Furaffinity Community in the next 10 years?
Posted 2 months agoSo Furaffinity has been around since 2005 and as of this journal it's 2025! That means this site has been around for around 20 years! I joined in 2010 5 years after it was founded so I didn't get to experience 10 years of the site until 2020. Add 5 years to that date and you're in 2025 which means I've experienced this site as a user for 15 years which is more than half of its current lifespan.
Based on that what I'm wondering is what will the next 10 years of this site bring in terms of the community? Here's how I felt the community was when I first came here: Mainly, considerably belligerent, strict, stern, mean, unforgiving, etc. I was not treated well when I first came here. People insulted my art, journals, comments, ran circles around my head when I didn't quite get something, blocked me for frivolous reasons most people weren't very cool.
Yes, I was inexperienced/green so I was a little dumb on etiquette so I made some mistakes I'm not proud of like asking for requests without checking an artist's profile to see if they even did them. And yes, people got upset at me for doing stuff like that and I apologize for doing things like not checking their profile first for important info. But even putting that aside I still got treated like shit. So fuck those artists.
Fast forward to today and things are kind of the same if not even worse of the community. Yes, I'm smarter for how I behave with the etiquette and other things but I have still gotten insults for my art as well as blocks for frivolous reasons and the community still seems to be a powerkeg of drama that you have to walk on eggshells not to ignite. And even then you might still ignite it through no fault of your own but rather the impulsive overreactive reactions of the artists involved.
So going back to the question what will this community be like in another 10 years? Will artists still be rude, overreactive, impulsive, and otherwise unreasonable to other artists or will the community be more level headed, relaxed and cut people some slack when they do something minor? I won't exactly hold my breath but I will hope for it.
Honestly the community seems pretty cold right now. It mainly seems to be solely business oriented in the sense that commissioners will write journals about commission sales and that's it. No journals about their lives, how to they feel about the world, what things they want to get done, what things they want fixed, etc..
I mean, a lot of these commissioners are pure business, since they aren't here to chat, offer insight or tutorials, etc.. They're here to make money and while that's their right it just feels a bit empty.
Also if you comment on someone's picture or even reply to someone's picture you're not necessarily going to get a reply. Which is kind of sad but to be expected.
I don't know, I just want to community to be better.

You're not entitled to free art regardless of cash
Posted 4 months agoOkay when someone asks an artist such as a commissioner for free art of even demands it that commissioner tends to get really offended. You know based on the fact they are being proposed to have a picture done for someone for free without compensation. They'll go on about how art takes time and money and how they should be compensated for it.
While that's understandable and all the main problem is really being DEMANDED to draw something for someone even for cash. Like some commissioners have limits to what they'll draw even if you pay them. Some artist don't even do art for money at all, the just draw personal art. No requests, no trades, commissions, no YCH (your character here) no pay per view, just personal pieces. As in art they draw solely for themselves.
These people definitely would not want to be demanded to draw something for someone even if paid to do so.
Okay so what's my point for all this? Well I see all this focus on how bad it is to ask for free art or goodness forbid demand it based on the lack of compensation rather than the principle of acting like you're entitled to a picture. Like people are all like "How dare they demand my services for free when art takes all this investment rah rah rah!". Like the focus is all cash when it should be that nobody has the right to just demand anything from people.
Yes compensation is a big thing but overall it's the principle of demanding art entirely that's wrong.
Maybe this is a bit a semantical nitpick on how people approach this topic. Like a lot people know it's bad to demand a picture period. I just felt like there was too much focus on cash rather than principle.
So yeah don't demand things like art from people period.

Anyone Get Blocked on Furaffinity?
Posted 11 months agoIf anyone feels like saying did anyone get blocked by anybody on this site?
Don't mention any names of course or anything really specific if you do decide to share anything.
Just feels really weird to get blocked without warning or any interaction.

