Posted 4 years agoI've been thinking of ways to encourage people to draw, and to make art a bit more accessible. One idea I had was to crowdsource a large list of different drawing prompts people could use if they had artists block or just didn't know where to start. I don't really have a set number in mind for this, I'm going to just post it and see how things go. Please leave a drawing idea in the comments (but no more than 2 per person).
Here are the rules:
1. Ideas regarding sexually graphic underage content, gore, or beastiality will be rejected. In fact, it's probably best to just follow the TOS of whatever site this happens to be posted on.
2. Once an idea is submitted, anyone is welcome to use that idea or alter it however they see fit.
3. Please avoid using OC's or characters from popular media when suggesting an idea. I want to keep these ideas somewhat flexible so anyone can use them.

A NOTICE TO PATRONS
Posted 4 years agoI will be suspending billing for the month of July to help me catch up on my patron reward backlog. Billing will resume in August. I have up-front billing enabled, so if you become a patron during July, you will still be charged.

Posted 4 years agoI have given this a lot of thought, and I've decided that I will no longer be accepting ANY commissions or Patreon requests featuring characters under the age of 18 in ANY situation. I don't want to spend too much time explaining why. Just understand that I'm likely to get pissed off at you if you attempt to tell me why I'm wrong or misguided, no matter how good you think your intentions are. I'm sick and tired of explaining myself anyway, and ultimately this is what I've decided feels right.
I will use the following to help me determine if a character is underage:
-occupation (doesn't help their case if they're a high school student)
-the "google test," the first few results should imply they are over 18
-visual cues (breasts, muscles, face/body hair, etc.)
Age regression is fine, on the very strict condition that the character was over the age of 18 BEFORE regressing. Obviously it's going to be harder for me to dispute how old OC's are or when they're physically regressed, just try to act in good faith.
In the event a character is shown at multiple ages throughout the series, I will draw them according to how they look AFTER they are at least 18.
For Patrons, I will still be finishing ALL previously agreed to art, but if you're on my commission waiting list and you wanted to ask me to draw an underage character, please come up with something else.
I'm not currently planning on deleting any currently posted art, but if you're worried about it, save it and back it up yourself. Stop asking me to re-upload stuff. Stop asking me to send it to you privately.
A less important but still relevant details: I don't think I ever officially announced it here, but I also will not be accepting commissions or Patreon requests for macro/micro art featuring vore (mouth-play is fine, but nothing past the tonsils), crushing, or destruction of buildings with implied casualties. Basically, anything where someone is either killed or injured by a macro.

No Subject

Instead of having people pay up front and then be added to a queue, you will now join the queue first, and you won't pay until it's your turn. For now, I'm limiting it to one slot per person (and I'm largely doing this to give non-patrons a chance to get art from me). Comment below or send me a note to have your name added to the list.

Got Some Updates

I've decided to extend the deadline for the Giant Fridge event (the one where people can submit art to Honey Scales and the GIant Nursery) indefinitely, and to allow any ABDL themed artwork, not just ABDL artwork featuring macro/micro characters. I will also be accepting existing artwork as long as it follows all the other rules.
2. I'll start accepting commissions again in January. I won't be doing a lot of them, and I'll be doing things a bit different.
3. I've got back and forth on this a few times over the last few years, but I've decided that, starting January, I will go back to posting Patreon art publicly after a one month delay.
4. I'm still working out the details on this one, but I'm going to allow patrons to start asking for bigger pictures. Patrons will be able to save up months and request up to $100 worth of art. This option will only be available to people who have been patrons for at least one year, and only to $20 and $40 tier patrons (all of those slots are taken at the moment).

The largest of these demons and monsters all gather in an enormous nursery. In that enormous nursery is an enormous fridge, proudly featuring the art of many giant ABDL's. You can have a spot on that fridge, too. No skill required! Anyone is welcome to participate. This is not a competition, and there are no winners. Only doodles.
1. Submit a link to a drawing of a giant ABDL that you personally made. Submit the link in the comments here, or by note. Do not link me to any place I'll need to log in to view.
2. Keep submissions relevant to the topic of giant ABDL's.
-as of December 22, all ABDL themed artwork is accepted, with or without macro/micro content. previously existing artwork is also accepted
3. Submissions will be closed on January 1, 2021, or after I receive 20 submissions, whichever comes first.

