Just letting ya'll know that I'm feeling better and look forward to getting commissions done!
Resetting myself like that really put my responsibilities in perspective. I'm glad I did it.
I feel more clearheaded now and especially with the warm weather coming around, happier.
I tell you, seasonal affective disorder is a bitch. If I could move someplace hot year-round I would.
At least here people are starting to come out of their homes to enjoy the sunshine and socialize.
it's not particularly warm yet but it's warm enough that you can go out without a jacket and in shorts.
I love it. I need it. And can you guess why I named my daughter Summer? c:
Because I wait all year to feel the weather warming up, the first signs of spring let me know I've survived another cold season.
That Summer is coming and I'll be happy again.

I'm too anxious to work on larger images in fear that they won't be up to par with my standards of quality!

I'm not quite comfortable expressing this to my family and friends yet. I'll get there.
I very heavily prefer they/them. Always.
I know it's difficult to let go of "she" and I know some people simply don't know yet.
It's okay! I may gently correct you if I feel like we'll have extended interaction.
But misgendering happens, it's an unavoidable part of being trans/nonbinary/etc.
I believe most people don't do it maliciously. Try to educate those who struggle with it!!

So this would give the customer less control over the image, but I think we all know that artists do their best work when unconstrained!
So let's say $35-$40 flat. You give the artist your reference, and maybe a short prompt. (Magic, 90's retro, NSFW, being cute, etc.)
The artist takes that and basically does what they want with the character style-wise. This could provide open space for an artist to experiment,
to feel out the image, to play on their canvas and maybe learn something new! It can get so boring doing the same thing over and over.
"Sketch, Line with size 3 brush, color with pen, create a shade layer set to multiply, cel shading, done."
I mean, that's great and all if your audience is looking for consistency on what to expect and shopping for a specific look, but rarely do
artists deviate very far from their natural rhythm. It's most likely that the end product of even an experimental image will look just like
any other pieces they've done before. Just, slightly different? Maybe they used a new ink pen, maybe they highlighted differently, proportions, etc.
So, what do you guys think? What would concern you about this?
Assuming there's a minimum effort value so someone doesn't just do a crappy doodle and hand it over. There's gotta be a base to build on.

A lot of people have noticed I disabled my account for about the last week.
It seemed to upset and concern a lot of people, especially my customers and a few good friends.
Please don't worry, it was a temporary thing and everything is okay.
I'm going to copy/paste what I wrote to an individual via note explaining the situation:
I apologize for the worry and confusion, and I hope you can believe me when I tell you that I didn't shut down my account to actively block communication from you or any other customers.
My reason for doing it was to temporarily prevent myself from coming online. I tend to have weak self-control. I needed some time to thinking about a few things, including my career, future, and family.
I've come to realize that furry art is not something I want to do full time and it's something that causes a LOT of stress for me. So much so that after I made the decision to pursue other hobbies and
career paths, just the idea of sitting down at my desk again would incite anxiety. I was so unhappy spending so much time working on furry art. I had broken down crying to my fiance that I was missing out
on our relationship and my daughter growing up. A month would feel like 3 days to me, I was beginning to dissociate while I worked. I was a completely different person. When my fiance would come in to
the office to talk to me while I was working I would get very very frustrated and talk to him in a very unkind manner because I "couldn't focus".
This past week I've spent apart from the internet has been wonderful. I dance with my daughter and sing to her. I've been cooking more. I've been sewing. I've been coloring in books. I've been spending
time with my fiance. And most importantly I have been happy and relaxed. No more snapping or yelling or irritation.
I will continue working on owed art; albeit not for 10+ hour streams like I had been, but I will finish what I promised.
I also am planning on taking one more round of commissions before I completely cut off my business. Art after that will be mostly personal/friends/trades/requests.
I hope this makes sense to you. I'm so sorry for the way I've made you feel. I wasn't thinking very straight, I should have just told everybody how I felt instead of shutting off my account.
At the time all I wanted was some peace of mind that I wouldn't have to worry about work for a few days. :c
So yeah, I mean there's not much else I can say besides that.
I'm very sorry for scaring you guys. I needed time to think and re-evaluate what I want to do in life.

So our electric bill came in and it's much higher than anticipated.
Around $220 for one month. We've been using the individual room
thermostats without the knowledge that they're MUCH less efficient.
I need to make at least half of that soon, so I am forced to take more.

As far as copyrights and crediting go, does anyone have any knowledge?
I see people using them often as ref sheet BG's and I really like it, but
I don't want to be disrespectful to the photographer by just... taking their work.

The image can be anything that you like, obviously. But this slot will allow a lot of things that I normally will not do.

You guys can do this too, it's not really a meme but I guess it could be!
I just figured I'd share some weird or interesting facts about myself!
-I can't swim. Don't put me in water deeper than 5'. I can't figure it out!! and I HAVE inhaled water before!!
-My secret talent is making balloon animals. >:3
-I do NOT trust dolphins and NEVER will I swim with them. They scare the crap out of me. They're too smart!!! They do evil shit like humans do too!!!
-I've never seen the ocean! Largest body of water I've been near was Lake Powell (The beach on the Utah side of the lake!) and the Mississippi River.
-Also don't talk to me about aliens. They terrify me. I cannot watch alien movies. If we ever make contact with intelligent life I'm OUT.
-ALSO NO PUPPETS AND THEME PARK MASCOTS. (Yes, fursuits scare me!! I LOVE suits so much but I will stay approx. 30 ft. away 90% of the time!!!)
-When I was little (like, kindergarten age) I continuously cussed my mom out for absolutely no reason.
-I can roller skate/roller blade very well. I cannot ice skate, however.
-I am a huge morning person!! I'm also a night owl! You know what I can't stand? AFTERNOONS
-I am unable to drink non-bottled water. (Specific brands!!) I can't even drink Brita filtered water. :c
-I have a type of synesthesia (a disorder that causes two or more senses to cross. Ex: Hearing colors or tasting music) called Ordinal Linguistic Personification. Numbers have personalities and interpersonal relationships in my mind. It makes it very hard to do math because the numbers often 'argue' and talk over my thoughts. Both numbers and letters have colors or 'auras' to me.