Some people I swear...
Posted a year agoSo there's this ASMR Youtuber who I got into a bad conversation with. I won't mention her name for sake of stability I guess.
I asked her if she wanted any suggestions for her videos and she said yes.
So I thought a suggestion (for her to be a doctor wearing gloves, chewing gum while denying she was chewing gum) and boy did she take it the wrong way. She said it was weird and that people shouldn't gas light creators into making those videos.
I wasn't even remotely gaslighting or doing anything forceful. The way she used the word wasn't even correct. Gaslighting is basically a form of lying where you deny what happened and make it seem like it was all in the person you're targeting's head.
There was nothing to deny or deceive here, it was just a suggestion and she gets bitter and says anybody would find my suggestion weird.
Thing is, I've made that suggestion before and people were cool with it so there goes her logic.
Anyways we ended the conversation on a bad note and for how rude she was to me I unsubscribed from her.
I just don't understand how people want to take the things the wrong way no matter how much you clear things up.

Sometimes I just want to quit this site
Posted a year agoI'm serious, sometimes I just don't want to be on this site anymore. The negative encounters I have with people just keep piling up.
I'm tired of being blocked for stupid ass reasons, the fact a friend I had for over 5 years betrayed me and blocked me for a lot of petty stuff some of which was utterly false, people insulting my art and journals, getting my comments hidden, etc..
It's all just a bunch of bullshit.
Hell, I just got blocked by an artist by asking them if they liked the franchise that they had a picture of a character that's from said franchise.
And I soon as I try to fave another picture they had the site reveals I got blocked and can't fave it. Then I go back to the first picture I asked the question on and my comment about it is hidden. That pretty much confirms that comment pissed them off.
But really?! Blocking someone over a comment over asking about if they liked something that the character on the picture was from? What gives?!
See I asked because sometimes artists have pictures of characters from franchises they don't actually like but like the designs of the characters. So I was just asking if they liked the franchise that had that character in their picture. Like there are people that have pictures of Helluva Boss characters that don't really like the show but like the character designs. I even met and talked with some people with pictures of said show about that topic.
So I ask for clarification and next thing I know I'm blocked no warning, no final response of anger just blocked.
Also I had a couple chats with this artist and we were on good terms but apparently not anymore.
BTW I'm being vague about this whole thing on purpose to be safe in terms of privacy and avoiding drama not to mention it's the rules.
I feel like people don't know how to be people anymore assuming a lot of them ever did. To be understanding and forgiving when applicable.
Nowadays it's just BLOCK! BLOCK! BLOCK! Talking things out? Asking for clarification? Offering the offender an opportunity to apologize and make amends? NO! FUCK THAT! BLOCK THEM! Bonus points if it's without a warning! More bonus points if you were on good terms with that person before!
God damn man, people on this site feel like monsters or something. I hope I'm not being melodramatic or anything but this community is just so volatile it's amazes me that people even get along at least even a little bit.
The community could be so much better if people had a bit more compassion, sympathy, empathy, patience, understanding and what not. It doesn't need to be this way.
And blocking someone who doesn't deserve to be blocked doesn't make you a tough guy that refuses to be someone's doormat. On the contrary, it makes you a weak person that doesn't care about proper conflict resolution skills so they just block when someone does the slightest thing to them.
It's one thing to let someone push you around it's another to be so strict and uptight that you essentially expect perfection from them with how they treat you.
Look whether positive change will happen or not I just want to put this out there.
I'm just really down in the dumps now I gotta admit.
So here's to hoping things can get better however they do.

No We're NOT Whining, the System Really is SHIT
Posted 2 years agoI'm getting tired of the ever growing number of people who accuse people who even remotely criticize the government for making things bad of whining and actually being at fault for their problems.
Like the COMMENTS on this video:
They accuse people that complain about the government/boomers of taking away their money of whining, not spending wisely and not working hard.
Yeah well, here's the thing, inflation, taxation, welfare, drug war, zoning laws and other public policy shit do take away people's money.
It's not a joke or whining like those ignorant, judgmental, delusional people insist.
Are there people that spend money on things they have no business spending on as well as people that don't work hard and whine when they're at fault for being in debt? Of fucking course!
But more significantly is there a system that sucks a lot of money away from you by force and spends it on stupid shit you didn't even remotely ask for?
Of even more fucking course!
Government is indeed a thing, a toxic thing that harms people and when victim blamers deny its role in harming people it's almost like they're gaslighting people that actually get it. Like they're acting like government and its harmful policies don't exist, that were just making things up and should stop creating our own problems.
The problem with these judgmental twats is they don't know how the world really works. That a ruling class really does exist and it really does cause problems for the people that it rules over, rather than the people being at fault.
We're not to blame for what government personally does. I mean there's even participating in government like with voting which warrants some blame but the government is the one that sets up that voting in the first place so they're to blame overall.
If judgmental people bothered to take a look around and see the world has major problems rather than smugly going "It's your own dang fault kid, fix it yourself." to victims of elites maybe they'd learn something and even do something about it.
But seriously if you're gonna judge actually know enough to be qualified to do so.