Patreon and AR
Posted 5 years agoEffective this month, I'll be going back to my old system of posting Patreon artwork exclusively on my Patreon, then posting it publicly elsewhere a month later.

In other news: going forward, I'll resume posting age regression art and art featuring kids/babies growing and shrinking. BUT. I'll be sticking to a few rules to help ensure there are no spurious reports or pointless take-downs:
1. I will not post any art featuring a diapered adult if a kid is visible. (I may deem other content too risky to include kids)
2. I will not post any art featuring a child in a diaper with visible yellow/brown stains.
3. I will not post any art featuring a child older than about 4 or 5 wearing babyish clothes.
4. I will not post any art featuring kid celebrities or kid fictional characters from animation/games/etc. (OC's and ad hoc characters are still acceptable.)
5. I will not post art that in any way implies a kid is about to drop someone into their diaper.
6. All art featuring AR or kids growing/shrinking will go in my scraps, and will not be labeled with AR or other tags. You'll have to find it and figure out what's going on for yourself.
If anything, I'm probably not taking enough steps to protect myself against DA's increasingly draconian administration and the fascist trolls it enables. This is mostly to address what I can only describe as a catastrophic drop in viewer retention over the last two years. This is still a risky move, but there's no point in playing it safe if I don't have customers. I'll apply these same rules to any other public galleries I post in.
These rules mostly apply to art posted publicly. As for private commissions and Patreon rewards, I'm still willing to draw most of that stuff, within reason. I still won't draw anything illegal.

New Rules
Posted 5 years agoI've been thinking a lot about how to approach drawings of kids and babies. I need to come up with a compromise that doesn't risk spurious reports and permanent bans from the platforms I rely on the most, but also allows me to keep all of my current customers and post any art I draw for them. I've come up with the following rules regarding drawing kids and babies:
1- No age regression. Any child I draw in the future is the age they appear to be.
2- No suggestive situations. No ageplay, growing, shrinking, or any theme I normally draw that could potentially be considered fetish content. This goes for anyone in images involving children, including adults.
3- I will only publicly post images of children wearing at least a shirt and a pair of pants (skirts, onesies, or anything that covers the chest and underwear/diaper). Edits featuring diapers without pants will be available on request, I just won't post them publicly.
This applies to both commissions and Patreon rewards. This might seem confusing at first, so just run future ideas by me as usual and I'll let you know if they're acceptable. This isn't retroactive (except for rule 3), so it won't effect any existing commissions or patron rewards.

AR art (part 2)
Posted 6 years agoSome of you might already be aware, but I was suspended recently (the drawing in question featured Cargo and Aiden). I've decided to go back to not posting AR artwork or any diaper or macro/micro art featuring minors anywhere. I'll be deleting all of my age regression artwork. I'll be deleting the more recent AR uploads first, since it was one of them that got me suspended. Next month, I'll start deleting any older AR pics.
All other artwork will remain posted. I will continue taking age regression commissions, I just won't be posting them anywhere myself.

Posted 6 years agoI've decided to start publicly uploading my AR stuff again. BUT. I won't be uploading any of it on DeviantArt anymore. I'll only be uploading it on Furaffinity and whichever Discord servers will allow it. If I join any new websites, I'll decide on a case-by-case basis whether or not it's safe to upload AR there. Also, I won't be uploading it all at once, just in batches.
Losing Patrons

Patrons come and go, but when several big pledges like this go unfilled for a long time, my income becomes more precarious. Posted 6 years agoI'm going to add a $75 limit for commission slots now. There will need to be at least two slots open for you to commission me for more than that. This will hopefully give people a good idea of how long the wait will be on future commissions.
Also, since there's been some confusion over this in the past, I have a note at the top of my commission waiting list (which can be found in my profile) showing the last time it was updated. I haven't been as diligent about keeping commission info here on Fur Affinity up to date, so I'll try to do better.

