Artwork Update!
Posted 7 years agoSo yea I know it's been a looong time since I've updates my journals. I'm not typically one to brag about my victories or whine about my low points. So hopefully some people appreciate the lack of drama around here anyway.
So that being said for those of you who enjoy Nusair there is some good news. Artwork is inbound and it will be a multi page project by
She has been pretty damn fun to work with and I've love her art so far. So drop by and check her out! IF you want to get a little tidbit of what kind of fun artwork she has in the mix with Nusair the link is here! ---> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/26607844/
Everything else is progressing well on my end of life as well and I hope everyone can say the same. Look forward to a few more updates of artwork in the future as well.

Lack of Submissions
Posted 8 years agoBeen rather long since I've posted a journal so I figured I would add a little something.
Well I know I've not been getting as much art of late, and honestly I've just been so busy I've not really had time to focus on spending money. But I've got a few ideas currently and I may pick a few up when I get a chance here. I just need to find me an artist who's style fits the mood of each idea. So hopefully I can bring you guys some lovely new things for your eye holes...
Anyway here is some lovely things for your earholes turn on to me by a Mew.

Posted 9 years agoXcom 2 - Game Review.
Posted 9 years agoShort and sweet, it's a copy of what I put on steam.
This should be a lesson for all game developers on how to release new games. Plenty of polish and very few bugs.
There was quite a bit of anticpation for this game, and it doesn't let you down. I've spent over twelve hours in game already and the only bugs I've seen so far are minor graphical animations. (IE Char hits windows with butt of gun but they don't break, but you still shoot through them just fine) The game itself runs smoothly and it's a true sequal. They pretty much only improved the game and it's better than Xcom-enemy unknown in every way. This is 100% worth paying full price for. The normal difficulty can prove to be quite an overwhelming challenge at first, but once you learn the tricks of survival you should have no problem keeping your squad alive well still faced with a good challenge.
The only downside I have so far is the game doesn't do a very good job of explaining the importance of some of the loot in game. Inte, Power cores, alien bodies, ect are used for upgrades or unlocking new zones. I've only figured this out via playing, and trail an error. Understanding how to upgrade your troops to get the classes you want was trial and error too. But it is possible to game the system to make sure you get what you like in your crew. Once you spend some time in game and fail once or twice or make a few mistakes, you will prolly restart a fresh campain like I did. With the experience I got from trail an error in the first try I've been able to really guide my team's advancement without any issue.
9/10 game rating and worth a buy if you enjoy turn based tactical games.
PS if you have any other questions feel free to drop a comment below! Tips, questions, Screenshots, and even willing to stream some gameplay upon request.

Considering starting up a community TS3 server for gaming.
Posted 10 years agoCurrently I run a small server for me and some friends but I was thinking today of starting up a TS3 server for the furry community and their friends for gaming.
Basically I would host a server and throw some channels in there for different games. Requests would likely be taken for channels. But I'm thinking of offering up private channels for people who donate some money every month. I may see about setting up some forums or a page or what not as well. It's all pretty much completely in the start of conception at this point. I'm not sure when I will have it up and running if at all as I'm currently saving for a trip to Hawaii and what not as well as paying the house bills.
Basically it would just be a place to hop in and meet some people, chat with some people and play some games! It would be a drama free zone as well and that will likely be enforced some how if it enters public channels. But like I said I'm still thinking this out. I'm curious if there would be any interest in this idea. Would anyone be interested in something like this?