All the Forms of U.S. Gun Control I can think of
Posted 2 years agoFor those of you who think you can just waltz into a gun store, put some cash on the counter and buy whatever gun that's on the shelf, I've got news for you: You can't!
Guns are heavily regulated in the U.S. contrary to popular belief, and here are just some of the ways they are.
1. License to sell/make guns requirements.
2. Background Checks
3. No more mail order guns
4. new machine gun ban
5. Gun free zones
6. Carry permit requirements
7. Assault weapon bans
8. Items required to be NFA categorized
9. License to own mandate (FOID card)
10. Gun registration
11. Bullet bullet and other neuter requirements
12. Magazine capacity limit
13. Transportation requirements
14. Safe storage laws
15. Gun modification violations
16. Self Defense restrictions
I'll give a run down of each one later.

People Stop Doing This
Posted 3 years agoIf you want to cut ties with someone please be respectful and honest about it.
I've had 2 people (1 on this site and 1 on both facebook and discord) that cut ties with me completely unexpectedly and were very rude about it when either questioned about it or if they answered on their own.
They metaphorically became 2 totally different people from when I met and got along with them to when they cut ties with me.

Is Furaffinity Still Worth It?
Posted 3 years agoDoes anyone feel like Furaffinity just isn't right these days for some reason(s)?
I mean the site and the community just doesn't feel inviting lately. It feels very volatile, callous, and uptight.
Yeah I know, I've gone on about the whole "The art community is volatile and NOBODY wants to acknowledge it!" spiel before but it just still seems to linger over the site.
It feels like more people are in a bad mood more often then not since there's just so much drama on this site and I'm still getting blocked out of nowhere, even by people I happened to be watching!
Like all I did was fave these people's pictures and watch them and now they're blocking me. WHY? Now I can't fave more of their pictures.
Also I see a lot "comment hidden by page owner" marks which shows some bad drama went on.
It feels like the community is tearing itself apart more or less and it's sad. People aren't gonna want to come here and leave their positive mark on the art world if they're just going to get yelled at, blocked or even worse.
The site in terms of real social interaction will be reduced eventually to a purely business sense. As in go in, buy commission, ych's, pay per views, etc. and that's it.
I just don't feel like coming here sometimes. I know there's good people and stuff here and I got to persevere but it's just been really draining over the years having to deal with bad people here and there.
It's seems like a lot of artists have the "Guilty until proven innocent." Like they treat you like your an asshole until you prove otherwise and that just isn't fair.
I think people should be treated accordingly not just be assumed to be one way or the other right off the bat.
So anyways, what you do guys think?

