in the event page.
Remember this is 2 weeks after MFF. Ill see some of you all there.

This is our 4th meet. As usual we will meet in the the party rooms next to the laser tag area at first then we will move to our bowling area. We are not allowed in the bowling area until 7pm. Keep an eye on this journal, I will update if anything changes. I cant wait to see you all again.
This meet also please keep in mind ill have a box that you may give money(completely optional but anything helps so much) so that we may give our hard working servers a small Christmas gift. They work so hard for us and always are excited to see us. They have been absolutely amazing helping so id like to get them a small thank you since it is the holidays.

This event is a week after AC, and 2 weeks before Furry Siesta. Space city comic con is the week after so i dont believe anything else is going on in the city for us furs. The event is fursuit friendly but you dont need a fursuit to join in on the fun or the group picture. Although we will have a picture only for suiters.
Third bowling meet in the katy area. Please get there around 6pm so that we could get you all organized for lanes if you are bowling. I will have 6 lanes for bowling and it is first come first serve. If you are bowling Please RSVP with me so that I know if I need extra lanes. If you don't rsvp and I run out of space, you will have to wait for a game to end.
As of now we have the same set up as before, meet in the party rooms by the laser tag area. and we will just wait there till 7pm. When 7pm starts we can go over to our bowling area.

Cost: Bowlers $18(includes shoes, sodas, lanes and tip for waitres). $3 for unlimited sodas/tea for those just hanging out.
Ok guys tomorrow is the day(make sure you look at the address/location), a couple of things that i need to mention before the meet
1)I have asked for one of the party rooms from 6pm-7pm so we can meet and we can check you in. It looks like it may rain tomorrow so we may not be able to meet outside like last time. The party room is near the laser tag entrance area through some glass doors. ill have someone directing people over
2) Tai Liddel and I will take payments and give wristbands out in the party room. I have tyvek wrist bands for anyone attending. This serves 2 purposes. It lets me see who has paid and give me a headcount. Guys, Yes I am using some of my own money to start this meet. I do place a deposit on the room, and the final bill comes to my account. I don’t want to fall into the red too much ideally id like to break even and no more.
Breakie and Roko will take pictures and video of the meet. If you do not want your picture uploaded online please talk to me and our photographers and we can make sure your picture is not uploaded. If you really like a picture and want it re-touched up, Roko will retouch up any picture you want from the meet for free for this meet. Any meets after she will charge $5 per picture. Please messege her for details. Im just passing along info she sent to me.
Nero and I will be at the door making sure the public will be kept out.
Times Square emailed me and said that we may get the same hostess as last time.
Group Picture will be at 8:30pm You don’t have to be in suit to be in the picture EVERYONE IS WELCOME.

We have been given an extra 30 mins for suiters to get into the area and get changed. I am setting an early meetup time so to get payments then everyone can enter: 6:30 for suiters and 6:45 for everyone else.
This is Memorial day weekend so some people will have a 3 day weekend.
Ill add more info as I get things set in stone but Hope you all join again :3 Again any input/comments/criticism is always welcome

We have been given an extra 30 mins for suiters to get into the area and get changed. I am setting an early meetup time so to get payments then everyone can enter: 6:30 for suiters and 6:45 for everyone else.
This is Memorial day weekend so some people will have a 3 day weekend.

Houston Bowling aftermath
Posted 10 years agoTHANK YOU GUYS FOR COMING OUT. Our waitress was already asking me when a second meet was going to happen and so was the manager. Our waitress really loved you all she was awesome helping me with the event. The staff loved you all.
Now what I need from you all is thoughts, concerns, ideas, complaints voice them here or send me message.
I hope everyone got to bowl what they wanted and it wasn't too crowded.
Next time will be smoother and I promise to get you all going faster. I hope you all liked that we had our own little area, and the restrooms to ourselves. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN

4)I have to repeat this but outside food is not allowed at the event. Not my rule but the venues rule. They do have some options there and there are restaurants nearby also.
This is just an idea but we do have 3 screens we can control so we can set up music we want or tv. Does anyone want to set up the music for the group?(please keep it family friendly) If not the venue will play the music they have.

