Long story short, a friend bounced a MAGA freak (by his account, a neo-Nazi) from the Waffle House where he worked. Not surprisingly, management opted to relieve him of employment rather than show a spine; to that end, he's set up a fundraiser to help him get by 'til he's back on his feet. So I recently got around to binging through the writings of the excellent RobertRooford after catching the amazing "Rain in February," and very much wanted to get in on what he's got going. The fox was a real pleasure to work with and just a bunch of fun to talk to, and the result, I think, turned out beautifully as well - a very personally relatable piece, but I suspect others will enjoy it, too. I'll be the first to admit that I mostly don't pay attention to this, but thinking about it now makes me curious. A quick search doesn't seem to turn up much in the way of art studies on the topic. Somebody should do that or somethin'.

 Don't know if this is happening elsewhere in the world, but at least in the US, Studio Ghibli's weirdo fairytale swashbuckler type film The Cat Returns is having an anniversary revival screening. Highly recommended, if you have a chance to catch it - it's a lot of good wholesome fun watching someone turn into an adorable catgirl on the big screen ;D

It was such a shame that deviantArt was so far ahead of the game in shoving its head up its ass; at last FurAffinity can finally catch up!

Memo to way, way, way too many furry artists: THE TAIL IS AN EXTENSION OF THE SPINE. THE SPINE NORMALLY ENDS BETWEEN THE BUTTCHEEKS. TAILS DO NOT MYSTERIOUSLY SPROUT FROM THE SMALL OF THE BACK. GET IT RIGHT.

Well, those of you who hang out on deviantArt will have noticed that yet again, the site staff has changed the layout and managed to make it even more obnoxious and Javascript-drenched. I've been meaning to set up a presence on some other art sites, and this has served as a nice bit of motivation for me.
