Posted 2 years agoHello everyone, hope you are having a good labor day weekend so far.
First of all wanted to pay special thanks to those who participated in the Audrey Ama, had a blast answering your questions and helped spawn some fun art pieces.
For those who haven't read the other journal entry, I've been on a COAI Hiatus for the last two months because my job was at peak season and was so busy I didn't want to burn myself out trying to release comic pages at the same time. Thank god I did because it was twice as busy as I thought it was going to be, so much so had it out with my boss about my workload and almost burned out from it all. COAI is a personal project I do for the fun of it, a means to be more experimental with my art, and as buffer for other projects I work on, last thing I want to do is to get to a point where I hate working on it.
But that being said I promised that once September rolled around COAI's next chapter would start getting made and wanted to make the formal announce Ch 4 of The Curse of Audrey Inkwell is in production. While I'm uncertain when the next page will be released I am aiming for this month at the very least (as my workload is always up in the air I will do my best).
I'm also looking into a new way to link all the comic pages together, constantly linking all the pages together is going to be untenable the bigger the page count gets. So I have two ways I can change the setup:
1)Create a single coverart page that links all the chapters starts and keep the page links to only next page and prev
2) have only prev chapter and next chapter skips rather than linking all chapters together
Please comment down below which format you guys and gals would prefer

In my possession, I have 3 Secrets of Gretchen’s, 3 secrets she would very much like to keep secret. But what’s the point of information if it is not shared?
So for every set of 7 unique questions asked here on this ama, I will reveal one and each is more twisted than the last. You have it by the end of August.

Gretchen’s Secrets: (Finale secret unlocked) (7/7)
1. When she thinks nobody is looking, Gretchen uses the full-length mirror in her room to practice poses from Jojo’s bizarre adventures and other Japanese shows she watches. She thinks it will help regain her jock confidence.
2. Gretchen seems to have developed an attraction to men with muscles. Perhaps some wires got crossed during her transformation but she’s certainly developed a type for MCs in the anime she watches
3. Due to the timeline altering from her transformation, Gretchen's mother married a different man entirely, a genius physicist working at the local community college. She sometimes dreams about her old father and misses him dearly and resents her new father because of it. Human emotions are quite complicated~

COAI Ch 3 Completed at Last and Another Hiatus

Thank you all for your continued support and comments, they really helped to get this made and wouldn't have happened if not for all y'all.
So it is unfortunately I must bring some news as COAI will be going dormant for awhile but only for the next 1-2 months. My IRL Job is going into peak season with July and August and I'll need all the energy I can muster to stay on top of that and deal with other ongoing projects I have going on. As much as I'd like to I can't dedicate all my time to COAI especially since I'm not making cash on it. But unlike the hiatus between chapter 3 releases, I have full intentions of picking up chapter 4 once my workload goes down again and may even get some backlog started if time permits.

So figured since I’m trying to get back with COAI series more frequently figured I’d be honest with somethings going on, and atleast explain my infrequent updates.
Last year after leaving work at fedex got a job delivering stuff and been doing that till now. The intensity is insane and well it nuked most of my ability to work on COAI while trying to get other shit working on the side.
During the end of January my best friend passed away. He had ongoing medical conditions before i met him but it had devastated me and to a certain degree still has, though i am better now thanks to family support.
He was the one who inspired me to make COAI in the first place and his passing spurred me on to pick up where i left off. Hence why I reappeared as suddenly as i did.
I’m going to continue to try and get atleast 2 pages a month out if not more but i make no promises other than i will do my best to bring more Coai pages.

Posted 3 years agoHello everyone. Apologizes for the lack of content, life has been in upheaval lately thought I'd fill everybody in.
Around March I switched to a full-time job, been taking a while to get used to and handle the extra work and balancing art and life. I had to take a hiatus from COAI during that time as I had no time to get the next pages for it going. The good news is that my new job pays well enough and my coworkers are super nice.
So where does that leave things?
I still want to finish the current chapter at some point, however, I have other projects that need to be done first before I can get back to it. At current COAI's next pages are gonna be a way out, I thank you for your patience and hopefully, I can get a timeline for a release as soon as possible.

Posted 3 years agoSo I got another sequence in the pipeline, penciled already just got to ink and color.
COAI is going to try and be released weekly for the current chapter so ya boi can get good at the regular updates. Next chapter is going to ramp things up a bit. Future plans COAI
Posted 4 years agoYou know it's funny how life works sometimes. The Curse of Audrey Inkwell was originally only going to be a one-shot flash in the pan sort of deal that I'd do in my old hand-drawn ink format, but then it's become one of the fastest viewed projects I've ever done. Thank you everyone this was certainly a big shock for me.
So with Chapter 2 nearing the end, safe to say I'll be doing at least 2 more chapters at this point, with the potential for more as interest continues. Tho with my other main project work ramping up and still looking for a job, I will try to continue the monthly two pages as I originally intended though I would like to pump out the rest of chapter 2 sooner since there was such a huge gap between pages before.
So with Chapter 2 nearing the end, safe to say I'll be doing at least 2 more chapters at this point, with the potential for more as interest continues. Tho with my other main project work ramping up and still looking for a job, I will try to continue the monthly two pages as I originally intended though I would like to pump out the rest of chapter 2 sooner since there was such a huge gap between pages before.

Posted 4 years agoThank you all for your patience with updates and continued support.
So some behind-the-scenes stuff, a few months ago I lost my job due to a personal error. I've been trying to find a new job meanwhile and working on so this account has been placed on the back burner for a while.
That being said, while I'm still looking for a job, I've finished some steps for said other projects and now I can get back to working on Curse of Audrey Inkwell again. The next two pages are already in the works and with any luck should be up before the month is over.
I have a few other Sequence ideas I might want to make so hopefully get those started. Planning on doing more colored ones based on how well the last post did.

Posted 4 years agoSo despite my absence, I was surprised to see how well Curse of Audrey Inkwell latest pages did, and Auntie’s mansion. Thank you for the support everyone.
It’s motivated me to get the next two pages out ASAP. I do have atleast ideas for the next two chapters after 2 and since I’m in a lull for my other work hopefully get those out sooner than it took the last ones.
Also got some other artwork to come.

I got something new I’ve been working on called Aunties mansion. It’s different from COAI so bare with me. But it’s gonna come in chunks but I already got most of the pics nearly finished just gotta finish the story bits.
As for COAI, I’ve kinda not been as inspired of late to work on it as my other art projects take priority. But I got the next page inked and hopefully get that out between now and Aunties mansion.

Curse of Audrey Inkwell chapter 2
Posted 5 years agoNo this is not a dead blog, New job has been running me ragged but thanks to a friend I managed to secure a week off and made more headway for chapter 2. Currently away from usual setup, but the next chapter for the curse of Audrey Inkwell is in the works.
The page releases will be more staggered as only a portion of the inks are done at the moment. But with this Halloween week, I'll be sure to get the next chapter up asap.

Posted 5 years agoThank you everyone for your support of my first tg comic, almost all my pages have reached over 200 views, outpacing any of my typical art stuff in terms of views. With this much traffic decided I'm gonna continue the story of the curse of Audrey Inkwell.
I made the story cause I felt like stuff like it wasn't being made so I wanted to fill that void. So Audrey is getting a part 2 and possibly more but the next one will be a while as I got a new job on the horizon and my main comic project I'm working on.