Was I Bullied out of an Opinion on My Page?
Posted 3 years agoA LONG time ago on this site I wrote a journal that more artists should do requests and that it should be a priority.
I just felt it was really nice to get free art and I felt it'd be good if more people did it.
Though free art is nice and I'm eternally grateful for the people who have given it to me. I no longer feel that requests should be a priority for artists and that all these people should be doing them.
Now the word "Bullied" is in the title of this journal for a valid reason. What is that reason? Well, back when I wrote the journal I got some SERIOUS backlash mainly from people that commissioned art and I really felt like shit about it.
The nicest ones lectured me and the meanest ones chastised my ass both of which were uncalled for especially the latter one.
I mean I'm just here giving my opinion and people attack me like I left a bigoted, worthless, self entitled comment on their content rather than write it on my own page.
This treatment I consider bullying. I mean no matter how controversial or even evil an opinion is people have the discretion to write what they want onto their own page. People attacked me as if I didn't have such discretion and treated me like I was a bastard.
It sucked, I literally cried over it and I long since deleted the journal. It was just that painful.
But as for the question in the title I ask it because there are 2 inferences I have floating around on why I don't think the same way about prioritizing free art.
One inference, is that I was bullied into changing my opinion in a sense. I mean I was treated so harshly for having it that MAYBE that's why I feel differently now. I mean when you have an opinion people really don't like you for and attack you about it on your own page, you may free intense pressure to change said opinion.
Okay, now for the other inference. I feel that requests shouldn't be a priority is because they usually don't feel right to do them for artists.
I mean they may not want to draw what people want to draw for them, they may not like the way they're treated for requests, and the biggest reason is they may want to profit of their art. Art is work after all, and it helps to get paid for work especially if you can do it well for a lot.
So it's just better for some artists to do art for money, to get compensated for work.
The things is I'm trying to think what is the actual reason (or the bigger one) I changed my opinion. Was it because I was treated so harshly or because I genuinely felt that it wasn't that functional?
I think it's a bit of both for the reasons I've changed my view but I'll still unsure of what the bigger reason was.
In a way it may not matter because either way I changed my opinion and I see no reason to go back to it.
I'm just curious however.
I mean you shouldn't be bullied out of an opinion, you should change it out of your own volition. Meaning you're actually thinking for yourself without pressure because that would be illegitimate to change your view just because people bullied you into it.
That's not really thinking, that's pressuring, which is wrong.
As for what they said, the meanest ones basically said I was a self-entitled tool one way or the other. The nicer ones lectured me that basically asking me do I really feel it's right to just want things for free.
Let me clear, I wasn't demanding or forcing anyone to do work for me for free or otherwise. I just thought it'd be nice and that it was important.
People basically thought I was self entitled, but since I didn't demand it I wasn't.
To be self entitled, you have to demand the stuff. Not just wish for it, not just desire for it, DEMAND it.
If you want the stuff but are respectful of people's right to turn you down, then you're self entitled.
I guess what I'm really trying to say is don't bully people especially for having an opinion on their page which is their domain to do so. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion even if it's rude, entitled and even downright mean.
Perhaps it is a bit silly to think stuff being free should be a priority since that isn't primarily how economics works and plus it's better to get money for your stuff. But come on, there's no need to chew people out for this stuff.
It's their opinion, it's their page, they can think what they want.
I just felt it was really nice to get free art and I felt it'd be good if more people did it.

I Know I've Mentioned Art Drama Billions of Times BUT
Posted 4 years agoNobody seems to be really covering it let alone doing anything about it.
Now I know internet drama is a given and you can't really solve it as a whole but the art website drama should still be addressed.
Why? Because it can be very destructive and raising awareness at most could help reduce it or at the very least prepare people so they aren't so caught off guard if an artist is inexcusably hostile to them.
For example this journal (https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9924383/) is of another ARTIST insulting my art. NOT a troll an ARTIST. The impression I get is people seem to think only mere trolls do this but other artists can insult other people who are just trying to be creative as they are.
It wasn't that hurtful but it really puts things in perspective that other content creates can insults other people's work rather than the mere troll that contributes nothing to the site.
Also I've already been over illegitimate blocking but for relevancy I'll go over it real quick. On Furaffinity for example you can be blocked for the stupidest of reasons from misunderstandings, mistakes on how a bid works, asking about a picture, asking a question or even nothing at all a.k.a. shadowbanning, etc..
It's just not a happy place to really talk to people if they can snap at/block you whether you come to them or they come to you.
Sometimes I feel talking to artist on Furaffinity is like talking to the standard illegal drug dealer or stereotypical illegal drug dealer at least. You know the gruff, rough guy that isn't here to strike up a conversation, answer most questions, or even be friendly. They're just here to do business like "Do you have the money or not?!" or "Do you want to buy something or not?!".
Okay maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, what I mean is sometimes it feels like on Furaffinity general conversation is unwelcomed and that artists generally only talk if you're doing business with them. Like don't bother trying to have a friendly conversation it's business or not.
Of course there are artist that are willing to chat but you have to be VERY and I mean VERY careful what you say and how you say it otherwise they explode on you and probably block you afterwards. Basically you're walking on eggshells with some people and the only way to be safe is to either just talk about business or not talk at all and even that isn't a guarantee. You can get shadowbanned after all.
So people are more than willing to mention all the unwanted demands for requests they're getting, as well as unwanted roleplay RP and spamming but no one seems to want to mention the rude and volatile artists. It's just so rare to even find a journal about that kind of stuff if one exists besides mine.
I mean I want the art world to be friendly in general at least but if people don't even want to discuss its problems with transparency then there's really no chance to solve the problem relatively. I mean nobody I know of is really willing to talk about it and you have to at least talk about problems to start solving them.
The art world should be a place where you can not only view art but actually have a positive interaction with the community not get yelled at and blocked.
So yeah I've talked about this kind of thing one way or another billions of times and maybe I am pity hunting for sympathy and hunting which would be bad but this is a legitimate problem I'd like to see addressed a bit more adequately.
I'm just confused at what could be the cause of so little to non-existent coverage like do people not thing the problem exists? Do you they not care? Are they unware? Have they not experienced it personally? Do they know it exists but don't think it really matters? I mean it could be any number of reasons.
If more people could cover this topic that would be beautiful.

