How did you find furry?
My friend got me into Furcadia, and it naturally took off from there. :)
What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
Anthropomorphic characters have always been my thing. That and a love for animals, and always wanting to identify with them, got me into the fandom.
What's Furry to you?
An interest in anthropomorphic animals.
If someone found out you're a furry and asked you about it how would you respond?
Just tell them exactly what I consider a furry to be. Probably wouldn't mention "yiff" or anything.
What are your favorite aspects of our community?
The different types of species and the art. :D
Do you use any furry terms? (i.e. yiff, paws, murr?)
I used to, but it's kind of died. I still occasionally use "paws."
What do you wish furry was NOT associated with?

Eh, I don't mind. Sort of. I don't like people judging everyone in a community, though. They haven't met every single one of us.

No one bashes me for it. They just let me do my thing. They think I want to have sex with animals, though. I have to keep telling them that I don't.
We all know furries have alot of sexual aspects in this fandom, What's your opinion on it?
It's something I don't share with everyone, haha.

Myself as an aardwolf. (: The main differences, besides the fur and animal-like characteristics, is that my fursona doesn't wear glasses. And he's usually not wearing a shirt.

General | Posted 16 years agoThis blog brought to you without color for once. I'm taking a break for my journals. I think I'm going to explore different types of brown that look good on both the dark && light themes, too.
I totally forgot what I was going to write about.
In any case, I've started playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Is there any online card shop or trading post type place? I have a BUNCH of cards that others would find useful that I don't need. There are still cards I need to get the perfect deck, too.
I have 354 messages to check right now. I've been clicking EVERY submission and journal, but I've been spending so much time offline that I'm starting to fall behind. This Sunday when I have time off of work I'll catch up. (:
In other news, I have almost perfected "High and Dry" by Radiohead on guitar. I've been working on a simple version of the Pokémon Center theme song. Once I get that down, and a few Mario songs I've been learning, I think I'm going to learn the more complicated version of it.
In other other news, my once-awesome Pandora station has gone to shit because it thinks that if I like Fall Out Boy or Audioslave, I like similar music. That is rarely the case.
I'm done rambling. :D If I remember what I was going to blog about, I'll come back to you. :J

So in the last couple of days, my throat's been really grody, like I have a cold. I don't feel sick, though. I've just been coughing up a lot of mucus. After the first day, though, I've been coughing up blood with it. My stomach's recently started hurting me again, too. Is a little bit of blood in mucus that I've coughed up not TOO abnormal? The stomach might just be from my stress and not eating right lately. Oh, and the mucus isn't coming from my throat, I think. It's been when I hock (sp?) lugies. (Spelling again?)

2) I updated my profile a bit. Teafico is my favorite animal and I fixed all of my messengers so everything works perfectly, even Yahoo! ;)
3) I'm applying for CNA jobs. Work has been pretty good to me and lately I've been the happiest I've probably ever been in my life.
4) I feel a lot more awesome. Ego is a bad thing, but it feels so good.
5) Can't stop thinking about The Killers. Marcy Playground concert is coming up with my friend, Daniel.
6) I will never end up like him.
7) I've solved the differences between me and some old friends. We're all good again. :)
8) My friend Alyssa and her boyfriend are moving back to Idaho and I will be rooming with them when it happens. n,,n
9) I can't stop numbering stuff.

General | Posted 16 years agoThis was seriously the best concert I have ever been to in my life. Everyone in the crowd was so upbeat, the bands were awesome, I got a signed album and T-shirt... I can't think of a single way this could have gotten better.
I shared a moment with random people on the floor. xD Me and this guy were dancing and singing to each other, and apparently I looked like the drummer from the second warm-up band 'cause people came up to me. :o
Confetti got all over me. It blasted all over the people who got good tickets and didn't have to sit up in the seats. I'm so glad I got my tickets early.
The Killers came back and did a few more encore songs. It was an awesome night. <3

I hate my job.
General | Posted 16 years agoMy job is so fucking unbelievable. I'll try to sum it up by first telling you about the folks I work with:
First, there is this supermodel wanna-be chick. Yeah, okay, she is pretty hot, but damn is she completely useless. The girl is constantly fixing her hair or putting on makeup. She is extremely self-centered and has never once considered the needs or wants of anyone but herself. She is as dumb as a box of rocks, and I still find it surprising that she has enough brain power to continue to breathe.
The next chick is completely the opposite. She might even be one of the smartest people on the planet. Her career oppertunities are endless, and yet she is here with us. She is a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. I'm not sure she even showers, much less shaves her "womanly" parts. I think she might be a lesbian, because every time we drive by the hardware store, she moans like a cat in heat.
But the jewel of the crowd has got to be the fucking stoner. And this guy is more than just your average pothead. In fact, he is baked before he comes to work, during work, and I'm sure after work. He probably hasn't been sober anytime in the last ten years, and he's only 22. He dresses like a beatnik throwback from the 1960's, and to make things worse, he brings his big fucking dog to work. Every fucking day I have to look at this huge Great Dane walk around half-stoned from the second-hand smoke. Hell, sometimes I even think it's trying to talk with its constant bellowing. Also, both of them are constantly hungry, requiring multiple stops to McDonalds and Burger King, every single fucking day.
Anyway, I drive these fucktards around in my van and we solve mysteries and shit.
I have no idea where this is from, but a friend of mine posted it to Livejournal and I wanted to share. :D

