Still here!!
Posted a year agoWow have I neglected this site for a while!!
My apologies everyone. Life has been going at warp-speed since I last posted. New home, new ride, new (additional) job, new projects and to save you all time: a new life.
A few things remain constant that keep my joy for life going: my wonderful fiancé and our cat Tippy. These two are always by my side and with their love, i have never been happier in my entire life 💛💛💛
But I MUST POST! Get ready for an influx of crafts I haven’t posted yet :D

In search of an artist
Posted 3 years agoI plan on giving Etsy (and now GoImagine) a make-over with a new shop banner.
You know, the fancy picture on top of the shops often have to welcome you in? I've been using an old photo I took at the first NYC pride I've ever went to on mine and that was a LONG time ago now. Plus it doesn't really capture what my shop and heart has to offer to customers and visitors.
My idea is to have some of the most popular items displayed (fursuit paws/tails and pride rings/keychains) and my shop's icon-cat either sewing or knitting something, and the shop name somewhere on it.
But with practically no digital art skills, this task is a little beyond my abilities...
If you are or know someone who can hep me out with is please let me know :D

Sleepy, but happy
Posted 3 years agoIt's been on my mind for a few days but I haven't posted.
BUT. I've never been more thankful and more content than I ever have been.
Over the last few months I have been given more love and support than I could have ever dreamed of. Just thinking 6 months ago, I was in physical pain with my RLS, running on 5 hours of sleep at best, constantly looking for a job in my field...
Here comes October with a breath of cool air. I'm overjoyed with the life my fiancé and I have made together. I now have my (part time) dream job at an out of town library, Etsy has been better than ever (will re-open soon), my crippling social anxiety is no longer holding me back (I met so many wonderful new people!), I'm so close to completing Py's fullsuit and to top it all off guess who will be getting their legal name change soon!
I can't really count any days where I am unhappy. Every day has been a true blessing in it's own way and every night has a special sparkle that I hold onto. Thank you Py for being my dream come true. You are my bright moon in the night sky, my shoulder to cry on, and my reason to come home safely every night. You mean the absolute world to me and I can't wait to wake up with the one I love every brand new morning.
With the autumn finally upon us, lets celebrate in the blessings of this years harvest and accomplishments together and keep cozy an the nights grow longer <3

Birthday Boi
Posted 4 years agoI'm an old boi XD
But I just have to say, today was one of the most amazing days I've had this year and I will be treasuring the memories for years and years to come :)
is an angel and treated me to breakfast at a cafe he used to go to. I absolutely loved it, great food, great tea and the decor reminded me of all the good music and vibes I hold close to my heart (There was a standee of Bob Ross and a Jimi Hendrix poster where we sat). I just with I purchased a mug from them! They were really groovy looking. Haha. Can't wait to visit there again!
We then saw Dune, which I really really enjoyed. Which, I'm now told was based on an older movie based on a book... Guess who's gonna pickup a "new" library book soon! :D
Lunch was hibachi (Which I'm a sucker for) Noting makes me happier than a mound of freshly grilled veggies and hot tea <3 Of course I couldn't finish my rice, so that came home with me for later snacking needs :D On our way home we picked up Poke bowls (made with fresh Pokemon lol) and those were incredible! Any time theres sushi-like fish on the menu, I get super excited. Went with Tuna/Salmon and a crunchy topping. 10/10 recommended :)
After such a big day I thought we were done for the day, but my fiance really knows how to make me light up like the sun with happiness. I love playing Minecraft, but never had a good copy of my own (I have the Pocket Edition if that counts).
In a little package with a hand drawn Happy "bee" Day was my own copy for the Switch. I wanted to cry happy tears because I can finally work on a little island I was building (I pretend we live there).
He also got for us our favorite sake and some nice spiced rum for the autumn season. Never had that brand of rum before, but I think its my new favorite!
I've never felt so blessed on a birthday. Py makes every day wonderful and meaningful, but today was one of those above and beyond ones that make me so lucky and appreciative I have him in my life. Thank you so much for celebrating another year of life with me and I can't wait to spend many more with you. Love you so much!