The cringyest (Well one of) anti-furry video of all time
Posted 4 years agoI kid you not I found the furry hate equivalent of Antifa.
This asscap thinks furries are zoophiles. I mean fuck off with that shit. That shit is rare in the world and even rarer in the fandom. Also what about the non-furry zoophiles? Is he gonna go up against them too or no because they're not furries?
Man there's some mind blowing cringe out there guys.

Posted 4 years agoSee that title? This is the comment someone gave me on this animation of mine: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42016232/
Like what the hell? What's her problem? Doesn't bimbofication refer to actual bimbos?
I mean this is a freaking animation of a Soviet flag being replaced with the U.S. one!
Girl doesn't make any sense. I don't get the hostility.

A Book I Once Liked but Don't Anymore: Double Fudge (Revi...
Posted 4 years agoSPOILER ALERT
The Series
Okay let me give quick rundown of the series this book is from. This book is from a series that is unofficially called the Peter and Fudge series. It doesn't have an official name despite each book being canon.
Anyways the series is about 2 brothers, Peter and Fudge. Peter is the older of the 2 and their family's misadventures. It's a realistic fiction slice of life series basically.
So Peter and Fudge belong to the Hatcher family (Made up Mom, Dad, Peter, Fudge, and their baby sister Tootsie as well as their dog Turtle) with Peter being the "normal" one and Fudge being the mischievous one.
Fudge is well... He causes a lot of behavioral trouble and Peter has to deal with it along with the rest of the family.
Peter is, the "normal" guy who doesn't cause so much trouble as Fudge.
The Book
Anyways, let's get to the book in question Double Fudge. What it's mainly about is Fudge's sudden obsession with money. I mean, he talks about it all the time and is really obsessed and greedy for it.
While being obsessed and greedy for money isn't a good thing it's certainly okay to be interested in obtaining it.
Fudge gets pretty annoying and obsessed about money in terms of him bringing it up all the time to the family especially Peter. So to address this issue they basically do virtually... Nothing. They don't suggest that he get a job, or learn how to budget, or learn how to start a business like a lemonade stand to EARN the money.
What I Think
Will finish later.
I once liked this book for the adventure it brought to the reader but now I realize how bad it is.
For one Peter really isn't a likable protagonist. He worries and cares about every conceivable negative thing other people could think of him. EVERYTHING. He worried about people not liking his choice of shoes, he worried about being seen with his twin cousins and being embarrassed, he worried about the culture of New York not being fond of homeschooling which his twin cousins were, etc..
The guy is just such a pushover in terms of what people think about him. It's like "Dude, have a freaking backbone!" There comes a point in time where you just have to not worry about what arbitrary people think arbitrarily about you!
Like, if the people and what they think of you doesn't matter, you don't fucking worry about it!

