Hey everyone!

So, with everything settled for the moment i had a few days to think about things and make a plan for the next weeks. I will finish the current ongoing commissions and after that (which should pretty much be tomorrow ) will work on some private pictures.

With working mainly on commissions it's easy to slip into a certain routine, and every now and then i just like to break that and reset my thinking about the way i want to take my painting efforts. So, since the next weeks will be kind of strange for me anyway, with maybe possibly another move at some point i figured that's a good time to not have to worry about commissions and instead just not having to worry about those on top of everything.

I'm not even sure if i'll end up uploading the finished commissions right away or if i'll do it at a later date, i'll just see how it goes. So for now simply assume that i'm on a hiatus and won't be having much activity beyond answering comments, notes and the like, and will be back in service probably when the new year rolls around.

Hey, update from the move, everything arrived in working conditions....barely...but working condition nonetheless.

So, yeah, back to work as normal for me then finally, at least until hopefully the next move fairly soon, given that the current stay is supposed to be temporary.

so little bit of an information thing, will have a move this week meaning of course that communications will be slower while my PC is on it's way to be shipped around. People who commissioned me know about that already but just in case you're leaving a not or something and aren't receiving an answer it doesn't mean i'm ignoring you, just means that i most likely don't have access to FA or i'm just busy with other things.

After the move i'll be back in good ol' germany and should be set up as soon as stuff arrives (and it still works of course... never know that with a larger move like that), so really just wanted to give everyone a heads-up quickly.

I tend to do one of these journals every year in August for the past couple of years, so let's continue on with that. So if you've got any questions feel free to ask them, can be art related or not, basically anything goes. Though i do reserve the right to decline answering if i feel it's a question i'd rather not answer. Will try and keep that to a minimum of course since it'd defeat the purpose of this whole thing if i do it for every second question.

Hey folks!

Been a bit since my last journal but i really rarely know what to put in here, so it's usually just the commission updates and anything worth mentioning every few months.

So let's start with a brief commission update:
Commissions will open a bit later than anticipated, probably around the end of July beginning of August. Past week or two have been a bit rough for me in terms of work. Nothing really wanted to work out ( which is a bit ironic since many of my recent pictures have been very well received) so the whole process just stretched itself out a bit. Had to restart some, had to call of others, didn't work quite as much as i would have hoped too...Just, bit of roughness all around. Feeling that sort of starting to fade away now, so hopefully the next round will be a bit smoother!
To try and make doubly sure of that i'll also be taking a couple of days off after this batch, get relax some, get some energy back and all that good stuff!

So then the other big topic, conventions!:
I've never been to a convention so far, i had interest in it, but it just never really worked out. Either i was busy, was saving money or just didn't have anyone around that i knew that would go along.
That'll all change now though! While this is pretty early for an announcement and everyone will have forgotten i ever mentioned it by the time it rolls around, I still want to say that i will be attending my first convention next year, wooo! And because the only thing that could make a first convention even more fun is having that first convention be on the other side of the globe, so i chose Further Confusion as my first one.
So it'll not only be the first convention of mine , but it'll also be combined with a long-ass flight and my first trip to the US. Which is pretty much the farthest i've ever journeyed by a factor of 10 or so!
I don't intend to deal or do anything of the sorts. Just a convention purely meant for fun. Sooooo, very much looking forward to that one and of course possibly meeting some of you there in a few months time!

Hey folks!

Hope everyone's having a decent day today. Just figured i'd give a quick update about some stuff.

Not too much going on to be frank, the only thing that's even halfway worth mentioning is that i'll be heading off for a short visit to my parents in a couple of days which is thoroughly needed. Won't be a long stay (because honestly, i would probably die of boredom) and once i'm back i'll be opening up for the next batch of commissions. That'll be around the 10th-12th of may, depending on how things go.

Other than that i've got a few neat little projects planned which i'm absolutely looking forward too. Nothing too crazy , but, ya know, just something neat if it should all manifest as planned! (Starting to feel like a video game publisher...announcing my announcements? )


And since there really isn't much else to talk about why not throw in a thank you? Hey everyone that's watching me! Big thank you to you, yes you there! Got around 8100 of you watching me as of right now and you guys can't imagine how amazing that kind of support is and of course the same goes for the people who actually go ahead and commission me for what i do! Really without it i doubt i'd be anywhere near where i am today given how much stagnation i felt creeping up at my last job. Never a reason to be complacent though, so let's continue to push down that road and i'll do my best to get some more and hopefully better art your way! Sounds like a good deal?

