Posted 4 years agoAnd so with the day the spirit world crosses reality things may slip through the weaker veil or simply crash right through. A crawling colossal hunger now wanders the night looking to fill itself with anything it can find so beware. For what was once a dream is now terrible reality. The first has slipped past but the others hold still….. for now.

This is not a place you should be. This is not a place a human is safe... not any more. But look at you, stuck here now in this maddening expanse that feeds on your own terror only to spit out fear and worries. Nothing is here for you. Only limitless power, knowledge and potential, that’s nothing you need. Well certainly not like this at the very least.
What were you thinking? You thought you could be the hero, save the day, get recognition, redemption, fill in that hole in your frozen heart? No you’ll only make things worse for yourself and you already don’t have much left to give. How do you even keep going knowing full well there is nothing left. You don’t even know why you do this any more if you ever did at all.
One act of desperation was all it took for that mistake. A drop of blood in the water and the shark came right to you hungry for more. Oh sure you saved the day and they would one day fix you in return but look at your mangled body now. More a puppet then the master even without threads you are bound.
Perhaps the last chance you could have had at a true death but couldn’t hold the weight. True that soft creeping voice called out and stocked your fear but you wanted someone else to feel some of the pain you felt. All the better since they deserved it. Sometimes you do get it right and chose to fight a cancer with a cancer and feed that foul swamp.
How much suffering has entered the world because of you? Mostly yours a living suffering nightmare, your one blessing worse then the curses you bear.
What was that?
Pay no mind. Sounds of trembling scampering claws running through your walls, your floors, your mind. They are maddening but they will fade you will see to that, replaced by a twisted Gemini that grows into a raging hunger. A feast for the world to bear witness and fear, something so old as to be forgotten by hell itself. All you had to do was give up a poison that seeks noting but your end out of jealousy. I’m sure you will be fine after all you can run, as pointless as that is.
AND SO THE NIGHTMARE BECAME REALITY, YOU DID MANAGE TO COME OUT INTACT BUT FOR HOW LONG?
What was that?
Must be your mind playing tricks on you. There is no shimmer there, only clear darkness clinging to the walls and watching. Eager to get a hold of you, a gift from a friend, a shifting force wielding a veritable rainbow of power. Yes a gift forced upon you from a friend that would not let you act in sacrifice. It’s your life. But it’s not. You look scared, all that raw potential an echo of what you once were, after all how can you hide from everything and nothing?
What was that?
Hmm? No I am the only one here, we’ll not really. This isn’t my realm and it sure isn’t yours, a place barely comprehended by humans. A place where time doesn’t exist so it is aware of you even before it’s birth. It is and isn’t here, watching in tears knowing the great tragedy of your life and knowing it’s not going to end. Loosing one of the few lights you treasure only to have it illuminate the darkness around you in a single spark of goodness that reveals the long shadow you cast. Perhaps one day you’ll sleep better once you know maybe it’ll even take some of your pain away. But there is always more to share, Poison even in your dreams.
What was that?
Nothing, nothing so silent you could hear a pin drop. Interesting how even in silence how you can not hear the creeping threat. And despite everything you panic like a child giving into the shift with no toy to save you this time. Her pins though, imbued with the dark powers of life touched all manner of pain and creation even your own. Feeding on that fear an unintentional creation not quite as kind but willing to mend your broken body.
No you will not escape this fate, even knowing all your errors doesn’t mean you won’t commit them. Sin is sin and the sin of innocence is a beacon to the dark that preys on this world, your world and the next. I wouldn’t worry, it’ll hurt but you barely feel pain as it is just a num burn as you live through your own self imposed oblivion. I’m sure you will come here again. You always do. Seeking answers without asking questions feeling the frustration and futility of it all and yet in the end you will find your voice. Three simple and yet so utterly meaningless syllables every time.
Who am I?
I am nothing. Does it even matter? No. No it never does and yet you insist on wasted opportunity on something that can’t even be proven even here in this void. Now it’s time for you to sleep. You’ve no need of this place it’s not for your kind even if you almost were worthy. Sleep now wretch and some day I shall yet again answer your question as you remain in fear and uncertainty. I will give you some advice despite it already being too late. Maybe you’ll change your path this time but I doubt it, trapped by the treads of your own unravelling tapestry.

