The annual "I'm leaving and never ever coming back for at least a month!" charade is upon us, apparently.

Normally I wouldn't bat an eye, but since I'm smack dab in the middle of my Buying Time hiatus which means I don't post much on FA, I wanted to assure everyone I'm staying.

It's been awhile since I've posted any updates. I just wanted to post a journal and inform anyone who cares of what I've been up to lately.

My last 2 posts were 2 digital paintings, done to take a break from Flash related frustrations, after Flash ate a significant portion of my latest animated short. I really just lost all motivation to re-do all the work lost on the short, and officially sent it off to the graveyard.

After that, we moved. Getting into the new house, and taking care of the old one's sale really put all art-related doings on the backburner.

For the past month or so I've been working on getting a webcomic done. I've always wanted to do one but could never quite find the motivation, I was always in 'animated short' mode, and figured I could be drawing frames for a moving picture instead of panels for a comic. But I think it's time for something new, and something in depth. I've written a script and done roughs for 20 some odd pages so far. I'm in the process of preparing to ink the pages by hand, something I also havn't done for awhile, so bear with me as I take time to switch back to traditional medium after being primarily a digital-only artist for several years.

It also seems I'm going to have to learn how to set up and use wordpress/comicpress, which appear to be the most commonly used for webcomics. I'm a complete idiot when it comes to that sort of stuff, so that might take some time as well.

Anyways, I'm still here, I'm still drawing. I'm just making a whole bunch of it before I share it with everyone. Thanks for sticking around, and keep an eye out for when I finally start posting this badboy online.

Animation is finished! I can't believe its taken this long...a good 10 months, for what will amount to like, about 2 mins of animation. Animators must be crazy.

I'm thankful to have snagged the talented lioncourt (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/lioncourt) for the voice of Stone, and I'm currently in the process of finding a VA for Love, and Schlotzsky, but I think I have the right ppl in mind.
Then, comes post, where I add all the special effects and export everything.

Shouldnt be too long now folks, I'm looking forward to having it finally finished...

Hey everyone, just an update since posting the first episode of Stone and Love Sunday night. My 'website stats' tell me the episode has been downloaded almost 300 times! (it was at 297 a few hours ago) Which roughly makes for 150 views a day, which makes me very happy, I'm glad people seem to be enjoying it and that its momentum has been steady, hope it keeps up!

Also a few of you have mentioned download troubles, I'm not sure if this is because of traffic to the site, or the file being too large, in any case, I've uploaded a LOW quality .mov at half the size of the original, that should do the trick, I hope. I worked pretty hard to make the visuals high quality, so I was kind of reluctant to do a crap quality version but I also dont want to have people not able to watch it AT ALL. I tried to export an .avi version as well, but for some reason it came out to a larger file size than the REGULAR version and the quality was nearly unwatchable, so forget that. Hope it helps! About 2 months work for a minute and a half of animation, thus is the bane of every animator. But I really glad and proud I finished this, I've gone through too many projects lately that just never saw an end. Even though this project still has 2 more episode to go, its still something.

First off I want to thank  Lioncourt for lending his talent and giving Stone a voice. I had at one point considered just doing all the spoken lines as comic style text boxes, and I'm so glad I didnt go through with that.
Secondly my bf  CaptainGerBear, for dealing with all of my AfterEffects questions, which were probably equivalent to a tech support guy getting the 'my computer doesn't work' - 'is it plugged in?' - 'no....' type questions.

I'm not going to explain anything about the plot, the 3 episodes will unveil things as they go.

It's been awhile, last time I really did anything on FA was before I moved, and that was almost 2 years ago. Though I've always been checking in and looking at peoples art, I havnt posted any myself. Between being a fulltime animator, getting a house, and a wonderful BF, needless to say I dont make as much personal art as I used to. I still do, but feel most of it isnt really 'Furaffinity post' worthy, 90% of it is designs and sketches for personal projects like animated shorts, comics, unfinished stuff, what have you, stuff I dont really feel would need to be posted. Anyway, I am working on something I will share when its done, and I'll try to post whatever random shiz I do inbetween, just wanted to pop in and say I'll still been checking out all your guys artwork even though I havnt been active in posts, journals etc. You'll be seeing stuff from me soon, ciao

On Monday I'll literally be moving across Canada to start a new fulltime job in New Brunswick. Just wanted to let ya'll know I probably wont be producing much art during this period of time, I'm going to be buying a house and moving in, then getting used to the swing of things, its going to be crazy, so dont expect to see much from me for a little while. I'll still try to comment on any of your artwork that I think is swell but otherwise I'll probably be a ghost.

I'm getting rather nervous about the move and leaving all friends and family behind, but thankfully I've been in touch with someone I'm sure to be great friends with who has offered their hospitality to me, I'm so grateful, it''s going to make things so much easier.