I feel bad when my submissions don't get faved
Posted 4 years agoReally I do. I know I'm not entitled to faves or even views (nobody is entitled to pretty much anything but being left alone provided they are innocent and haven't harmed anyone to deserve punishment) but it still feels bad to not get them.
It's just that a fave shows someone liked what you did rather than just merely viewing it. A view can be done just out of curiosity. Like, someone could see a picture as a thumbnail and click on it to see the whole thing but not like it. But if someone faves a picture that shows for sure they viewed AND liked it.
Getting views on a picture is good but faves are better. Faves are basically appreciative views!
Also a fave can be an indicator that did a good job. That you're doing something right. That you have skill.
I mean I noticed a lot of the good pictures on any art website have faves. A fave can indicate that you're good with the anatomy, lines, coloring, texture, content, etc. with the picture or at least people think you do.
If you're just getting views but no faves chances are people don't think you're excelling with your art.
On another note a fave shows a person wants to save your art to look at for later. To store it for themselves on the website. If they just view it, chances are they aren't looking at it again.
Now you may be thinking that I'm worrying over stats and appreciation too much and that could be the case. In fact, in relation to that, I've heard some artists say they don't care about stats at all and that they just want to draw personal art and share it with the world. Maybe I should have more of that attitude.
But I can't help but feel better with a fave than without one. I mean I can still feel good without a fave but I feel even better with one.
For now at least to me stats matter especially certain ones.

This shadow banning/petty blocking is getting RIDICULOUS
Posted 4 years agoSeriously, I'm tired of being blocked by all these random artists that I either had nothing to do with or had very little interaction with that was all stable. Not a fight, not an argument, just either neutral or positive.
I recently tried to fave a really nice picture but I WAS BLOCKED by the person who made it so fav denied!
If you're gonna block someone tell them and let them know why. Or at least give a pretty damn good hint that you're going to block them which is what I do usually do.
I said to this one guy who gave me a hard time over my stamp (which I deleted and reposted:https://www.furaffinity.net/view/37392942/) and led me on "...Have it your way." and then blocked him. Then when he went on another account just to sneer at me I said, "...I'm done." and then blocked him there too.
That's a pretty good kind of hint.
But if you can, tell them you're blocking them and why. People need to know what they did wrong so they can learn, possibly make amends/redeem themselves, and not do it again.
All a block says is "I'm done with you." it doesn't say why or what you did wrong if anything, it just says "I'm done with you."
All a person can do when given an non-informative block is ponder or infer what they've done that gave the person the idea to block them. It doesn't let them know FOR SURE what went wrong. Inferences can be good but they aren't as good as confirmations.
Confirmations = I know what went wrong for sure.
Inferences = I can estimate but not be certain.
People need to communicate if they want to get to the bottom of and solve shit. This whole "Block/Give people the silent treatment." shit ain't helping anyone.
Also what's with the "Everything deserves a block." culture on art sites for example I don't get it? Haven't people heard of forgiveness? I mean at least some things are forgivable so they should be forgiven.
Don't people realize if nobody ever forgave anyone for even forgivable stuff nothing could be fixed? Nobody could ever been redeemed even if they deserved to be?
If you did something bad to someone even if it were forgivable TOUGH SHIT, you're not being forgiven.
I wish people would talk things out more instead of just blocking/exiling people.
For example one time I left a comment a comment on this guy's picture which he thought was an insult but instead of blocking me he simply insulted my gallery.
So since he didn't block me I was able to clarify I wasn't insulting his picture and he understood and we were on good terms again.
If he just blocked me, I not only wouldn't be to fix things, he would just thought I was an asshole and things wouldn't get fixed. He would be left bitter and I would be left empty.
If someone does something that's bad or seems a bit off try and clarify and don't escalate to blocking unless necessary.
As for shadowbanning, what the hell is up with this crap? I mean blocking someone you've never even met or run into? Really?
Blocking is for assholes that won't change and won't fix themselves/apologize or aren't even forgivable. Not for random people especially ones that try and fave your pictures but they can't because you blocked them!
Think about how it feels to be blocked for doing nothing wrong or doing something wrong but not knowing why.
Being blocked hurts so it should only be reserved for those that absolutely deserve it.
The more people keep refusing to communicate and be reasonable the less people are going to bother commenting or even getting an art account entirely.
It's like, "Why bother, I'm just going to be blocked."
Going to an art website will be reduced to either merely looking at the submissions or buying commissions. It'll be reduced to lurking and business. No inciteful conversations or laughs, JUST LURKING AND BUSINESS.
I don't want that to happen.

