That's right - I actually drew something. As soon as I scan it in, which will hopefully be tonight when I get home from work, I will take forever inking it in SAI (since my tablet is dead dead so it won't be pretty...) and I will upload an un-colored version of my reference sheet for Nove! How exciting!

On a side note, anyone know where I can get a good tablet (with pressure sensitivity) that will work with mac for cheap?

I have tried many a time to make a life-cast of my face. Why don't I just buy one? Because I'm a poor college student that can't even afford rent. So, I've been enlisting people to help me make a mold of my own face... I have stuck my face is some really super gross shit... Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any tips or just a really good tutorial in general? I make fur suits, and would like to try something new instead of the traditional foam toaster (it gets too hot in that thing!) and in order to do it I need a life-cast... It would also be cool to have so that I can make prosthetics. I want to make casts of hands and feet, too, because, well, same reasons as above. Only, the head is the hardest... Why did I get into making fur suits? Oh yeah. I'm crazy.

On a side note, if anyone knows where I can take a class (cheaply) for like movie make-up effects and whatnot in Colorado, let me know! I've been looking for years...

Hey all. I am trying to draw more now that I have time, and I am very motivated now that the semester is almost over. However, I get discouraged very easily. I honestly don't think I am a very good artist - I am NOT looking for people to say that's not true. What I want/need is critiquing/CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Especially with anatomy and faces. Small things to help me improve bit by bit would be fantastic. I know that things can't improve overnight [as much as I would love it if they did!] but that I will have to work and practice in order to get better. However, I don't know where to start. Tips would be much appreciated, and I will be willing to draw for anyone that wants me to draw for them. Please, and thanks.

So, I have been lurking here for a while, and haven't been motivated to post any of my art... now that I have time to, I can't. Why? Because my computer ate my hard drive and I lost everything [except for the 1 picture that I am working on as a gift for my girlfriend]. That being said, I have no art. None. Zip. So, what am I going to do? I am going to take requests from anyone that wants them. I have no samples of my art, I am doing this to improve and to prevent myself from going crazy as I deal with my fucked up life. For anything that I post, CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is very welcome. Tips, tricks, etc. are welcome, too. Anything that can help me improve. So, taking requests. Expect very basic - I am not that good [or at least I don't think I am...]

Maybe I will start by making myself an icon... heh.
