MFF and Wrestling
Posted 15 years agowhat a fun weekend I had. Started out Friday evening when me, pawncethepuma and 
leonpuppy went to MFF for the night. Walked around for a little bit before hanging out with 
mahrkale 
fisk and 
rawthan for a little bit. We headed home and rested up for the wrestling show. Was a pretty normal drive down to Woodriver for the show. I only had to ref one match but it was the 30 minute iron man match that pawncethepuma was in. Let me tell you it was one hell of a match. We stayed by afterwards to celebrate MECW's third anniversary. Had food and talked, was fun. We headed back home and didn't get in till 6am. Slept in and headed back to MFF around 4ish for the evening. Once again met up with mahrkale fisk and rawthan and head to Gene and Jude's for some hotdogs. Afterwards we headed back to the con to just sit and chat. All in all the con and my weekend as a whole was great.

MFM 2010
Posted 15 years agoMFM was a whole lot of fun. Being my first con i didn't know what to expect but i wasn't disappointed. We arrived at about 7 in the morning Friday after driving through the night with pawncethepuma and leonpuppy. We checked in, unpacked and rested from the drive. The fact that this is a smaller con made things alot easier for me and i really loved the way it was set up. The hotel was pretty good and the convention center was big enough for the amount of people that were there. It was nice to meet some awesome people and get to hang out with them. All in all it was an awesome con. Can't wait to go back next year, but until then I'll start counting down towards MFF.

Posted 15 years agoYesterday was my last day of wrestling at Oak Park and River Forest High School. It was a sad day to say the least. I've been apart of the program for almost 8 years (4 years in the youth program). It hit me today as we walked home after school that I'm done. I regret not being able to do what I wanted or pushing myself as hard as I could, but in the end if someone were to ask "was it worth it?" I'd say hell yeah it was. If I could go through another 8 years in that program, I would in a heartbeat. I owe so much to Coach Powell and the rest of the coaches there, they've done so much for me and have helped to shape me into the young man I am today.
Thankfully I'll have off-season wrestling and my transition into submission grappling to fill the void, but neither will ever capture the excitement of being part of a team in a full field house watching your brothers wrestle. I'm going to miss it.

The McGriddle Argument and Beardfish
Posted 16 years agoIn light of the movie adaptation of I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, i present to you my favorite part of the whole book, The McGriddle as described by Slingblade(Drew).
"The McGriddle Argument
Even though he can be weird in a lot of ways, SlingBlade is a legit comic genius. The purest example of this is "The McGriddle Argument." On the message board attached to my site, SlingBlade and I (there's actually a "we" here in the book that I purposely omitted because its grammatically incorrect) were talking about a McDonald's breakfast sandwich called the McGriddle. This is the basic transcript of the discussion(Slingblade is the nickname of tuckers friend):
Tucker: Dude---that thing looks disgusting. It has to be nasty, with the syrup shit in it. What is that?
SlingBlade: I can only assume from your cavalier attitude that you have yet to partake of the wonderment that is the McGriddle. Let me enlighten you. What happens is the One True God grows them on trees in the Elysian Fields using a heretofore unused incantation. He then proceeds to magica them down to your local eatery where whatever Ghetto Bastard cook your McDonalds has rescued from welfare that week proceeds to wrap it in cellophane and pass it along to you, the fortunate consumer. You proceed to ingest this finery in the vain hope that your obviously overmatched taste buds can somehow grasp the delectable intricacies it is suddenly faced with. Is that egg? Why yes it is, and bacon too. But wait---they didn't add....yes they did, yes they did indeed. They added cheese. And then, then my friends, they wrapped it in a sumptuous pancake bun! As your taste buds try to process that amazing information, IT hits them....the syrup nugget. THE MOTHERFUCKING SYRUP NUGGET! It announces itself with a burst of confectionary grandiosity the likes of which your palate has never seen."

SlingBlade: If you EVER speak ill of the McGriddle again I will personally force-feed you one while I fuck you in the butt using the wrapper as a condom and then donkey punch you when the infused syrup nuggets explode in your mouth."
second, there is a band that i think everyone should take a look at, Beardfish. These guys are awesome yet they don't get the attention or respect that they should. They just released their new CD Destined Solitaire. You can listen to two of the songs of the new album on their myspace (www.myspace.com/beardfishband). If you want to pass some time or just listen to some great music, i suggest that you check these guys out.
