2025 Special announcement/other updates
Posted a year agoIn the Fall of 2025 i'll be making a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan!
I'll be going with my mom and we'll be taking a connecting flight from Vancouver or L.A. to Japan along with her friend that's planning this amazing trip other people who get to do these great trips too!
In other short updates I've been performing rehab therapy on a strain in my lower back and my mom is planning to have me visit a physiotherapist/chiropractor to manage it so it wont persist in my life, hopefully with enough heat and stretching sessions my spine will be back to being good as new!
That's all i have to say for this update, cya later whenever I've got something important to announce!

My Fursona profile
Posted 4 years agoHere’s a profile I made for my fursona character:
Vanessa Valentine:
She’s a Costa-Rican Scarlet Macaw, she’s 28, Meso-American born and raised, resides in Coral Beach-Cancun-Mexico, speaks English, Español, and partial Japanese, 6ft5 tall, blood type AB+, can bench 200lbs and weighs 190lbs, dress size Small-Medium & loves to wear one-piece bikinis W/vented jackets & short shorts at night, sexuality is straight/rarely bi-sexual.
loves scuba swimming, exotic travel locations, beach volleyball, motorcycle/atv/jet ski racing, spicy cooking, retro anime, playing game mods and building model kits, hates stinging insects, itchy hats, long lines, sour milk & cold weather.
Teaches maternal yoga and youth swimming/youth scuba part-time, sometimes works as a surrogate mother, practices kickboxing, Val Tudo, Goju Ryu Karate, Kendo, & Precision sport shooting with long range handguns & high caliber rifles.
If anyone want's to draw my fursona for me in their style then be my guest and go right ahead! I'd love to see how it turns out and give extra thanks to the artist that does it the best!

Black friday
Posted 4 years agoNext week today is Black Friday: the busiest shopping day in North America/around the world to date, but there's a lesson to be learnt here about materialism and desirable want over unnecessary greed and the value of feeling over material possessions.
You see...the holiday season is not about buying and getting what you want, it's really about the presence of emotional feelings when you give something over receiving something you want like happiness/joy/comfort, and an understandable feeling of passiveness and peace towards one-another regardless of genderality/religion/country/or skin color, not through high cost purchases of mass-market products in the sole name of consumerism.
The point is.and i hope i'm getting this right without offending anyone...is that this is a time meant to be shared together as family and friends (though not as closely gathered due to the continuing pandemic), doing things that fill your heart and soul with the holiday spirit. EG: making gingerbread houses, sending Christmas cards to friends abroad, having egg nog drinking games, going out caroling/making snow angles/sledding down hills, watching classic holiday movies and TV specials of your favorite shows, and altogether embracing the feelings you share that help yourself and others get though the tough times both behind and ahead in our lives.
So with all that said and done i hope most of you understand what i said about today and i just can't figure out anymore words to describe what i'm conveying...so enjoy your day, get what's necessarily needed for the people on your lists, and try not to get stampeded to death among the herds of other shoppers who's ideals are much different than yours and mine.
Happy Black Friday and Happy Holidays!

my weekend...a service & a funeral for a close relative
Posted 4 years agomy poppa recently passed on and i have to help out on the weekend, this will be the first time i'll be a paul bearer (holding the coffin into the church) i'm a bit nervous about the service and still coping with the loss of my grandpa but at least all the memories I've had with him in my life will never die.
the visitation will be on Friday and the service will take place on Saturday (it's 2 hours and 30 min with breaks, i'll mostly be greeting people paying their respects and of course playing a paul bearer).
i'll be back to my normal routine on Monday next week so please send me your condolences as any help to get me though this sad time will gratefully help, thank you!

Canadian turkey day!
Posted 4 years agoToday is the 11th of October and here in Canada that means it's time for Canadian Thanksgiving! I've got 3 relatives coming over (don't worry they've had their Vaccine jabs) including my sister+her boyfriend so adding myself and my parents that makes it a party of 8 at the dinner table.
My grandfather is still in Hospice for now but he's getting a transfer to a beautiful retirement home soon where he'll continue to get good care provided to him and of course he'll meet lots of new friends there too!
Hope your family and friends can make it for the big feast you've got planned/attending, what are you thankful for this year?(leave a comment) Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone!

