A Brief History of the Kingdom of Roaldorff
Posted 10 years agoNow to set a few things Straight most of the items BTMW (Before the Mage Wars) are guess work and stories from elders as due to the Wars a lot of documentation and History about the Kingdom was damaged or destroyed. Now that’s out of the way this is a Brief History of the Kingdom of Roaldorff.
Before the Mage Wars
62BTMW:- Young Prince Yevin discovered his abilities to control Fire he keeps it a secret for many years.
60BTMW:- Prince Yevin is crowned King after his father’s mysterious Death most of his brothers are suspicious of Yevin
60BTMW:- Prince Lucas discovers his brother’s ability to use fire magic and his suspicions grow about their father’s death.
59BTMW:- The Kings mother dies, Yevin is torn with grief
58BTMW:- Lucas confronts the King about their father’s death, shortly after Lucas disappeared.
56BTMW:- Lucas finds himself in a prison along with other individuals able to use magic he makes fast friends with many of them and plans an escape.
55BTMW:- having escaped prison Lucas returns to the Capitol with his army of mages to remove his older brother from the throne.
53BTMW:- after 2 Years of fighting Yevin is removed and banished by his younger brother Lucas who gives the Throne to the next in line Prince Sigan, who is crowned King
50BTMW:- With help from the newly founded Mages Guild Lucas manages to Master the use of Fire and Healing Magic, he also teaches Sigan to use magic
30BTMW:- the banished now self proclaimed Lord of the Wind Yevin begins to form an Army of his own to retake the Kingdom.
29BTMW:- Sigan is badly injured on a hunting trip Lucas rules the kingdom until his Brother recovers
28BTMW:- Sigan dies of his injures and Lucas is Crowned King.
20BTMW:- after many magic related deaths and injuries King Lucas founds the Academy of Mages, where people with the ability to wield magic can go and learn to control their abilities in a safe environment. He assigns one of his Sisters Princess Riana a very strong Mage to oversee the Academy
10BTMW:- A group of extremist Mages and secret followers of Yevin start to harass the Kingdoms Supply ships and convoys in response Warrior mages are assigned to every Ship and Convoy.
1BTMW:- The Academy of Mages is attacked by an unknown force and High Mage Riana is killed.
6 months BTMW:- Yevin makes himself known to the world by attacking the Home of the head of the treasury who is killed, Yevin leaves a note addressed to the King saying “I return Brother to seek my revenge and take back what is rightfully mine. You have less than 6 months before I take back my home.”
0BTMW:- Yevin attacks the capitol city and destroys the Royal Palace killing many of the royal family Lucas Survives and swears revenge thus starting the Mage wars.
The Mage Wars
The following is an account of the mage wars only rough dates are known about the early parts of the conflict this time is known as The Mage Wars (TMW)
1TMW:- Snow Wolf clan Everwinter joins the forces of Roaldorff. All the other Wolf clans stay neutral.
10TMW:- After hiding on the Islands of Wind Yevin’s forces make landfall around the town of Port Sanches and begin to raid and destroy towns and villages along their way to the capitol however the Kingdoms forces intercept them and force them towards the far Western Forests.
20TMW:- After Siding with Roaldorff the Dust wolf Clan Sandrough is all but wiped out only one person survives the massacre.
25TMW:- An unknown Master Fire mage destroys an entire army of Mages and Dragons coming to help Yevin and creates the area now known as The Scar.
30TMW:- After Cornering and destroying Yevin’s Forces on the islands of Wind Lord Yevin is executed by Lucas thus ending the Mage Wars.
That is the Mage Wars the most destructive war in the history of Roaldorff’s history the events of this war tainted the reputation of Mages all over the world, before they were respected and trusted individuals now they are feared and distrusted.
After the Mage Wars
Now is an account of more recent events known as After the Mage Wars (AMW)
1AMW:- Lucas Dies of an unknown illness and his Son Prince Morvan is crowned King.
2AMW:- Morvan passes a Law stating that mages could not practice magic outside the Academy of mages to keep magic from “Damaging the Kingdom” most go peacefully some rise up but are quickly put down by Mage Hunters.
5AMW:- Port Sanches is finally rebuilt by the very wealthy Marketh family, who are declared Lords of Port Sanches.
10AMW:- Spark Marketh is born and Port Sanches celebrates.
18AMW:- Spark “disappears” from the family home and a nationwide search is conducted.
20AMW:- The Search for Spark is called off and King Morvan visits Port Sanches to pass his condolences to the Family in person.
30AMW:- A new Lord of the Wind makes himself known to the Kingdom by attacking a small village and killing all of the villagers and leaves a note similar to before Addressed to the King.
31AMW:- Yevin’s burial chamber is found broken into and the His body is missing but nothing else is taken some speculate that Yevin has returned from the dead and fear is gripping the Kingdom.