The mage sat up, stiff as a board, dripping in a cold sweat that seemed to flow from now where as if made from fear itself ass it rolled down his body. He hated dreams like that dreams that he would swear were real and yet so alien as to be rejected by his mind and fade to nothing. He tuned and slumped over the edge panting as he calmed down staring at his shaking hands. Whatever that was it was gone now, gone where all dreams go when you awake freeing your mind.
“One decent sleep I can’t even have that.”
He rose and crossed his room to his door, stopping momentarily to glance in his mirror. He hated mirrors, they always seemed to be hiding something just beyond their surface taunting him with a kind of knowledge he could never know. The early dawn sun catching his curtain and casting a looming shadow across his reflection making it a lie. He idly wondered if perhaps he was the reflection and what he saw was the truth. Such a though was laughed off and dismissed easily, things here sucked too much to be a mere reflection.
As he opened his door and entered his home he silently hoped that for once things could be some semblance of normal at least for a little while. It’s a shame that he would get that wish.

General updates, cool stuff, knitting
Posted 7 years agoI’m taking a break for a few days from F76, gunna be out of town this weekend anyway, I’ve been going hard and need a break especally with what I need to do in it now. It’s a fun game I reccomend it!
I’ll keep uploading art. I’ve managed to accumulate some recently and have a good stash. I’m still looking to split comms with any folks interested if there’s a good idea to be had. Hit me up and let’s talk 👍
I’m still drawing, a little bit every other day, not so much improving more developing a style it seems adapting what I am able to already do. It’s slow but it’s going to be interesting and I hope soon I’ll have something done enough to post.
I also started knotting a new scarf. I’m kinda rusty and I have a scarf from last winter all tied up so I got some cheap yarn and needles, yay Black Friday, and am making an ugly practice scarf. It’s hella ugly but I remember the motions it seems and I might be able to really pump it out. It’s relaxing.
So that’s just everything this week, pretty quiet and blah. Been talking with a couple folks about my puppets so that was pretty cool, I enjoy talking about them and it’s really helped me be more open and social. Anyway I’ma get back to my hideous scarf, stay warm out there.
Fallout 76 updating, resuming uploads, chat
Posted 7 years agoIt’s update day, I got 70 minutes to kill till I can play so I’m going to upload some art.
As for the game it’s pretty good, I’d still have rather had it as a New Vegas type fallout but it is what it is. I’ve barely explored, haven’t left the forest yet, cause I’m playing it like a normal fallout, I’m really covering every inch I come across and it’s paying off in lore so I’m happy. I got a mic so I can team up with folks when I want, if you wanna team up I’m on PS4 and note me I’ll give you my name.
So the rumors are true, FA has more online users but there is hardly any communication, fave-ing, notes, interaction. I’ve been talking with other users and it’s not just me. That being said I’d like to generate some interest in my stuff, I know I know I really should start posting those stories I promised, so I’m going to open up to socialization.
If you wanna discus my characters, help design a puppet or theorize, or just shoot the shit send me a note or ask for my telegram or dischord, telegram preferred.
Aditionally I’m always looking for ideas for art and such and would potentially love to split comms with folks. I’m especially interested in other plush characters, obviously, and other human or magic users, demons to interact with Nix.
As for how I’m doing I’m getting better, bouncing back and feeling like myself. The Halloween kitten really helped me. I’m back to beening a bit more approachable and happy in general. Getting colder here so I should hopefully finish my scarf I started last winter and can show it off....

