Have you ever
Posted 12 years agoHave you ever sent a note, Instant Message, or comment, and later re-read it and suddenly felt like you were being a creepy creeper yourself?
Do you think this is "creepy"?
Posted 13 years agoReceiving comments like these;
"I would love to draw your character some time"
"Can I draw your character? They're hot"
Why, why not?

Anyone Want to be an Admin?
Posted 13 years agoWould anybody be interested in helping administrate this group? Basically, just need somebody to keep it at least vaguely active; post a journal once or twice a week, and delete/block the trolls as they arise.
CONTEST: WIN FREE SHIT BY BEING SMART
Posted 13 years agoOk, so here's the contest. From now until 12PM (noon) on June 22nd, CST (GMT -6), whoever can garner the creepiest comment will win. You can't leave the comment yourself, however; we don't condone leaving creepy comments. That's too easy, and besides, it's always less funny when it's forced like that.
No. What you have to do is submit a piece of art or journal that will generate the creepiest comments. It can be a story, poem, journal, photograph, music or visual art. It has to be posted between May 22nd and June 22nd, i.e. it has to be something made during the contest, not before. It has to be posted to FA; DA or Inkbunny, for example, do not count. Just remember that creepiness is somewhat relative to what you post. If you post a diaper picture, a comment about diapers isn't necessarily going to be creepy (ok, it'll still be creepy, but less so). As well, if you actually know how to draw well, then if somebody gets turned on by it, that will be less creepy than somebody getting turned on by stick figures with ten foot dog dicks. So this will come down to about 50% luck, and 50% skill. The skill comes into play by considering just what sort of picture might get the most bizarre sort of comments.
This is very subjective as far as who wins the prize, but I'll be as fair as possible. 50% of the score comes from the image that you draw or journal you write, or poem you write, etc.; just remember that your skill as an artist or writer is not being graded. Only how well I think it will generate weird and lascivious responses. For the other 50%, I'm going to score for the single creepiest comment, but if they're somewhat close, I'll look at the average creepiness of all comments received on the picture. I'm also probably going to slightly favor images and music over written stuff, but only a tiny bit.
I'm taking a lot of precautions against cheating with this; if I divulge the ways I'll be checking for cheating (which are actually probably too strict) they could be circumvented, but all I can say is that you have a much better chance of winning if you actually play by the rules. Getting your friends to leave purposefully weird comments is, obviously, against the rules, as are any other similar shenanigans.
As far as the prize itself goes, it'll be a commission of some sort. It won't be something ridiculous, but it will be quality stuff. Good luck!
SEND ME YOUR ENTRIES AS A PRIVATE MESSAGE; DO NOT POST THEM TO THIS JOURNAL. YOU MAY SUBMIT AS MANY ENTRIES AS YOU WOULD LIKE. YOU MUST POST YOUR PICTURES, JOURNALS, POEMS, ETC. TO YOUR OWN ACCOUNTS. DO NOT POST ANYWHERE ON YOUR SUBMISSION THAT IT IS FOR THIS CONTEST, UNTIL THE CONTEST IS OVER. REMEMBER, ONLY SUBSCRIBERS WILL SEE SOMETHING IF YOU TRY TO HIDE IT IN SCRAPS.

What Type of Art Gets the Creepiest Comments?
Posted 13 years agoAny particular genres of art, or kinks therein, that seem to bring about the creepiest comments?

Creepy Shouts
Posted 14 years agoI like getting shouts about how the examples aren't creepy, because they're too normal.
You guys are the reason this group is doing so well. Keep on creepin'.

Fan Mail and Not-So-Fan Mail
Posted 14 years agoWhile we're happy with the current ratio of people who like this group vs. people who don't, we're left to wonder what compels some people to seem to take such offense to our humble and unassuming slice of the internet.
It's not because they've realized that they leave a lot of the sort of comments that we espouse as being creepy. Surely. Nor are these the sort of highly - and erroneously - self-important folks, who seem to adopt a defiance disorder whenever they see something that they feel somebody as important and intelligent as them should levy an opinion upon. Surely.
Thanks, guys! Your inconspicuousness is always appreciated!

Post the Creepiest Comments You've Gotten
Posted 14 years agoJust like the title says. You don't have to call the guy out; you can leave it anonymous. Either way works, though!