RimWorld - Game Review and possible stream!
Posted 10 years agoFirst off if you guys are interested I may stream some in an hour or two.
Game review rating = 4 out of 5 stars
Rim World, is a current alpha stage game that has the stability of a full release game! It's a game set in a sci-fi futuristic setting. Humanity has reached the stars but with out the help of faster than light travel. Humans sent terraforming ships deep in space to all known habitable worlds. Then large colony ships were sent off with people in deep cyrosleep champers to awake when they arrived (sort of like the movie Alien). Some planets have become beacons of technology, others have fallen into medieval, and tribal cultures. However with you, some catastrophic tragedy befalls your ship as it enters the system. three survivors land together in escape pods. And this is where your journey starts. You get to choose your three survivors!
So what is this game about? Survival! Your three survivors spawn with enough materials and food to build a small shelter and eat for about ten to fifteen days. In that time you need to set up a base, with protection from both wild life, and other survivors! Other towns may exist on the planet and they may be friendly or hostile. You can recruit new people as they show up, or capture enemies and convince them to join your colony!
The game's premise is pretty good. I like it, it sort of reminds me of FTL (on steam) But with a far larger scope. The computer AI doesn't do an amazing job of prioritizing some of your survivors behaviors. For example during an enemy raid you may have one of your miners heading out into the middle of a gun fight to mine some ore....you will need to physically order him to hide indoors. But for me that is part of the game. You can pause the game to issue orders so once you get the hang of the game it isn't really much of a problem.
The learning curve on this game can be slightly intimidating. There is a lot to learn early on, with lots of options to sift through. So it sort of seems slightly overwhelming when you first get in game. The AI does a decent job of pointing you to the tabs you need to play with in order to get stuff done if it looks like you don't know how to use them. But once you get the general hang of it, it's pretty seamless. you can do just about anything!
Combat isn't always based on who has the best technology! Sure, nice guns help....but them primitive screw heads can do a lot of damage in a short time if you don't know how to fight them! I once had a colony die to three guys with long bows vs my two guys with bolt action rifles There is quite a bit of strategy involve in laying out your colony, the power sources, farming zones, living areas. Your people have feelings! If they work all day with out any down time they may end up going crazy and attacking all your own people! Or maybe the Nudist just couldn't take the fact you put him in clothes...and he ends up going into a depressed mood of wandering around aimlessly for awhile!
The game is deep! There is lots of stuff to consider, from the beauty of your colony. To the weather and how much room you give each survivor to live in. Combat isn't just a roll of the dice. Cover matters...distance matters. Each weapon has it's area's it preforms well in. hiding behind rocks, walls, trees, sandbags improves your guys chances of surviving the fight! The computer AI can be set to maaaany levels and at times can be pretty rough! I almost lost my colony due to having a wild fire set by lighting burning down most my crops and wind turbines in the middle of an enemy raid!
Check out the website http://rimworldgame.com/ and watch the intro video. I've donated and rather enjoyed this game.
For any tips feel free to ask me! Also if anyone is interested I can stream a new game to let you see how it plays and get an idea of how to start out. The current game doe snot have a new player's walkthough so I had to learn it all on the fly and it was a bit rough.

Slightly hung over Khyn says....
Posted 10 years agoOk maybe more than slightly...the first hour or so was rough. But now that I've got a nice big pile of greasy hashbrowns they have settled my stomach...or perhaps just made it so lethargic it doesn't want to be upset any more! I'm a gallon of water in and feeling much better.....*eyes the bottle of southern comfort* I knew I should have ignored you and your dark liquor!!!.....Seriously though....lazy khyn day!
I'm about to torture you!
Posted 11 years agoYep....you heard right. So...some of you have likely heard about the whole CIA torture thing if you live in the US. If you don't, recently the government released some of the once secret documents regarding how they tortured *coughs* "Enhanced interrogation techniques" they used on captured terrorist suspects and detainees. I'm not going to get into everything involved int he documents, BUT I did have to say I found some bit of entertainment out of it.
Now I'm sure you are saying...Nusair...what kind of cruel asshole are you to find humor in torture!?!? Well one of the things they did to torture people was keep them awake and deprive them of sleep by playing songs. Well hilariously....one of them was one that the entire US population was subjected to on a daily basis during every commercial break BEHOLD TORTURE! ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?featu.....;v=5JuVHCJVYf4 )
The list is rather long of the songs used but some of them will make you scratch your head and at the very least make you chuckle at the idea of them. My personal favorite really...is ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?featu.....;v=04854XqcfCY ) Just imagine...you get captured building bombs or after a firefight and then forced to listen to "We are the Champions" All day...a special bit of salt in the wounds of being a captured terrorist.
NOW....trying to avoid a bunch of disgust, torture is wrong. I don't really condone physical torture. But weather you know it or not.....there is a good chance that every government in the world has a group of people somewhere that do this in the defense of their country. No one really sits on moral highground in this subject. It happens...most people are happy to simply not know about it. Well i can't really stand behind the idea that people will and are going to torture people...I'm not naive enough to believe it will never and has never happened. At any rate....I hope some of you at least could look into this sill journal and get some entertainment value from it. AND as a bonus here is a larger list of songs used by the CIA to 'torture' people. REMEMBER....we have all now been subject to torture.