Fallout 76 so far....
Posted 7 years agoI’m only a few hours into it and so far it’s..... resoundingly ok. It takes some getting used to for sure and can be pretty tricky but just take the first bit slow, follow the overseer for a bit it’ll teach you the basics. It’s of course gorgeous. If someone attacks you hit them a few times back and just dance around them and dodge, don’t run away, most people give up after a minuets or so. People really start working together when they realize better ways to make caps then killing other players. Also THERE ARE NPCs. I’ve seen robot vendors and if you follow the overseer you’ll likely run into a wandering super mutant with a brahmin. He is also a vendor, you need caps just like in any other fallout.
My best advice: take it slow, don’t be afraid to die (don’t waste your CS s unless you are indoors), really dig deep and look around, and most of all don’t shoot first! There are a lot of NPCs like the supermutant vendor who are non hostile and are not you enemy.
Hope this helps a bit, so far I’m enjoying it but I’m barely out of the vault so I’ll keep ya posted 👍

TLDR: some refs started, looking for artists to PAY for their work not begging for handouts. Always love hearing comments and ideas on my characters.
Busy updating lore and info, look for the UPDATED tag titles. Dischord is back up and have an Instagram, links to both can be found on my newly renovated profile page 👍
So I’ve got a couple ref sheets in the works now since posting the ref journal, yay, but there is something I need to clear up. I’m not begging, looking for handouts or freebies. I’m just looking for artists that would be interested in my characters and fully intend to pay should we agree on the concept and get work started. In the past I’ve commissioned artists that were just taking comms and artists that mentioned they liked this or that or gave me feedback or comments on my characters. I find when the artist is enjoying themselves then the art, while great in either case, has a little more energy a little more love. It’s the same with anything, if you have passion or enjoy what you do it’s going to come out with that extra something and everyone involve will enjoy it all the more.
I’m still busy updating descriptions and lore so when I’m completed one I’ll change the title to UPDATED. Mostly for the refs but there are some pics in my gallery that have info or stories tied to them so be on the lookout for those in the nearish future.
I’ve recreated a dischord server so we can help explain Nix, the puppets, their magic, world, etc. This time I won’t let it implode by overextending myself like I did 2 years ago. I also now have Instagram, it’s new so there’s not much there, it’ll likely be where I post some ideas, any of my bad art till I deem it presentable, knitted things, models, it’s more of a personal thing, for now, but it will fill up with stuff from here.

Nix needs an update, redesign and one hell of a refsheet with outfits, expressions multiple views, pose important features, traits.... it’s a lot and finding an artist that does a)humans b)refsheets) c)extensive refs is proving surprisingly difficult so if you happen to have a suggestion please let me know! I’d love to get this one made ASAP as I can properly use him and he can anchor all my stories I want to post without needing to explain so much.

Posted 7 years agoSo last night I’m laying in bed about to sleep thinking tomorrow art tablet. Art tablet art tablet tablet tablet tablet is an iPad iPad iPad...... i fecking have an IPad... *deeeeerp* so I get up and proceed to download several apps and play around in one. It felt awesome and natural. After I got off work I went to staples and got a cheap stylus, got home played with it (it’s cheap but good enough to try8 and started working through all the apps. The ones I’ve settled on, Adobe draw Sketch Desk and Sketchbook, all ar based in using multiple fingers so stylus not needed.... poop. But hey I’m sitting here figuring out sketch desk, it’ll tak a good while, but it feels good and while it’s all still terrible I’m not as bad as I’d thought I’d be. Good thing it’s a long weekend let’s see what happens 👍

Posted 7 years agoYeah so along with all those changes I mentioned a few journals back I’ve been considering drawing and painting again. It’s been about 6 years since I seriously did either with any commitment. Work, life, etc just all got busy and I had to drop some hobbies. I think I’ll go to Staples tomorrow and check out some cheap tablets just to give it a shot. Less pressure with digital art I think so if I do it may stick, we will see but it would be nice to start getting all these ideas out of my head one way or another without breaking the bank. Any tips or comment or questions are appreciated 👍
