Yes... NordicFuzzCon 2013 is over and gone for this year. But please don't despair! We will be back next year! In fact, the convention board and the two chairmen already started the planning for next year’s NFC during the late departure day.

If you want to help us make next year’s convention even more awesome, please feel free to give us feedback about what you liked and what improvements you would like to see. We are already working our way through all the feedback you gave us in our feedback boxes on location. The feedback forum
(http://forum.nordicfuzzcon.org/yaf_.....back-2013.aspx) is open and we will soon be sending out a small survey to all attendees of this year's NFC. The survey will be quite short and we would be very thankful if you could share your valuable opinions with us and help us improve next year's NFC.

We as chairmen have so many people to thank, without whom there would not have been a convention. That "THANKS!" goes first of all to all our hard-working staff members. Thanks a lot for all the work you put in in order to make NFC the amazing convention it became. Thanks to all who helped us as volunteers on location, and to everyone who organized and ran panels and other events! And great thanks to everyone who attended! You all contributed to the great atmosphere and made the first NordicFuzzCon a success.

Another big thank you goes to everyone who helped our charity, by donating money, by donating artwork, by buying artwork, by buying lottery tickets, by running around with our collection boxes among the attendees, etc... In the end we were just short of a nice even amount, so the board of the convention said that we will add the missing part ourselves. We can now announce that our 2013 charity, the Södertälje
Katthem, received a grand total of 30.000 SEK. They were overwhelmed by your generosity and we can now forward their best wishes and greetings to all of you!

- In the end NordicFuzzCon 2013 had 175 registrations, 172 of which checked in at the convention.
- 75 attendees indicated that they would be fursuiting, whereas 50 suiters participated in the fursuit group photo and the conga-line parade.
- 15 countries were present at the convention with the three largest percentages from Sweden, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
- We had a total of 63 sponsors, for which we are very thankful. Your kind support made many things possible which we would otherwise not have been able to realize.

Maybe you also took part in our Live Upload System (Or at least have seen it)? When we closed it, 160 images had been uploaded, which will soon be compiled into an online gallery.

For those of you who missed the deadline of the online registration for NordicFuzzCon 2013 we are offering you an on-location possibility to register for standard tickets.

These tickets will be available for 900 SEK. Only payments in cash (Swedish Kronor) are accepted. The tickets can be purchased at the convention registration desk or in the ConOps office and give you access to all events during the complete convention.

Sadly we can not offer sponsor tickets for purchase on-location. Booking of accommodation in the convention hotel is possible on location as long as the complete room is booked (e.g. no single slot in a double room but a single room instead). We have added a bunch of new information on the website (www.nordicfuzzcon.org) with todays update:

- The Guest of Honor page now also features a photo of our special guests.
- A list of event highlights is now available on the events page.
- We have made the badge image upload a bit easier and added a small howto guide. Please don't forget to send in your uploaded images for approval if you haven't done so yet.
- We can now offer all our attendees with two or more fursuits to buy additional fursuit badges for 30SEK each. Please contact registration[at]nordicfuzzcon.org to order them. We will then open the upload for a second photo and you will have to pay on arrival at the convention.

We also added some bugfixes and created a background engine which will allow all our attendees to upload images into a live gallery during the convention.

I can now tell you that also DivineVixens "partner in crime" Snout will be at NordicFuzzCon as our second Guest of Honor. As they did a lot of work for the furry fandom together (VCL, the SPR MUCK, Eurofurence 2) they will have a lot to tell us about those early days of the furry fandom here in Europe.

We are happy to announce that NordicFuzzCon will have a guest of honour for its first year! At NordicFuzzCon 2013 you will be able to meet DivineVixen, an early member of and one of the driving forces behind the furry fandom in Europe. Together with Snout, another Swedish furry, he was chairman and organizer behind Eurofurence 2.

Already in 1994 DivineVixen and Snout started the MUCK "Sociopolitical Ramifications" (SPR), which is still running today. On the same server they hosted the main mirror of the VCL database which handled most of the traffic.

As DivineVixen was responsible for arranging the first ever furry convention to take place in Sweden, it only seems appropriate that he should be our guest of honour. So please give him a warm welcome!

Event submissions

Submissions ideas for panels and events have to be submitted on our website latest January 27th. After that we will start to make the schedule and we can not guarantee that we can even consider your event idea any more.

Late registration

All registrations from the 4th of February and later will be considered late registration. They will have a ticket price which will be 100 SEK higher. So if you want the "normal" price you should register latest on the 3rd of February.

Conbook submissions

Submissions of art for the conbook should be sent to conbook[at]nordicfuzzcon.org before February 18th 2013. After that the final layout work will begin.

Registration deadline

The registration for NordicFuzzCon 2013 will close on the 4th of March 2013 at 24:00:00 CET. After that no new registrations will be possible. Changes to existing ones will be possible to a certain degree and availability.