An update!
Posted 11 years agoSo, I realized it has been awhile since I've posted something up in awhile. So I figured I would post a little update for those who may care enough about a grumpy purple Khyn. So RL has kept me a bit busy of late, work and other normal things. I do apologize for my absence and I miss many of you! But I have been paying Archage quite a bit when I get free time. So if you find yourself slinking around such a game please drop me a comment!
But despite all of these things I've been well! I've also been saving some money for a Trip to Hawaii along with new car payments, so it would explain a bit of the lack of artwork. Worry now there shall be more to come sooner or later. And HEY maybe I will ask for some requests of what kind of artwork you would like to see Nusair in! Should make for something fun!
Anyway, I'm still alive! I hope you are all as well!

Looking for Artist suggestions! (info inside!)
Posted 11 years agoSo, I have a few go to artists for the stuff I really enjoy. But I'm kind of looking for a sketch of a human character that is more realistic.
Not ...like crazy realistic. I'm doing sort of a fantasy setting character and would like a visual aid to go along for the RP char. If anyone knows of anyone who is open to such sketch commissions or is in fact such an artist please let me know!
Thanks in advance - Nusair

So I'm watching The Running Man....
Posted 11 years agoYEa....yep...classic! Oh what they do with this movie! I love good B movies! SO DISCUSS!
Exhausted khyn says....
Posted 11 years agoGOOD TIMES! But I still want to sit on the couch like a sack of potatoes. Did the annual Mud Run ...5.6 miles of off road running with obstacles. Lord I'm am so sore right now and I had mud in places that.....mud just shouldn't be. By far the obstacles that kicked my ass more then any had to be the four back to back twenty foot hills with four foot deep mud/water pits between them >.< I nearly wanted to throw up after the last one but that was only 3.5 miles in. The other was the hundred foot crawl through the mud. It really wasn't so bad but being that it was at mile 5 and I was running on exhausted already and the the mud here just smelled really bad! Either way I had a good time...was a good belated birthday punishment :P and the free beer afterwards was nice! Either way....FORM OF COUCH POTATO! GO!
Nusair's Wildstar game review!
Posted 11 years agoSo many of you may or may not have heard of Wildstar. Those of you that have, may have seen the NC soft logo and just ended there. I have to say I can't blame you. NCsoft has had it's share of flops. In fact the only NCsoft game I really gave any more then a thought of my time was City of Hero's which I enjoyed quite a bit. So there has been plenty of hype about the game and I would like to put my thoughts down for anyone interested in the game. I've not had the best of track with MMO's. since WoW I've had a bit of a falling out. WoW started great and really...i felt dragged ass and ruined their own lore and game well trying to keep the game from getting stale. So I've been pretty critical of all MMO's since.
So Wildstar is a pulpy sci-fi setting game. The game features seven races (four on each side, though both sides have Humans) and Six different classes. This part of the game doesn't really have anything spectacular. It does have a pretty decent character customization system. It has plenty of options and lets you adjust your character's facial features and body features along with adjusting facial traits such as nose size, chin size and what not. It isn't overly complicated and fairly easy. I was pleased by it but it didn't blow me away.
Once you get into the game, you are faced with a slightly cartoonish world that is by design a bit hokey and humorous. It serves it well as it just makes the game more comfortable to play. They do a decent job of making things easy to understand for the most part. The stats in the game are a bit of an exception. Each class gets different benefits from each stat. For example Brutality increases attack power on Warriors well Medics it gives Strike-through rating. So it isn't so simple to understand what exactly you want. You need to really read your class to understand what you want to look for in gear. So once you understand what your stats do and what you need for your class it will make your game experiences much better when you get to level 10 or so when they actually start to matter.
The game play is pretty simplified, it helps you feel like a hero when you start playing. All attacks are basically an AOE with different sizes. Your sword swing for example does an arch in front of you well laser pistols may do a long straight line or cone in front of you and lets you take on more than one mob at a time. The combat system is basically a hybrid system that leans toward a Guildwar's style you can change on the fly. You are given quite a few abilities that you unlock as you level up, but have only limited space on your hotbar and make you build your own play style no matter what class you play. I actually enjoy this it isn't overly limiting and really makes you fine tune your rotation what ever it is and stops you from needing absurd amounts of add-on to manage your abilities (which I've always considered cheating anyway)
Ultimately the game has been accused of not doing anything original. I will agree with this criticism there isn't anything this game really does that is a new idea. HOWEVER....what it does do has a rather fresh and appealing feel to them. The quest system is broken up and lacks lots of the UPS style quests of *pick up this bring it here* Quests require you to use items on monsters, solve puzzles, and kill monsters. But they don't load you down with to many of one kind. My personal favorite is a quest that has you sick a mind control octopus on enemy player's or their base guards...at the end of which you get a lovely brain sucking helmet that talks only to your character...and you get a nice moist tentacled friend to take place of your head!
The group quests are by far a nice change. Dungeons are not the cozy autopilot they are in games like WoW or other MMO. If you get a Dungeon...on normal it is going to slap you around and leave you feeling raped...the bosses are no joke. The first dungeon I did at level 20 was WAY more interesting and WAY more difficult then raid end game bosses in WoW ...and only require 5 people...yea....FIVE people! Far more easy to get five friends together instead of trying to deal with the bullshit politics of large raid guilds.
The crafting system is by far the BIGGEST thing different then any other game. Crafting itself is actually a mini-game. It isn't the ...click and craft style play most games have. Finding materials is relatively easy. Crafting isn't so hard either but getting exactly what you want takes some skill! Just cooking for example isnt' an exact science! You need to actually add ingredients....and balance them to make special versions of food to give it special buffs. But it isn't the same ingredients every time. Last time a pinch of garlic and some cheese was all it took...this time it may need pepper and some cinnamon! Armor smithing/architects are much the same way. There is an element to randomness that you have no control over. So you will need to pay attention. Also leveling your crafting up gives you crafting skills that let you choose which bonus your craft tech tree will have. That way most armor crafters will likely not have the same talent set up...I admit the crafting and trade system impressed me.
so TLDR?
Game is good...if you enjoy MMO's this is a game for you, and you will rather enjoy yourself! If you are on the fence about MMORPG I would check out youtube or ask a friend who does have it to let you try it. The game does have a subscription model, which I actually prefer over free to play. However it is possible to play for free! Yes yes...there is a system set up that lets you use in game currency and acquire C.R.E.D.D. which lets you play with out using hard cash. You will have to GOOGLE that to get the low down. Now if you aren't much of an MMORPG type person...just keep moving. There is nothing in this game that will change your mind.