2)While fursuits are allowed at the establishment please please dont run and horse play. You already have limited vision so dont do it. This also applies for non-suiters DONT RUN/CHASE each other.
3)The venue has food for sale, unfortunately they dont allow food from outside(only cake is allowed to celebrate birthdays). So eat before the event or during. There are plenty of restaurants near by that you could have a good dinner.
4)NO LEASHES, NO FETISH GEAR, NO OBSCENE GESTURES. COLLARS are ok. We are in a venue with kids and families. Please dont be the one that prevents us from getting another bowling meet set up.
5)SMOKING- GOOD NEWS you wont have to stand out in the cold/heat there is a bar indoors that allows smoking. Take your drinks to be bar snag a table and smoke. Non-Smokers dont worry its on the opposite end of the venue.
6)Please keep track of your belongings. I will have an area for the suiters boxes/bags. Dont bring a lot that will be a hassle for you to keep track of. This does not mean dont bring anything just be able to keep track of it.
7)Lastly any local/federal laws apply. Im sure you know some of them dont break them.

Houston Bowling Meet UPDATE
Posted 10 years agoSo I think i have the place in mind and the date also in mind. So i went to the bowling alley and met with the management. I have her word and in writting that FURSUITS ARE ACCEPTED. The only thing is that bowlers have to wear bowling shoes. bowling isnt just for fursuiters. The area will have 1 billards table and 6 bowling lanes. If we need more we can get more. There is a private bathroom(2 i believe) for our area( we can use one for suiters to change). We can close off the area(with curtains) to keep the public out if we wanted.

A few additional things
1)The event can be a glo-bowl(black lights and glowing pins) or just regular lighting.
2)If we wanted to do a laser tag/arcade/laser challenge(Think mission impossible, get to the red button without tripping a laser) I can set it up and we can get a discount from regular pricing. Laser tag area is one floor. I think if we get 10 people to do one of those then Ill arrange for it.
3)For the first one i will not get food but try to get unlimited sodas for the group(water is free). If we do a second one we can talk about setting up some thing for food.
4)There are 3 screen which we can control, I can set up college basketball for the fans, or connect a laptop for videos/music, or we can just use the music/music videos that the place has. Each screen can play something different.
Now the part some are wondering: cost. As of now with 36 bowlers the price will come up to about $14(30 bowlers=$17)(this includes shoe rental) This is for 2 hours of bowling. So the more people i get the better. Although i will cut off the lanes at 6 furs per lane. Its just so that people arent waiting a long time for their turn.
For the non-bowlers, I am still thinking of this. Honestly please help pitch in ill determine an amount within a few weeks. It wont be more than 5 dollars. Also if you want only the arcades let me know if i get 10 or more people i can ask to buy the cards they use for the arcades. They will match what we put(we but 10-$10 cards they will add an additional 10 for a total of $20 per card) If there is any extra money it will be used for the Next bowling meet if the houston furs want it.

Lastly HOUSTON FURS, lets get this going id like to have this bowling event regularly, The more successful we can make this the more I think i can talk into getting a few perks for us. Id like for us to have a regular bowling meet. I hope we can all make this happen for our group here in houston. I hope you all can make it. I will work out a solution for us about money before i place a deposit.

Posted 10 years agoI wanted to start a furry/fursuit bowling in Houston. Let me know which option you would be interested AND a date it would work for you. I think i can set one up for feb but keep in mind Furry Fiesta is that month also. March is another month i can set this up. Please let me know which will work/youd like. so i can move forward with setting up the event. I have contacted a few places that would be ok to host a Furry bowling event. I did get some places that do not allow fursuits so i wont bother listing them except for one which i did bowl at once.
I am currently looking at
1)Times Square-Katy area
A)Grand plaza option is 6 private lanes(shoe rental included) and a billards table for $325 for the first hour and $125 for additional hours. This option would be the best for now as the more people come the cheaper per person. Assuming 30 people for 2 hours the cost would be 12 dollars per person
B)Weekend/Night weekday options is $50 dollars per lane and $29 for additional hours. Shoe rental included.
2)Bowlmor(bunker hill area)/ Bowlero-(Woodlands)
A)Weekday rate: $22.99 per person for 1.5 hours of bowling
B)weekend rate: $96 bucks per lane+ $5.09 for shoes (there is a food and beverage minimum in this option)
3)Main Event-Several locations
A)corporate said no covered faces but ive bowled here before in suit i can talk to management and maybe work out a deal.

New Year 2015
Posted 10 years agoSo this past year I graduated, got the job I wanted and I also have done so much these past few months because of the extra time off and because of the job. So the next step? I dont know what I want to do just yet Ill have to figure it out quickly. I can own a home, grad school, get a second car, etc. Ill figure it out sometime. so 2014 was great at the end and during the summer it was a tough time for me but hey it was 3 months and the rest was awesome. Its been pretty great recently and already making plans for 2015. maybe ill toss in a third and fourth con or just take a vacation in the US.