I just need to locate my camera cable AGAIN. I keep putting it in weird places. :P I have pictures from the zoo! (Unfortunately, no good pictures of the hyenas.) I got a hyena plushie. It was actually one that I had bought before, but gave away a long time ago, so I'm glad to have it again. :3 It's so soft. <3
In other news, a couple of friends are offering me really cheap tickets to Lagoon. So I'll probably get those and go when I see The Killers in SLC. I'll visit and while I'm there, too. :3

General | Posted 16 years ago1. Growing up, I had problems with depression, anxiety, and self-esteem problems. For some reason or other, it went away less than a year ago and I now have a bit of an ego. I love life, love my family & friends, and haven't had a moment of true depression. :D No matter how shitty things get, I always stay optimistic. :}
2. When I say I love music, I seriously think it plays a bigger part in my life than in most people. There is not one single moment that I don't have a beat or song going through my head. When walking, I walk evenly to songs. I play guitar, ukulele, and keyboard. My entire mood revolves around my playlist. Also, I will randomly spurt out lyrics to you without explaining anything.
3. My favorite animal is the goldfish. The common, stupid goldfish.
4. I can't decide on a favorite color. It switches between red, blue, green, and yellow.
5. I have a lot of quirks. I always wash off soda cans before I drink. I never open the tab all the way or I won't drink it. I have to touch every chair to my left or else my anxiety starts up. I keep my room very clean & organized. I'm even worse with my video games. I don't play multiplayer half of the time 'cause the other player will ruin the specific way I do things.
6. I've always been an animal person. In movies, I care more if the animals die than the main character. I cried when one of my pet goldfish died just a few months ago. I love my pet rat, Dexter. <3 I baby the ferrets. :3
7. I have a tumor named Marla.
8. I get easily obsessed with books, movies, and video games. Pretty much anything with a story. Right now it's Watchmen, Tales of Symphonia, House of Leaves, and pretty much anything by Chuck Palahniuk besides Choke.

When walking, I walk evenly to songs. I play guitar, ukulele, and keyboard. My entire mood revolves around my playlist. Also, I will randomly spurt out lyrics to you without explaining anything.
3. My favorite animal is the goldfish. The common, stupid goldfish.
4. I can't decide on a favorite color. It switches between red, blue, green, and yellow.
5. I have a lot of quirks. I always wash off soda cans before I drink. I never open the tab all the way or I won't drink it. I have to touch every chair to my left or else my anxiety starts up. I keep my room very clean & organized. I'm even worse with my video games. I don't play multiplayer half of the time 'cause the other player will ruin the specific way I do things.
6. I've always been an animal person. In movies, I care more if the animals die than the main character. I cried when one of my pet goldfish died just a few months ago. I love my pet rat, Dexter. <3 I baby the ferrets. :3
7. I have a tumor named Marla.
8. I get easily obsessed with books, movies, and video games. Pretty much anything with a story. Right now it's Watchmen, Tales of Symphonia, House of Leaves, and pretty much anything by Chuck Palahniuk besides Choke.

My real name is Michael. I've always gone by that. Most people either call me that or nontoxic, since that's my username.

A Quick Update for the Good Furs: Not Important

I just wanted to type to log this all somewhere.
I'm still awaiting a commission I set up forever ago. I'm thinking of, at the end of this month, setting up a new one, one that will blow me away. I've been thinking about it for a while and I think I should treat myself a bit. :P Main thing I'm saving up for is my summer trips to both Indiana and a couple of cons that I've been invited to.
My friend Casey moved back from Wyoming, so I've been hanging out with him more often. :3
Right now I have two adorable ferrets in my room, probably making a mess, but I'll love them anyway. <3
Went skinny dipping last night. :O
Playing Sonic's Sega Collection thing on the PS3 like crazzzy.
Still doing pretty good, I'll have that computer very soon. x3

Zombies, Hyenas, and Sims 3
General | Posted 16 years agoThis is the latest I've been up in a while. @.@
I stayed up all night playing Resident Evil 5 with a roommate. Kicking the ass out of that game, can't get enough of it. :P Beat it through the first time and going for a second on a harder difficulty. Playing Pokemon Platinum again, too, if anyone wants to trade Pokemon or whatever.
So at the end of this month I'm spending a few days in Boise with
, 
and stuff. :3 We're gonna go to the zoo and see the new-ish African exhibit to see hyenas. n,,n He even offered to get me a hyena plush. <3 Looking forward to the vacation, bus tickets have been bought and are on the way to my house. :3!!!
Other than that, life is going okay! Work is going well (except for a day of me swearing that I'd find a new job) and happy to be saving for a new computer. :3 Sims 3 WILL be played.

Deciding to actually post this here 'cause it involves furries. :P
Worked until around 2:30pm. Was sick part of the day, but quickly got over it by taking a few pills. Hung around with some old friends from high school, got a new Tshirt and some food.
THEN tonight I hung out with ashdragonfire and thebeastwithin. Both awesome people, check them out for sure.
(Ash drew a couple of old commissions for me. [here] and [here].) They happened to be passing through the area and I got to have dinner with them. :D
I'll be uploading pictures of my new T-shirt onto LJ or Twitter, I'm sure.

Money situation: Improving, spent a little frivolously. ;D
Health: Improving! Last night had some bad problems, but it was my first time throwing up in a while and I'm feeling fine now!

Friends: Rapidly changing. Some I dislike, but I've gotten quite a bit of new friends who're awesome. >3 Hung out with a couple last night.
Ummm.... Not much going on, other than just being with friends and stuff. A little stress here and there, but doing way better than I have in the past year. :D
