Hmm, haven't done one of these in a while.

Good news! My second novella came out.

Bad news- don't buy it. I am currently unable to contact my publisher by any of the means I have tried (two contacts plus the information publicly available on their site). I am not receiving royalties and at this point it doesn't appear that I will receive them ever. Needless to say, I'm incredibly frustrated.

On bright notes, I attended the first Arizona Fur Con and had a blast! I helped triss triss run four table top game panels as part of insightgames insightgames. It was a ton of fun. It looks like next year we're going to try and hit a few more conventions to run table top games and we maaaay have something super duper special up our sleeve for the end of next year. I guess we'll just have to see!

On November 9th, I'm running a furry writer's meet up in Tempe, AZ (if y you're not on the forum or meetup.com and want to attend, I'll send you the info!).

So, that's life currently. Classes, work, hobbies. November is soon and I really hope I manage to find some time for personal writing. I don't know if any of it will be furry but maybe I'll find something to post.... eventually. I might have a bit more non-furry work I could post.

So I never really understood Twitter. I've finally gotten an account and it's like a frickin' revelation. I suddenly understand why it's a phenomenon. I can understand why it controls some peoples' lives. The glut of information and connectivity is insane. Also, I get instructions from Nathan Fillion on how he cooks ribs and I get updates on the daily lives of some of my idols like Laurell K. Hamilton and Neil Gaiman.

Yeah, I'm hooked.

Twisted Paths

Well, I didn't manage to keep up with the writing challenge I set for myself and this account has been terribly neglected. I do have a good excuse though! I'm officially a professional freelance writer and I've got a publishing contract. A lot has happened in the last six months.

Still in Spain, teaching English and writing my butt off. Unfortunately it's left little time for me to write things to post here! I've got one new story up, Closure. It's human rather than furry, but I suppose it's a good change of pace.

Keep an eye out in February, I'll be posting an excerpt from my debut novella once the publisher has approved it.

So, things have been pretty dead on this account, because I really haven't had time to write. I'm am now located in Granada, Spain rather than Arizona, and just finished an intensive course for my certification to teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). It was crazy twelve hour days of work. I got started on a new project that most likely won't get posted here- it's going to be novel length and not furry.

Now that it's August I have quite a bit more free time besides looking for jobs. I am setting a challenge for myself to write and edit a complete short story every two weeks to post on here from now until November. I should be making pretty consistent updates from now on, at least every two weeks!

I just submitted my first short story for this challenge, titled Depth. In it we are introduced to two new characters I may use again in the future, Derek the snow leopard and Emily the otter.