Welcome to Phase 3
Posted 4 years agotomorrow the Provence of Ontario enters phase 3 of reopening, we may see a drop of some restrictions around here and i'm glad that things a properly going back to "normal" before the outbreak started last year (it took a year of suffering and a year to recover but of course when god gives us a challenge to overcome we as humanity shall come together united to face this issue and conquer it!). Have a nice long weekend!
Rain on Rain & yes...Even More Rain
Posted 4 years agoJust looked at the 14 day forecast at it looks like over here we're getting an overcast of rain showers and scattered thunderstorms. Doesn't look like the most fun weather but at least it won't stop me from doing my favorite indoor activities like working out+baking+playing games for the first time+reading my comic book collection+etc...
Anyways i'll look again if the weather improves, so until then i won't be traveling around town for a while and i'll be hanging around at my house 'till the rain dies off and the sun comes back out.
Cya 'till then!

Canada Day Weekend
Posted 4 years agohere's my weekend plan: i'm joining my mom, sister and dad for a "off-the-grid" Canada Day weekend up at our cottage near Kingston (which is a very long drive from my house!) so I took the precaution of packing my luggage in advance.
My luggage consists of 1 backpack and 3 other bags, in the backpack i have my clothes(shirts, socks, shorts & undies), swimming trunks, chargers, CD player, headphones, Minidisc player, and flashlight. Then in the plastic bag i have a selection of music CDs and DVDs and the other 2 bags hold my game consoles: Nintendo 3DS & Nintendo Switch.
I'm leaving tomorrow in the morning and won't be back until Sunday morning so i'll be out for at least 3 days-2 nights, i'll touch back when i get home.

Injection #2
Posted 4 years agotomorrow i'm getting my second dose of the Phizor vaccine against CV-19 making me fully vaccinated, not to mention Ontario moves into phase 2 on the 2nd of July so it looks like things are now coming up for the better now!
A Little Jingle+Injection #1
Posted 4 years agotomorrow i'm getting my first dose of the Phizor vaccine against CV-19, and to celebrate I've got a little jingle for ya that you might find quite familiar:
"All the old paintings on the tomb they do the sand-dance don't ya know? if they move too quick (OH-WEY-OH) they fallin' down like a domino! All the schoolkids so sick of books-they like the punk and the metal bands, when the buzzer rings (OH-WEY-OH) they're walkin' like them Egyptians, all the cops in the donut shop say: WEY-OH-WEY-OH...WEY-OH-WEY-OH...Walk like an Egyptian"
-The Bangles

A Short Zombie Poem
Posted 4 years agoI've come up with a poem to please any friend who are undead zombies, i hope you like them!
"Ode to the dead"
~the worms crawl in as they crawl out, they creep from the ground and lay on your snout, one little worm who isn't so shy crawls through your ear and out where you used to have an eye, this zombie has blood colored green with mold that looks like shaving cream, he likes to spread it on toasted bread and that's what you eat when you're undead~
leave a comment telling me what you thought about my poem and if you liked it.

My poppa is getting beter
Posted 4 years agoTomorrow my poppa is going in for his final Chemotherapy treatment for his cancer, i'm glad he's recovered well and will now be able to continue living a long, healthy, and happy life.
i'm glad he's been giving this chance to live a little longer (after all sooner or later we all leave our mortal bodies for the gates of heaven or hell) and i'm sure by September we can all go back to our normal lives before this outbreak of CV19 began.

My poppa is sick...but he’s recovering
Posted 5 years agoMy poppa is getting radiation treatment for his cancer soon after he gets his next test done and meets with the specialist at the hospital.
for now the best you can do is send me your prayers on behalf of my Poppa's health, so that he can get better and beat this cancer and i know he can do it because he has a heart of gold and a will of a true hero that never ever gives up.
here's hoping he can beat this cancer and recover to see him reach 85 let alone 90!
AMEN