We have a big surprise to all of you who want to come to NordicFuzzCon 2013. We are holding a Christmas Raffle here on FA. How can you participate:

1) make a journal in your account telling everyone that you want to attend (or that you already have registered) and post a link to our website or FA userpage in it
2) answer to this journal with a link to your journal so that we can find it

You can enter until noon on the 24th of December. During the afternoon we will draw a winner out of those who participated. But remember ... your journal still has to be online at that point.

What can you win? The price is a free convention ticket (standard). In the case you win you will get your ticket price refunded during checkin at the convention. Isn't that a nice christmas present? Otherwise the normal rules for the convention registration apply. Staff members are not allowed to participate (but of course are free to make a journal so people know about the raffle)

Panels and events for NFC2013

We are now looking for furs who are interested in running a panel at NFC2013 or help us to run larger events. If you have ideas what you would like to do or if you want to take responsibility for an event then please contact events[at]nordicfuzzcon.org ... We will then have a look at all those ideas and come back to you. We are looking for DJ's

Are you a DJ? Do you want to play at our first Nordic furry convention? Here's your chance! We are looking for DJs who want to spin an hour or so on our dances. If you know your House, Trance, Eurodance/Hands up, Psytrance, Rock, 80s, 90s, 00s, Hardstyle, Hardcore, etc etc. Send us your mix! Show us what you got! Make a one or two hour mix and upload to a place where i can download it with ease such as zippyshare, mediafire, mixcrate or similar. Conbook submissions - we want you art!

Are you an artist? Do you enjoy drawing anthropomorphic animals? Do you want to see your art in full-colour print, in the hands of dozens of furs from all over the world? Then why not consider submitting your artwork for NordicFuzzCon's very first convention book! Submissions should reflect the convention's theme: vikings vs. pirates. You are free to base your artwork around the convention's mascot, Mausie, but you may draw any characters you wish. (Other than copyrighted characters, of course.) We accept both smaller "filler" pieces and larger pin-ups, but we prefer submitted artwork to be in glorious full colour. Submissions should be sent to conbook[at]nordicfuzzcon.org before February 1st 2013. Oh, and due to space limitations, we will not be looking for text submissions this year. Sorry, writers! More and more people are signing up ... Do you want to come yourself? You have not registered yet? You can do so by generating a user account on the website and then you can find the registration on the "my account" page.

We can now proudly present a big update of our NordicFuzzCon website. We added a couple feature you will find interesting. Here are the most important ones:

- You can now upload icons for your future con-badge. On the "my account" page you can find the link to the image upload page. Images have to be between 100x100px and 150x150px. Accepted file formats are jpg, png and gif.
- We also want to help our artists who are coming to NFC. Everyone who wants to sell things (like in the ArtistAlley/DealersDen) is able to upload a description of himself and examples of his work in image form to our website. In a future step that information will be displayed on our website to your potential customers. This feature can also be found on your "my account" page under the link "artist" (but only if you have selected the "wants to sell things at the convention" option in your booking).
- On the right hand side you can see some first statistics about the attendees who have registered for NFC. For now we are showing you the number of countries and the percentages for the five biggest countries. More details will follow later.
- On your "view my registration status" page you can now also edit some of your booking options like "I want to fursuit", "would like to volunteer" and similar.
- And of course the blog on the homepage as a fast way to inform you about news and updates.

We would also like to remind you that you can organize your room share already now. You will find the possibility to invite people to the room share on the "view my registration status" page.

Due to some impressive registration numbers in the first two weeks we are slowly running out of slots in the four-bed rooms. So if you have already planned a roomshare but not all participant have registered yet ... then it would be a good time to do so. Or those few last slots will be gone and the roomshare will not be possible in case one of the members does not get a slot.

Registration is done on our website www.nordicfuzzcon.org ... after creating a user account you will find the link to register for the convention on your "my account" page.

All other room categories still have enough slots left.

Our discounted early-booking prices end this Sunday. From Monday on we will charge the standard prices for all new registrations. If you register for NFC until Sunday evening you will get the lower price. This works if you then pay within the normal due time for payments of 14 days as the registration time determines the price.

Please create a user account on our website (if you haven't done so yet), you will then find the "create a new registration" on your "my account" page.

The registration for NordicFuzzCon 2013 will open today (29th of September 2012) at 18:00 (6pm) Swedish time.

Please make sure that you have created an account on our NFC website as this will be needed to start a registration. The link will then be available on your "my account" page.

Please keep in mind that the badge numbers are assigned according to the time when we receive the payment and not by the time you submit your registration. So in order to obtain a low badge number (if you want that) you would need to pay quickly.

Due to additional fees from the hotel we had to slightly adjust (+50SEK) prices for early arrival and late departure.

Including our early registration discount we can offer you accommodation and convention ticket together for 1550 SEK (approx. 180 EUR).

The registration will be opened on the last weekend in September.