Patreon Update
Posted 8 years agoI've recently restructured my patron awards. The $20 and $40 tiers now get a single character sketch each month. You can also choose to wait a month and get a two character sketch or a single character sketch with a simple background. This is closer to how I had it last year. It might not seem like a lot, but I don't want people treating my Patreon page like a commission service (that's what regular commissions are there for). Also, I'll be slotting patron awards in with regular commissions now, so you won't see awards right away, but I feel this system is more fair to my regular commissioners and less stressful for me. You can add your patron reward characters to commissions you make, if you like.
Once I have some new patron rewards drawn, I might go back to my old system of letting patrons see them early, and then posting them on DA and elsewhere a month or two later.
Though at the time of posting this, people who make new pledges won't get rewards until September, so... I probably should have posted this either two weeks ago or waited two weeks to post it. Oh well.
I can't thank my patrons and customers enough for all the help they've given me, but I'm still struggling to keep up with bills and living expenses. Art is my full time job, and commissions and pledges are the only way I have to earn money. Even one dollar pledges are greatly appreciated. If you've been thinking about pledging but have been unsure, please tell me your thoughts. If you think supporting me on Patreon is a huge waste of money, please tell me your thoughts.

Finishing Macro Party took a lot out of me. I'll be taking a break and then resuming work on commissions and comic pages later this month. I'm hoping to eventually get all commissions from 2016 finished this year. I might have to stagger old commissions and new commissions, because people tend not to want to commission me if they can't get their commission in the same week, which means I go for long stretches of time without commission money that I need to pay bills. They will all get finished, though. I didn't even think I'd manage to finish Macro Party so soon. My wrist is still recovering, and I'm doing my best to keep up with art while not overdoing it. I've still got big plans for 2017.
I've also lost a number of Patreon supporters over the last six months, so I need your help now more then ever. Please consider pledging a small monthly donation. Art is my job now, and I depend on support from my fans.

An Exciting Announcement!

As you all may remember, I've decided to switch my focus at the moment to comics, of course still with an ABDL theme. I've just finished setting everything up and I'm very excited about the new direction I'll be heading in, so I wanted to share this with you.
First of all, I've created a Discord server: https://discord.gg/ruy9yPK for any of you who want to come and chat with me. There's a special room for patrons, so make sure to link your account if you are one!
I'll be working on two comics, one of which you've already seen part of. The first is called Inner Child [http://normaldeviant.deviantart.com.....gue-659804941]. Inner Child follows the adventures of a dream-hopping genie named Zzz (pronounced Zees) who finds herself in a rather odd situation after leaping to a new dream. Her embarrassment quickly turns to concern, though.
A second comic called Honey's Lair is in early stages of production. In it, a princess is kidnapped by a dragon, but the dragon has some intriguingly odd tendencies. Despite the princess's interest, knights come to rescue her from the evil dragon, leading to drama and ridiculousness.
I've recently posted a sketch of Inner Child page 5 on my Patreon [http://www.deviantart.com/users/out.....normaldeviant]. Anyone pledging $10 or more can see it. If you pledge $20, you can view both the complete script for Inner Child as well as the early script for Honey's Lair. There are other rewards as well, including getting to view finished pages a whole week early for only $5/month.
About my wrist: on Monday, I went to my physical therapist. He told me my recovery was going as expected, and that I should be back to 100% in around 8 weeks. I was very happy to hear that. I'm going to continue working at a slower pace and doing my stretches, hot/cold therapy, etc. until then.
All of this downtime has given me a chance to read some of the art books I own but never finished. While reading through Burne Hogarth's Dynamic Figure Drawing, I realized I was still taking a lot of amateurish shortcuts and not living up to my potential. Until now, I've been acting on the self-fulfilling prophecy that I simply wouldn't have time to put so much detail into my art. I'm going to start taking my time and making sure I do things right. I'm hoping to make art this year that is far better then anything I've ever drawn in the past.
I've decided to put commissions completely on hold until I can devote more time to them. Thank you for your patience. I do plan to finish all of them this year, and for them to look the best that they can.

I forgot to mention this here. My wrist has been hurting for weeks and it's kept my from drawing anything. That's why commissions have ground to a halt. Everything I've been posting the last few days is old Patreon stuff.
