Some Regrets
General | Posted a year agoEver had those moments were you once believed in something that you thought made sense to you? I sure did. When I was younger, I used to hold those foolish views were I downplayed the actions of bigots and demagogues because I thought they were "not as bad". Nowadays, I sometimes feel stupid for having held them in the first place. I suppose that is what change is for. It takes a lot to swallow one's own pride and say "I was wrong" and build on what is right. It's a humbling thing, really!
I hope to everyone else struggling with that ignorance to find it in themselves that it's okay to be wrong and learn from it.

On the 2020 Election
General | Posted 5 years agoNot often that I open much about politics, but here we go! For my foreign dudes, prepare to be confused!
I guess it goes without saying that whoever won the election, I wish them well and hope they do a good job at Oval Office. With that said, there is something I like to address. One thing that always bothered about politics, isn't so much the candidates or the people that run the country, but rather the disturbing impassioned reactions of whoever side. Disagreeing is one thing, but when you demonize the other and create more enemies like that, it tarnishes what your movement represents. Not only that, creating these rifts among family and friends over what some may call "minute" views could seriously hurt your mental state. I get that we all have a drive to do what's right and to follow our convictions, but this sort of reaction doesn't get anyone anywhere. You can be friends with a Democrat or Republican, without resulting into the mire of tribalism. In other words, just talk it out!