Posted 11 years agoSo I will likely be in Wildstar...for how ever long I will last there! So if anyone gets it and wants to group up just give me a hollar here!
Also some time soon Starcitizen will be coming out! I also have pre-ordered that. WE have a little group together already but I'm happy to fly with anyone who wants to go make some creds!
Also I've been playing some Battlefield 4 lately. If you want to shoot some people just look up Nusair25 on Origin! send me a message!

Art I'm waiting on.
Posted 11 years agoSo this will be the first time I've done this. Honestly I'm doing it just to remind myself since it has taken some time. Everyone sees people post up topics about how some commissioner or another screwed them by recalling a payment. Plenty of times I agree that the commissioner was being a total ass and was out of line. But remember sometimes when you pay money for something you are owed some kind of decent idea of turn around time by said artist. Keep the people who pay you informed on the process and they will continue to be good customers!
1 Char full detail from
Loculi time since commission = 1.5 years/18 months
I was really excited about this, to date it was the most I've put out for a single char picture. I got an acceptance sketch but since then the only contact I got was after I sent a note every four months or so. Often he promised me an update with in the week of contact but sadly I only recently got an update after another note asking for an update. That said it actually appears quite a bit of work has gotten done but was still only about half done.

Mavie Has to be one of my favorite artist to day. I really love her style I often push friends looking for art her way. In the past all of the artwork I've gotten from her has been done quickly and with out issue. However this one has taken quite a bit longer then usual. I've had to poke several times but recently got a sketch update and she actually finished the first of the two not to long ago. I will be updating my gallery shortly. Also Mavie does seem genuinely sorry for how long this these had taken!
2 char full shading from
Yashendwirh time since commission 4 months?
Not something I would normally worry about, but over this last month they seem to have gone missing. Deleted their account on another website and have since fallen silent here. Just hoping she didn't disappear.
1 Char pinup from
Digital-Maesma time waiting <1 Week. I honestly just paid for this the other day. I'm not worried at all but this is a list of all current artwork paid for and not yet delivered :P Been watching theirr art and have always enjoyed it. I figured I would give em a try!