Personality/Background: Mira is the mate of Farhgarth and the lead huntress of pack, as such she oversees all of the young wolves training to be hunters she was on the hunt when the incident involving Ismear and she spoke for him in the his trial but ultimately the pack council decided to exile Ismear and Mira feels that Farhgarth did not do enough to stop it from happening, she also feels that she is responsible for both Ismears Exile and for the young wolfs death. Mira is level headed and strong she does not care for stupid questions and often loses her temper if a young wolf struggles to understand what she teaches

Personality/Background: After fighting in the Mage Wars this old Warrior Mage lives at the Academy as an instructor in Fire Magic and was there when Spark was abandoned by his parents, Shocked at their willingness to leave their son just because he could use basic magic, Bargalth took it upon himself to raise the young Spark, over the years Bargalth taught Spark many things including the art of the sword which was forbidden to be taught within the grounds of the Academy. He also knew about Spark’s plans to escape and when he approached Spark and told much to Sparks surprise to take one of his old swords and a set of his armour with him. Bargalth is about as tough as they come it was rumoured that he managed to bring down 4 Dragons in one battle as well as over 50 other enemy warriors, this has lead him to be very bitter and Short tempered, he has a very dark sense of humor. He never spoke to anybody about his experiences in the Mage Wars until he met Spark…

Personality/Background: Rory was a fairly successful thief before being captured by Spark and Sootey after an attempt at stealing a powerful gem from the Academy of Mages, when the Academy found his ability in magic they held him within its grounds, under the care of the not so delighted Spark and Sootey who nicknamed him Tiger for the striped pattern on his arms and legs, he made a vow to change his ways. Tough and very street smart after growing up on the Streets of (City Name?), he is also very loyal and true to his word which is odd for a thief. Ismear the Snow Wolf

Name: Ismear
Race: Snow Wolf
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Height: 6ft 4 Inches
Primary Fur Colour: White
Secondary Fur Colour: Silver
Tertiary Fur Colour: Black (Mark of Exile)
Eye Colour: Ice Blue
Pads Colour: Black
Description: Stands on Digits and a very muscular body
Head/Face/Ears: his Face is White with a Silver stripe in a loose curve going across his left eye towards his nose; his ears are primarily Silver with a few non identical White spots on them. His eyes are Ice Blue.
Body/Tail: His main body is White with a small Silver patch on his chest he has a scar on the left side of his chest going diagonal towards his shoulder.
Legs/Arms: his arms are all White apart from a Black Tattoo that goes around his Right Arm; The Tattoo is two staggered Lines with triangles going through the middle sort of like this:

His legs are the same White but his paws from his ankle down are Silver and his Pads are Black.
Personality/Background: Exiled from his pack for a mistake that caused the Death of the son of a pack council member. He now wanders the lands in search of a purpose to his life. Quick to anger Ismear is a strong and capable warrior as well as an extremely experienced hunter he uses his Falchion with great skill to destroy any who stand in his way. He also possesses a very basic knowledge of Ice magic.

Spark Marketh (My Fursona)