WhAt AbOUt my rIght tO LIfE?
Posted 5 years agoOkay I'm gonna try to keep this pro gun journal short by focusing only on this one anti-gun quote as opposed to the billions of reasons people should be pro gun.
The argument for more gun control and less guns as well as types of guns goes something like this, "What about my right to life? My right not to get shot? My right to walk at the mall without having to worry about bullets?"
There's so much wrong with this argument:
1. It implies gun ownership is contradictory to the right to life which makes no damn sense. Everybody has a right to life at least until they're severely guilty of wrong doing. No pro gun viewpoint is contradicting this right or ignoring it. Pro gun gun owners and pro gun non gun owners that hope to own one some day (Your truly for example) as well as plain pro gun non gun owners acknowledge that everyone innocent has the right to life.
2. It implies gun ownership is an act against life, NO IT ISN'T! Owning an object even that of a weapon isn't an initiation of force/violence! Using that weapon against an innocent person is sure, but just owning one or using it against a sufficiently guilty person is not an initiation of violence!
3. It implies your insecurities about guns trump people's rights to be able to own them. NO THEY DON'T! Just because you're unnerved by guns and ammo doesn't mean you have the right to get men and women in suits to either take them away and/or impede/reduce the ability to get more. Insecurity never trumps rights!
If you have the right to own something it doesn't matter how scared people are of it you go ahead and get it since IT'S YOUR RIGHT.
It's important to just let people protect themselves rather than be swayed by virtue signaling, false and emotional arguments!
And here are some stats to back up the notion that defending and exercising the right to bear arms is something truly worth doing!
https://fee.org/articles/guns-preve.....t%20be%20armed.
https://www.heritage.org/firearms/c.....lives-property
https://americangunfacts.com/
I know I've been going on and on about how we have the right to own whatever weapons we want and government is bad and how these social issues need more action by more people to blah blah blah.
But I felt the need to write yet another journal such as this because tyranny, stupidity, and inaction still go on so I want try and make the opposite happen with freedom, intelligence and proactiveness!

When to Block Someone
Posted 5 years agoIf someone does something bad to you here is when you should block them.
* If they won't stop.
* If they won't apologize.
* If they won't change.
* If they can't be reasoned with.
* If they did something really bad that requires an immediate block like sending you illegal links or threatening you.
Like if someone keeps trolling, being rude, stealing art, spamming, harassing you, demanding stuff, etc. of you and they won't stop, or change, or apologize, or be reasoned with then block them.
But if you two can work things out don't block them!
If they don't meet that criteria or something similar to it THE DON'T BLOCK THEM.
People have blocked me and others for REALLY STUPID reasons as I said before at one time or another.
* For disagreeing with them.
* For minor infractions.
* For misunderstanding something.
* For making a mistake.
* Even if you haven't EVEN INTERACTED WITH THEM OR THEIR FRIENDS!
* Any other bullshit.
People can freaking shadow ban you which is annoying and degrading as hell! They draw nice art, you try to fave it and get the "You're blocked." message and on sites like Deviantart if you get blocked you can't even VIEW that artists work.
I swear I'm getting tired of this blocking shit. I've discovered recently I been blocked by at least 3 artists I've either never interacted with but have seen their work, interacted very little and was getting along or never even seen until now.
Is the block button entirely at your discretion? Yes and it should be! If the site admins just made you kiss and make up with everyone you've blocked even if you blocked for a stupid reason then the site would be too bureaucratic!
But should you block for stupid reasons? Absolutely not! Blocking innocent people is wrong because they didn't do anything. I mean imagine coming to fave a picture (which I kind of already mentioned above) and it turns it you're blocked so you can't! That can make you feel like shit because not only can you not fave a good picture you may feel as if you did do something wrong even if you didn't! Imagine feeling like you did something to deserve being blocked but you really didn't do anything! That hurts!
I bet if these blockheads who block for stupid reasons got a taste their own behavior maybe they wouldn't feel so good. Maybe they'd even realize how they could have made others feel. People need to have more of a conscience rather than an "I did it so that's all that matters!" attitude.
I've seen submissions like these about unnecessary blocking where some people sneer and say things like "You can't abuse the block button!" or "My block my decision!" or "I block who I want!" and to that I say "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!"
As I said above the block button should be at your discretion but blocking someone for stupid shit is rude, demeaning and disappointing as hell!
It's important to realize it's easier to block or reject people than to be blocked or rejected. Basically it's easier to dish out than to take. I mean when you block or reject someone for anything you're the one in power and they're the ones in submission.
It's easier to hurt than to be hurt.
The more unreasonable people are the more people aren't going to even bother interacting with anybody. I mean why take a risk getting hurt?
Only be harsh when you have to.
* If they won't stop.
* If they won't apologize.
* If they won't change.
* For disagreeing with them.
* For minor infractions.
* For misunderstanding something.
* For making a mistake.
* Even if you haven't EVEN INTERACTED WITH THEM OR THEIR FRIENDS!
* Any other bullshit.
That hurts!

