Well this sucks.
Posted 9 years agoWell I knew it was coming but I didn't expect to have it happen this quickly. For the last five years the house I have lived in for the past 14 years as been on again off again trying to be sold. As of tonight I have until May1st to move out and be clear shot of this place. Which means putting my entire life into boxes and moving three hours north to shoehorn myself into tiny bedroom on my parents farm and throw away my job of 9 years. [I hate my job but I'm lucky to have one that long and I have bills to pay] Just to live as a hermit cut off from everyone and my friends because the farm my folks own is so far out of the way the only way I'm going to be able to contact anyone is through some pretty terrible internet connection. I'm not a happy person at the moment.
The weather fits the mood.
Posted 11 years agoThis morning I received a phone call from my mother. It was to inform me that my Oma had passed away in the early morning. She had been in the hospital for almost a week after blood clot entered the back of her brain and caused a sever stroke which caused her to be a unresponsive yet aware state as her body fought to continue to live. She could hear us but she couldn't do anything to acknowledge us. I had said my good byes to her on Tuesday when we thought she was going to pass away which would have been better than this long drawn out mess. Yesterday my mother went to see her one last time and I was able to say one last goodbye over the phone as I am up at my parents big farm looking after it over the weekend. In some ways it's good I didn't see her in this final stage as she was hooked up to various suction tubes to prevent her from drowning in her own fluids, but it still somewhat stings that didn't get to see her yesterday.
Nov 11th
Posted 12 years agoToday is rememberance day. To most of you it's just another stat holiday you have off or have to work. To others it holds a special meanning. A day to remember a;; the fallen service personall who have give their lives in the service to their nation. To me today has grown to be a day of conflitied emotions. I am a Canadian born and bred, and I would willingly give my life to protect all that this nation has given me. I have the greatest respect of the service men and women out there right now putting all on the line so that I can sit here in home and type this out without having to worry that someone's going bust down the door drag me off into the night to do who knows what horrible things to other humans. However I am also of German decent. My Oma, and Opa came to Canada post 45. So I still have a strong connection to that part of my family tree. Now that I am much older than a grade school child I've come to learn that many of my relitives were in the German armed forces at the time of conflit. Which leaves me to question what do I do on this day. Do I pay respect to the vetrens of my home nation who may have pulled the trigger ending one of my relitives lives or do I honor my fallen relitives and be called a neo-nazi?
Figured I'd give this a shot.

personallity test results
Posted 13 years agoTook a test online and this is what I got.
Your Keirsey Temperament Sorter Results indicates that your personality type is that of the
Guardians (SJ's) are the cornerstone of society, for they are the temperament given to serving and preserving our most important social institutions. Guardians have natural talent in managing goods and services--from supervision to maintenance and supply -- and they use all their skills to keep things running smoothly in their families, communities, schools, churches, hospitals, and businesses.
Guardians can have a lot of fun with their friends, but they are quite serious about their duties and responsibilities. Guardians take pride in being dependable and trustworthy; if there's a job to be done, they can be counted on to put their shoulder to the wheel. Guardians also believe in law and order, and sometimes worry that respect for authority, even a fundamental sense of right and wrong, is being lost. Perhaps this is why Guardians honor customs and traditions so strongly -- they are familiar patterns that help bring stability to our modern, fast-paced world.
Practical and down-to-earth, Guardians believe in following the rules and cooperating with others. They are not very comfortable winging it or blazing new trails; working steadily within the system is the Guardian way, for in the long run loyalty, discipline, and teamwork get the job done right. Guardians are meticulous about schedules and have a sharp eye for proper procedures. They are cautious about change, even though they know that change can be healthy for an institution. Better to go slowly, they say, and look before you leap.
Guardians make up as much as 40 to 45 percent of the population, and a good thing, because they usually end up doing all the indispensable but thankless jobs everyone else takes for granted.
As a Provider (ESFJ), you can be very cooperative and enjoy serving the needs of people, especially those close to you. You approach tasks in an organized and thoughtful matter and are excellent with follow through and detail work. You enjoy working on projects that improve situations for people and enjoy working on committees and organizing celebrations. You are the keepers of tradition like special holidays, and go to great lengths to make sure people are cared and provided for.

Numb.
Posted 15 years agoTonight I lost my step father. I found out he was haveing a massive cartiack arrest when I was coming home from work tonight when I saw the family car on the side of the road with an ambulance parked in front of it. A family friend had driven him from my house and met the ambulance on the highway. He died in hospital from a massive hart attack. So right now I'm feeling numb.

