Seen some differing takes on the matter and not sure if mine will do anything since the changes really don't affect me, and I try to avoid associating my content with the subject matter in question (IE cub shit) as much as possible.
I see it as good intentions, but with a weird disconnected angle to it since it hurts artists who try to stay on model with impacted characters, and if someone is drawing cub shit it's gonna be posted to Inkbunny. Hell, I could see someone like Crittermatic being in some warm water because of Chip, and to a lesser extent Cookie. But even if they may fall under the newly worded guidelines, I personally have never considered them to be cub. I don't think many people do.
I've seen it argued that this won't do anything to combat csam and like, yeah, that's what Inkbunny has built its audience on. It's all there if you want it. FA changing the guidelines will never do anything to stop that shit from existing because of places like IB, or (parts of) U18Chan, or Twitter, or the very open upload policy on e621. I doubt the admins/mods think this is going to change the landscape of furry art sites. if anything it's just to sanitize the image of this website for a potential buyout. (I doubt there's going to be a buyout, but if there is I can say I called it)
For what its worth, Inkbunny is about 5x as usable as FA, and the video support, multi image upload, (mostly) working tag and blacklist system are attractive to atrists, but the audience that makes up the Inkbunny comunity is actually not worth it imo.
Intent matters. Context is important, and these newly worded guidelines ignores that for an "Eye of the Beholder" situation. Which always goes over well, and is never inconsistent.
But speaking of context; Why the actual fuck does the age limit for depictions of pregnant individuals, start at 13!!!??? Also, why is vore involving minors allowed? I'm not sorry, but vore shouldn't be on the list of acceptible fetishes for minor inclusion. Not on this website at least. Because again; Context!
I've also seen it said that kids shows have vore in them. Sure, some kids shows have depictions of vore in them, but very rarely is it anything beyond a punchline to a joke. Seeing a character's silhouette standing upright in the middle of a snake is not the same as a slow, methodical swallowing of a character with extreme detail put into making the mouth as wet as possible. Those multiple panels of someone sliding down a dragons throat is not comparible to the shit they have in kids shows. You could play it off as humour, but most vore is not made for humour. Need I reiterate about Context and Intent?
The guidelines just aren't consistent within the same journal. You can't say "Don't fetishize Minors" and then follow with "...execpt in these situations"
So go draw some humans transforming into pregnant Eevees while getting vored on their 14th birthday. But don't fetishize minors.

Patreon Changes, More Animations! And Public models!
Posted 3 years agoAs some of you may know, I have a Patreon that is used more as a model store than for content and art. I do make art, and there is a bit there right now, but I mainly use it as a place to release models for a reasonable price.
I am changing the focus and direction to a point regarding how I use Patreon, as while I do love making models, I've felt a little stagnant in my creative projects.
But since I've been making pretty much a model a month since November, culminating in the Sangheili and Skirmisher as hands down my best models, I've fallen away from content, and am not too excited about the prospect of running out of steam because I lose interest in a character while making them
So what is changing on my Patreon? Well for one, I'm planning on doing a lot more animations. More renders in general. More polls, more voting, more content geared toward the average user. Right now, it's a little pointless to pledge unless you want the models, but I want to make all the tiers more worthwhile. Both as a benefit to me since life isn't cheap, and to those who want to support but want something meaningful to come from it.
I'll make a proper post, detailing my plans further, but for right now I have some simple ideas. The main idea being the gradual, public release of my models. Probably on Smutbase, since it's the best hosting site I know of.

Posted 4 years agoI've settled on the date for the render request stream. I used to do requests a lot, but when I went from SFM to Blender, I abandoned ripped models in favour of my own. Of which I didn't have a lot. But now I have a selection, and can start taking requests again. You can see my list of requestable models >Here<
I'm planning on starting the stream around 5PM EST Friday the 10th, Since that should be when I can relax without people bothering me. Ideally.
And a final stream question to all you potential viewers,
Should I talk during the stream, or leave the mic off? I think I'm pretty entertaining, so I'm down to chat, and could even incorporate discord into the mix if anyone wanted to join actively, but I'm not married to the idea. Alternatively I could put music on, or talk and have music. Tell me what you think.
I want to make streaming a regular thing, maybe even games in the future. But I tend to be more in the mood for Blender than games currently.

Posted 4 years agoMaking this as a quick guide for the models I have at my disposal for render requests. Either on Stream (Hopefully coming soon) or in the future when I run out of ideas. Basically just a collection of renders I've done with my models. All models in this list were made by me.

Some of the renders I have here aren't very recent, or I haven't made anything with the models in some time, so there might be some differences when it comes to rendering them going forward. I can say that all the models I've linked are at least usable, and any combination of them is possible.
Additionally, anything labeled (Early ....) are models I made and/or rigged much earlier in my Blender Career, so they aren't the most detailed or well built. But they are usable, even if barely.
Alternatively, I might do a render with a model not linked above, if you have a link or can share it. It needs to be immediately usable in Blender. Needing to apply textures is fine, I'm use to that, but I don't want to have to spend time fixing it or converting files to get it to work.
I'm pretty lenient on the type of content I'm willing to do, but I'm also pretty vanilla, so I'm not gonna do any hardcore stuff like Scat, Watersports, Non-Con, Cub, Macro/Micro, or fetishes of that nature. Again, I'm pretty vanilla.
Start thinking of some ideas. The first round of Render Requests will be done on Stream so watch for that when it happens, I'll be sure to post a Stream date before the actual stream day, just so it isn't a surprise to anyone who wants to come by and get a render request.

Posted 4 years agoConsidering doing render request streams. No animation, and definitely not model making because I jump around way too much during both of those to make it stream worthy. I've streamed retopology in the past but that is Boring so I try to avoid it now.

The server might look a bit odd at first, but it's to cut down on bots that join and immediately leave.
You'll have access to the New Arrivals, and the rules and announcements channels, until you are given the
Established role.
The way you get the Established role is you either;
Say hello, to show you're not a silent Bot trying to steal our info
Or
You answer a captcha sent through DMs
Pretty easy, but still susceptible to human error.
You will also be limited from viewing any NSFW channels until you're given the 18+ role. Doesn't require anything fancy, you just need to ask.
Sadly if a Role Giver isn't online, and you didn't get a captcha, you're going to have to wait until someone can give you the roll.
These efforts are entirely to cut down on what a bot can see and possibly skim in the few moments they're in the server.