Fitbit Furries?
Posted 4 years agoTrying to get back in shape little by little and I suddenly remembered!
My Fitbit app has a way to add “friends” as a little bit of friendly competition. I’ve only got 1 friend on there who I can never beat on the weekly step count 😂
But I was wondering if anyone else out there is also on that app who wants to add me. It would be nice to have a little competition to keep me moving :D
My user name is Vergil-the-Wyvern
PS: went on the coolest hike over the weekend with my boyfriend and best friend. We visited Kent Falls CT. Apparently I climbed the equivalent of 32 floors and my “active/workout” time was a hour and 2 mins. Super tired afterwards, but it felt so amazing and the beauty of the park was something that my soul craved for a long time :)

Waiting for FA name changing
Posted 4 years agoI know they’re working hard on so much other stuff, but I really want the ability to change account names SOON. Haha
I kinda want to put my Nowaki character in safe storage while I move on to happier brighter things in life 💛

Incoming art avalanche!
Posted 5 years agoDepending on my computer’s ability this might be a big one, or a sad little snow pile all day long.
Can’t believe how long it’s been since I last posted!! So much art, so many commissions and a ton of life events happened. I was printing all the gift art and hanging it on my room walls. Love seeing it every day.
First off: over the past 2 years it finally feels like I’m living life and actually loving most of it. (sorry for keeping most of it brief, I might yap forever if I don't)
Got to experience Niagra falls and the Buffalo area back in August. Even though the border was closed, it was so cool. Imagine having the whole town to just you and your special person <3 Seeing them in person was so awesome. I’ve seen pictures when my parents went there back in the 80s, but seeing how high things were in first person was wild. On our last day there we went to the falls area early. Can’t imagine having a better zen-moment. Standing in the early warm sunlight with the one I love watching a bright rainbow slowly come to life in the fall's mist.
Our hunt for cheese curds took us to practically every farm stand we could find. We came to the conclusion that they were probably all in Canada. Despite that, I found what was probably the tastiest pumpkin ever! Py got me a small/midsize white pumpkin and when I roasted it with a tiny bit of avocado oil, I almost said lets go back to get the rest XD Got the seeds saved for a future garden.
Upstate was a dream come true. Really hoping to see it again sometime soon after the US/Canada border opens up.
***********************************************************************
Finally got around to “better” paw commissions! I’m using neoprene for claws as well as minky for pads, and a moisture-wicking 4-way stretch for lining. I think after many iterations, this is how I’m going to make them! Be sure to stay tuned to see them 😊
***********************************************************************
My 3D printer finally lived up to it’s Anet A8 name and burned up. ALMOST caught fire, but I stopped it just in time. *chucks it into the retirement corner* That’s the main reason I don’t sell eye-blanks on Etsy any more....
BUT in about 2 weeks, I will finally have a Prusa I3 Mk8. Basically, the printer mine was modeled after but with a ton of features to make printing easier. It has the ability to resume prints after power failures, detect when filament runs out, and not catch on fire... Can’t wait to offer 3D stuff again.

Positivity and Printing
Posted 5 years agoBy now I think we're very well versed on the mental health aspect of how COVID-19 is affecting us all. Being out of work and having to cancel all of the things I have been so avidly looking forward to has had a multitude of negatives one piling on after another. But sometimes in the darkest nights we find all the little glimmers of what makes life worth living.
After an online meeting with my department we are learning new ways to interact with the public we have never done before from video chats to hosting online video-game events. I too have taken up a role in 3D printing and assembling face shields for Suffolk Cooperative Library System who will get them to our local hospitals who requested them. I always told the teens I work with that 3D printing is now an important tool in a fast paced world, and I can now demonstrate that by helping this cause.
And while all of this is going down, I can't say thank you enough to my wonderful boyfriend who has been not only a moral and mental support, but the light in my life that keep me moving from one day to the next. Every now and then when I think life is too much to handle, I think of the determination, love and compassion he shows and I find the strength to keep moving forward. Thank you for every single thing you do for me as well as all the people you help every day.

Logo design needed
Posted 5 years agoLooking for a well-established artist capable of a 2 or 3 color art logo.
I’m planning on updating/modifying my Etsy shop for 2020 and I feel that means a new logo as well.
While I like the one I have, 3 colors (no blending) will allow easier grayscale printing as well as 3D printing (yes I’m planning merch already).
I’m hoping for a basic cat-head shape wearing a tie and tiara and possibly the shop name “TheQueenTom”.