Posted 16 years agoWell my plans for FC just got shot to Fucking hell. Today on my way to meet up with
sunspot in Spokane and then head to FC. Well that got shot all to hell just 10km south of Beaverdale when I lost control of my truck went in the ditch and rolled over landing on it's wheels facing north bound. So now I'm stuck at home with a busted up truck and no way to make to the con. I now have to wait around for the insurance people to call me at some random time in the morning to figure out what to do with the truck. I'd like to know who the hell put this kind of jinx on me to have this bad of a fuck up land in my lap.
I'm looking to getting a PayPal account and see if anyone feels a tad bit generous and donate a few dollars to help me out with my truck.

Another weekend past, another year older.
Posted 16 years agoThis last weekend I turned 26. My birthday was on Saturday the 5th. It started out like any other day out here on the farm. With my step dad giving me shot for some stupid thing. While I was going about my routine for getting ready for work I came across my first gift of the day. My mother had gotten my a bunch of paint brushes, both water color, and acrylic paints plus a new sketch book. Some of the brushes I'll be able to use for weathering some of my models. I went to work and menchoned to a few coworkers that it was my birthday and the wished my a happy birthday. A little later on the store manager herd it was my birthday and shortly after that I think he went on the store PA system and made an anouncement about it. I happed to be outside at the time and couldn't hear it clearly but when I went back inside a number of people who I hadn't spoken to came up to wish me a happy birthday. After that I tried to hang out with a buddy after work but that fell through when he had to go take care of somthing, so I headed home and got ready for a night on the town with my best friend
qmick his friend Nemos, and Qmicks girlfriend. For dinner we went to montana's where Qmick tried to get me drunk which didn't happen. His plan to get back at me for what happend to him on his birthday which was the monday before mine also fell through as there was not enough staff members in the restraunt to sing happy birthday. While at Nemos's house Qmick gave my a camera tripod, a usb power supply, and a mini leatherman tool. The tool should come in handy when I go to the auto wreakers. Nemos gave me a nice cold weather vest I can wear under my jakects. He even guessed the right size for me. Qmick surprised me with an oreo birthday cake. The night was spent at Qmicks place where I tried to continue the glow I was getting from the booze but found I could drink anymore. We watched the latest Bond flick and then turned in for the night. Sunday morning me and Qmick went out for breakfast at an interesting little place called Hello Toast. They have some wonderfull food there but I couldn't really eat a whole lot of it cause my stomach was acting rather scewing. That would continue for most of the day while Qmick and I headed down to Kelowna to look at some cars for sale and to head over to the local wreaking yard. After that it was back up to Vernon for dinner at Peppers Roadhouse. We picked up my cake and headed over to Nemos's house to pick up my truck and tie into the cake. When Qmick and I had finished our slices I headed for home. It seems my birthdays are turning into a two day event as I get older. I'm not complaining as I'm having some of the best days since I was a little kid.

Fur artist creates with licence to have fun.
Posted 16 years agoThat’s right ladies and gents. I Northern Wolf have recently been acknowledged in the local media for being a furry artist. I was interviewed by a reporter at the beginning of April in regards to my furry art. Turns out this reporter was taking art lessons the same time was and had watched me work on one of my two posted paintings. The reporter had also herd me talk about my trips to cons and the fun I had while attending. The interview made front page of the arts section of the Vernon Morning Star. For those who do not have access to the actual paper can find the article here. http://www.bclocalnews.com/okanagan...../43593077.html I must say that this is probably one of the better pieces of press I’ve seen about the furry fandom, and would like to think this would help to build a much better image of the fandom in the eyes of the public.
I think tonight I shall go into town and celebrate with my friends. Who knows maybe this article will help drum up interest in the fandom, and also to help find other local furs in the area.

So I try and up load these mp4's think it'll work. You think it would right?.... WRONG.. SO now I'm left trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to upload my music since I don't know how to make mp3's anymore. Any help will go a long way.

Yeah 300 views.
Posted 18 years agoYeah thats right I finally hit 300 pages views. I hit the mark at 11:00pm on the first of November 2007. It took a whole lot of sitting on my user page hitting the refresh button making sure I wouldn't miss hitting at the right time. It took me three days of watching it creep up. Why the big stink from me? It's because I'm such a rookie at being any kind of an artist. So any little bit of a success is of some imprtance to me. This time it means that 300 times people have come to view what I have accomplished.