How the NAP will be enforced.
Posted 5 years agoSome people who support government often ask "Who will enforce the NAP?" when it comes to ancapistan. Well I got a couple answers for that.
One, natural consequence. The NAP can be enforced pretty well by natural consequence. I mean attacking someone whether there is or isn't a government is pretty fucking stupid. For example breaking into someone's house is just asking to be shot. So if people break into houses the NAP would be enforced by the homeowner killing the intruder for example.
Play stupid games, when stupid prizes after all.
Two, depute resolution groups. So these companies could be hired to deal with disputes, like two guys getting into an argument over property violations. Well a dispute resolution officer could deal with that.
Three, private police. Police can exist in anarchy, they'd just be privatized. May overlap with the dispute resolution groups.
So the private police would only arrest you for murder, rape, assault, kidnapping, burglary, etc. Rather than, "yOU hAvE A pLAnt! pUt yOUr hAnds bEhInd yOUr bAck, yOU'rE UndEr ArrEst!". So you'd only get arrested for harming other people a.k.a. violating the N.A.P./initiating force.
So that's what I have so far natural consequence, dispute resolution groups, and private police.
You don't need a state to enforce peace!

sonicfan546The public school system is destroying society (Not Finis...
Posted 5 years agoHow? Where do I begin?
Okay one, schools are prisons/indoctrination camps. A mean a prison is a place you're forced to go to and stay at or however long your captors deem necessary. Oh look! What do you know? They're are these things called truancy laws which make you go and stay at school or a certain amount of time! That makes school a literal prison: You're forced to go, you're forced to stay.
Okay now how is it an indoctrination camp well schools are designed to not teach so much as there are to indoctrinate. Horace Mann (the main founder of public schooling in the U.S.) said so himself

Types of Art in relation to the Artist
Posted 5 years agoOn art websites one way to categorize art is on the motive of the person who made it.
What do I mean by that? Well here are the categories.
Personal Art: This is art that an artist draws purely for themselves. It's not a picture drawn for someone else for money or for free.
Commission Art: This is art that is drawn for someone for money. As in someone asks someone to draw something specific and pays them to do so.
Trade Art: This is art that an artist draws for someone in exchange for a picture of their own.
Collab Art: This is art that is worked on together by multiple people.
Gift Art: This is art offered to someone for free.
Request Art: This is art where someone asks someone to draw them some specific for free.
Adoptable Art: This is art with a character that you purchase the rights to draw.
Your Character Here (YCH) Art: This is a template commission where you pay to feature your character in the art.
Pay to view Art: This is art you have to pay to see which is typically posted on Patreon.
That's all I can think of for now.

I Hope I Don't Seem Too Negative
Posted 5 years agoAs you can tell from being a watcher or just being a viewer, I make A LOT of journals about the problems of the world and how I'd like to solve them.
Well I'm hoping I'm not doing this too much if it's even possible. I don't want to seem too negative it's just that there's so many bad things they need to be fixed so I talk about them. It's part of my personality to constantly have the gear turning in my head about how to solve all these problems. You know such as truancy laws, war on drugs, gun control, government snooping, wars, taxation stuff such as that.
It's not just problems the government does either it's also bullying, rape, abuse, stuff that normal people do that I want to fix too.
Anyways I list fun things from time to time like: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9012021/
So I'm hoping I have variety!