And since it helped me so much, why not try and share the love just in case that it might do the same for others? All of them are truly stunning artists and would probably welcome a couple of new people enjoying their work!

So think it's time for an update regarding the situation i mentioned back in January. Been settling into the new house for a few days now, which means no weird torn open walls with weird haphazardly thrown in steal beams and 2x4s for stability anymore! Or at least i assume,maybe the walls of the new flat are just as fucked, who knows, i wouldn't put it past them given some of the weird irish engineering i've seen in the little time i've been over here!

Admittedly we went from not having complete walls to now temporarily not having a complete floor, but fuck it, the floor isn't carrying anything of value so it'll be fine, and it'll be sorted out in a few days.

That's really all in terms of updates from my side for the moment, commission work will go back to normal, though really there actually weren't many interruptions, maybe 2 or 3 days in total, so not much will change i guess. But not having to worry about all that crap will be nice. That probably was the singlemost stressful 2 month period of my life so far, there certainly were more stressful days or weeks or what have you, but just the continuous thought of not having a fitting home and possibly not finding a new one one for the course of 2 months isn't a very nice feeling to say the least.

Unfortunately it's not the good shit we'll be talking about today... So to all the people in my commission list that i haven't started working on yet, there is a high likelyhood that we'll have to delay things. The reason for that being that is that the house i'm living in is sort of falling apart, like, properly falling apart. So to avoid waking up one floor lower than i went to sleep on the night before this'll need to be the top priority of course.

Now the question is how long will the delay be? And the short answer to that is i've got no bloody clue. Could be pretty much none at all if everything sorts itself quickly or it could be a week or two or even more than that. Just gonna go out on a limb and say it's probably not going to be more than 2 weeks, but we'll see, i myself am still a bit in the dark over what will happen next. Probably jinxed it now though.

So with the commissions being delayed there of course is also the high likelyhood that new artwork uploads will be delayed as well.

Hey folks!

Well it's not really the end of the year yet and i will upload new stuff throughout the rest of December, but I'm just putting down the finishing touches on the last commission and so i felt it's a decent time to give a bit of an update on past, present and future.

Let's begin with a big thank you to everyone , really when i made the decision to quit my old job and leave the country i couldn't have hoped for a better first year and all that was made possible ultimately by you people and the support ,both monetary and in the form of comments, favourites and whatnot, that you brought. So once again thank you very much and i hope that in return i was able to possibly brighten up a moment here and there with a painting of mine! So yes, this year has been great, i was able to progress a ton and there is a day and night difference when i look back to the artwork i created at the beginning of the year and the more recent pieces. And with the experience of this year i also can more confidently plan the next year and it won't be such a step in the dark anymore, which is a nice feeling.


Though not everything is smiles and sunshine of course, i haven't really had any time off throughout this year, and just having to get a new painting ready time after time, finding new ideas , poses, framing and all that is very mentally draining, and especially the last two months i've felt that mental exhaustion building up. So once i'm through with the last commission i'll be taking a couple of days off, just to free my brain up a little. After that i'll probably just work on some private studies until christmas or the start of the new year, since yeah progress has been great all things considered but it's high time to reframe my goals, see where i am right now and figure out what i need to focus on to get to said goals. I always was able to smuggle in elements that i wanted to learn about in my commissions here and there, so i gotta know what is worthwhile contraband for next year :P So expect there to be a somewhat quiet period probably around early january where there might not be much artwork.

So, past and present is done, let's look at the future then! What to expect in the new year? Well all in all it probably will remain mostly the same. I will continue doing commission in roughly the same way i do them now, the system i have set up currently works well for me ,so no reasons to change much there i feel. I'll add a couple of small vacations where i can so that i avoid the mental fatique , and also hopefully can squeeze a bit more time for more focused studies in there. So, yep overall it should hopefully still be a lot of art from my side of things!



And that's it i think in terms of what i wanted to talk about, i hope the years of all you folks have been overall positive as well or if not that at least you can hang in there and see some clear sky up ahead and i wish everyone an early christmas and new year already in case i don't end up making extra announcements for that.