Fursuit building
Posted 6 years agoTime for some fun fantastic news!
Starting this week I will be open for commissions on fursuit paws, tails sock-feet and heads. It had always been a dream of mine, and now I think is a good time to get things moving.
I know I don't have many examples, so get ready for fur spam over the next few days :D
A price list and terms service will be coming soon!

New fur trimmer on its way @.@
Posted 6 years agoI opted to buy the CHEAPEST fur trimmer on Ebay. 12.00
In the beginning it was awesome, buzzed down my paws, feet, head and a few other projects with no issues at all.
THEN right after I started getting other peoples projects in, it all goes to poop. Like BAD, it snags, tangles and bogs down. Even after opening it up, cleaning all the fuzz and sharpening/oiling the cutter end correctly, it now "cuts" but has almost power left... It will snip snip (insert motor straining noise here). Yes I tried adjusting the power/voltage settings too...
While it still has the ability to cut hair, I've decided to donate it while I anxiously await my new trimmer: an Oster A5 Turbo. I just *might* even give it a ceramic cutting piece too :D CANT WAIT!

Re-doing Nowaki's story and about his "creation"
Posted 6 years agoStay tuned.
Story update
Posted 6 years agoI keep thinking up little bits and pieces of Nowaki's story every now and then. I'm going to publish his story in small easy to get through chapters since I fucking hate reading... Yes, I can read, I was always good at it, and I work in a library...but if it's not subtitles, I'm not interested...
I really hope you like chapter 1!! Please give it a read!
I haven't wrote in years, so as time progresses it will get better.
Hopefully I'll be able to do 1 chapter a week, but we will see how the summer goes!

Nowaki's pending backstory
Posted 6 years agoNo he doesn't have a boo-hoo sad story line. The more I think of it in my head, the more it sounds like a Devil May Cry story-line XD
Nowaki’s back story:
He is one of the many spiritual entities in a religious organization. He and the other souls protect sleeping humans from nightmares caused by other entities called “Alps”. Alps are small demonic creatures from German folklore that stood on people’s chests at nights causing “night terrors”.
His original form is an anthomorphic Maltese tiger. A large gray and white tiger with black striping throughout his body and fiery yet friendly orange-yellow eyes. He has always been a good listener and a quiet observer which caught the attention of the headmaster who oversees all entities and trains them in spiritual combat (aka Thoughts and Prayers).
The headmaster of his section was very pleased with Nowaki’s abilities as a protector and eventually began to give him special assignments that involved more dangerous alps as well as other nightmare causing entities. These missions were not to be discussed with anyone other than the headmaster himself. In addition, that he was repeatedly reminded the ONLY way to protect is by praying and singing to the “Server” to send protection and send the entities away. Just as his headmaster predicted, Nowaki exceeded all predictions. It wasn’t long until he was invited to live in the convent reserved for high-ranking priests and researchers. Everything was wonderful.
However, while most alps and nightmare-causers would leave in time after prayers, there was a solitary freakishly shaped one who lingered, and watched silently from the opposite side of the room. No prayer he knew would make a thing like that leave. The entity didn’t even seem interested in attacking the sleeping host. It only seemed to observe patiently until Nowaki made one minor slip up and all hell broke loose. It was enough to trigger parental and demonic instincts Nowaki never thought he had. Instincts that would put his reputation and life on the line as well as shake the very foundation that the religious order was based upon.
Shaken from his ordeal, he returns to the convent to research exactly what he was faced, and will it return.

NFSW and my anxiety on posting it
Posted 6 years agoIt's hard to describe the feeling behind it, but its a mix of "fuck-yes-excitement" and "I didn't do this good enough, so lets not."
After some thinking, I wanted to allow my fursona Nowaki experience the adult side of life. I'm starting out slow by coloring/editing some free-to-use bases and I'll ramp it up from there after a few months passes. I'm excited to let him have this kind of freedom not just for artistic reasons, but also because he will be having the kind of fun I can really only dream of. I was born with a "physical limitation" that really hindered my ability to form relationships and be intimate with others.
I spared Nowaki this issue, and I can't wait to see him have some good adult fun:)
As excited as I am to finally let his stuff hang free, I'm still worried that people will kinda "judge" him or something, like I could/should have done better art for him.
Who knows, maybe drunk me will say screw-it all and go on a posting binge XD