Posted 11 years agoNo...but for real...this guy is actually trying to be serious. Either way...I was laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes. Remember someone considers this guy a spiritual leader...I will warn you now...it gets a little out there. And if you don't have someone with a sense of humor around they may be offended by what he says.
I however watched this and enjoyed the hilariousness and utter ridiculousness of it all, just think of him as a comic! Look out black sista! DA white homo is coming for your man!

Up comming things a Khyn is excited about (gaming stuffs)
Posted 11 years agoSo it is no real secret I'm a bit of a gamer dork. And there are titles I love more than others, I've always been a FPS fanatic. But in the last few years FPS games have slowly withered, EA has had a lot to do with this branch of gaming falling from the top of my gaming love. Ironically it also had some things to do with it stepping up to the top! But no worries, I'm not turning this into an EA rant fest that discussion has been had...and if you want to know more we can chat. But I also love RPGs and sandbox games. So with that said I was on the edge of my seat when I started to read (( http://kotaku.com/leaked-documents-.....-in-1481322956 )) That FALLOUT 4 was in the works and apparently has been. It drops a few ideas of the setting but not much else. The fallout series has ALWAYS been a favorite of mine. Just the world it is set in....some of the crazy ridiculous things you see... hell even in fallout 3 some of the bugs made the game THAT MUCH MORE HILARIOUS! I still remember traveling through the wastes in Fallout3 and suddenly I hear combat music! So...I quickly look around ready to shoot what ever raiders or bandits spotted me. I see nothing...I'm standing there a moment and think just to glance up above me and see a GIANT RADSCORPION falling from the sky...right on me! ..... I cursed so loud my better half though I just hurt myself. I then died as I was laughing so hard I couldn't fight back. I have plenty of fond memories of this game. So a Khyn is excited for more post apocalyptic FPS RPG fun! Specially considering Nusair's story line revolves around a somewhat similar setting in the future of Earth after an apocalyptic war.
So....that said where do we go from here? Into history! http://kingdomcomerpg.com/ Kingdom Come is a realistic RPG set in midevil times. There is no dragons, mages, or magic....just realistic historical times. But the game takes an interesting turn...every quest has multiple solutions to it. You maybe able to pay off the bandits instead of going to get their heads for example. And every choice you make effects the way your character develops and how people treat them. Well combat wise you choose...you choose your skills....just because you are a knight doesn't mean you can't be a thieving cut purse. The combat system looks interesting and all in all it seems like it is going to be a fun game to play. Time will tell of course...but never the less a Khyn is curious to see just how it will turn out.
Then there is Mount & Blade II : Bannerlords (( http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/News )) I had so many good times playing the first MB series...you really just made your own storyline. The first games didn't really have any more story then what you added yourself. But the game still found a way to occupy plenty of my time. It was a great game to just...fuck around with. Dealing with other lords...defending your castles... the game was a good time sink for the times when you wanted some entertainment but your other games just didn't fit your fancy. This time around the graphics have gotten a huge upgrade. Other than that I have almost no other information on the game yet. But I will be keeping an eye on it.
LASTLY....we got Wildstar! (( http://www.wildstar-online.com/en/#page1 )) I was first hooked on MMOs by Planetside(the original) then into WoW where I stayed for some time. I really enjoyed the game, but raiding took most of the love of the game out of me. I played for several years with good friends. Slowly I felt the game developers just...trashed their own story world with the silly plots and things they started to add in. But more than anything I felt I got pushed out by the overly egocentric and elitist people who played the game. Some of these people treat the game more like life or a job then a game.....they constantly bring up drama in guilds and make me feel like I'm in an episode of Real housewives of warcraft. BUT...let me get back on topic :P SO WILDSTAR! Looks like some fun...I'm not going to lie to myself and say I don't expect any of those same people to show up there. But I'm going to go into it with the mentality that I'm going to STAY THE FUCK AWAYFROM THEM! I have a few friends that plan on getting this...one already in beta. A big part of the game is player housing...you can set it all up yourself apparently! And the game doesn't seem to take itself too seriously with out going off the total deep end. So...I admit I'm excited. It will be the first MMO I'm excited about since SWTOR ( and that didn't turn out so well...though the story lines were great, the game just lacked to much away from the single player stories)
SO I've rambled on now for some time...and thanks for reading if you have gotten this far. Let me ask you though, WHAT GAMES ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TOO? Or do you have any questions for a Khyn? I've had my fingers in quite a few of the upcoming games...and if I haven't I generally know someone who has. So I can shoot you what I know about them.
