Hello to everyone! Update on my life
General | Posted 3 years agoMy resent journal was about my life changing after a war in my country, Ukraine. As I stated before, me and my mother are forced to leave our city,Kharkiv, and seek for asylum in Poland. We lived there, in rented house, almost for month, but now there is a humanitarian crisis in Poland due to huge number of refugees. We are very grateful to Poland and Polish people for all their efforts and kindness, but we again faced several problems - we can't rent a place ourself 'cause we don't have a job AND we don't have a job because there is lots of workplaces for men, not for women. As you understand, Ukrainian men are forbidden to leave Ukraine, except for the fathers of large families and the disabled persons.
So my mom and I decided to move further. Volunteers agreed to receive us in Denmark. Now we live with a nice man who provided us with housing for free. We will be applying for official permission to stay in this country, but it will take some time. Living in Denmark is very expensive compared to Ukraine and Poland. I'm also open for commissions although I have big problems with the workplace (I do not have a table in the room), but I really want to work so I can buy some food for us. Just send me a note and ask anything you are interested in.

Also, if you are Danish or live in Denmark for a long time, I will be glad for any information that can help me in my daily life!

Asking for help from Ukraine
General | Posted 4 years agoHello. I know that I have been inactive here for the last year due to lack of free time and work, but now the trouble has come to my house. And not just trouble, but war.
I lived in Ukraine, in the city of Kharkiv, which now suffers from bombing and shelling EVERY DAY and EVERY NIGHT.
From the very beginning of the events, from February 24, I was hiding in the subway, where I lived along with 1100 people. On March 4, my mother and I were forced to leave Ukraine and seek asylum in Poland.
Now we are fine, although our hearts are full of anxiety - my grandparents stayed in Kharkiv (they refused to leave, and they could not leave, because we walked 3.5 hours along the subway rails to get to the station).
We are also in complete obscurity - there is not much money, housing is rented to us for money (we are seven adults and two children in the house). We received some food and things from humanitarian aid for refugees (we are very grateful), but this is not enough for life. We buy a lot of things with our own money: food, medicines (my mother and I became very ill while living on the floor in the subway and crossing the border for 12 hours).
Based on my physical health (also mental, I don't even know how to get my prescriptions here), I'm asking you for help.
