This kitty curio got the best of her!😬
The first day I noticed deer out by the field, I read up and saw peppermint was a deterrent. I have peppermint essential oil, so thought that would be brilliant! Annnnyway... I knew putting the oil directly on the pumpkins would probably be a bad idea. so had those super lightweight porous stones you mix in the soil, grabbed a few, and put a drop or so of oil on the stone then put the stone on the pumpkins. Oil side face up,of course.
Welllllllllll seems a bit if the oil did touch some of the pumpkins. Maybe 8 to 10 in all out of about 30, and it hit the Cinderellas the worst, but luckily not my favorite. It left these little circular discolored soft spots. Really hoping since most are still growing and on the vine, it will heal -praying to the pumpkins god to forgive me for this one 🙏
... but lesson learned!
Keep PURE essential Oils FAR AWAY from your pumpkins. 😅😣🤣 experiment 29756: essential oil stone on top of pumpkins, failed.

I’ve started a small pumpkin patch. Over 20 plants, 12 different varieties.
I know I have been gone for awhile with the occasional drop in. Life has been all consuming, but I do miss this place much.
So many reasons, but am trying to learn how to farm. And I’ll be recording how different plants handle different weathers and seasons... it’s a big experiment to see which pumpkins grow best in a hotter climate zone than what these pumpkins are traditionally planted in.
FA’s set up with galleries should make it easier to keep track and record progress.
Also been pondering what to call this little patch of ours.

I am a Supernatural fan, and finally managed to watch the ending. Season 15 was better than the last few seasons and felt like they go back to the beginning a lot. Especially the last episode where Dean dies. I had just started rewatching S1, and the first time he almost died had me even accepting the way they ended him even more. S1 e12, It was a similar circumstance, saving kids, fight with monster but more of the environment that got him. Electric shock first time around, spike this time. He was accepting of his own fate to die young way back then.
Also I was really impressed how they did the thank you to the fans. It was part of the episode, no waiting until after credits, just everyone on the bridge saying thank you and goodbye. I’ve never seen that done before.
Now I want a horro-comedy spin off of Garth and his werewolf family/hunter/dentist adventures!
Just had to get this off my fluffy chest.

I just jump on here once or twice a month. Life is what life is, pretty consuming. I’m trying to manage my Narcolepsy, success and failures here and there. I’m understanding it more now. I know when I NEED to turn off emotion and when it’s ok to feel them.. cataplexy, it makes me into a limp ragdoll, and emotions trigger it.
My wee little Harukou, she’s just started kindergarten! At 3 and a half (normal for Japan). She loves it, my biggest kitten, now 8 is finding himself. He struggles with something ADD, or very high on the spectrum, but he’s learning how to control his emotions, and enjoying school more. He’s also having to take more responsibility. I have nights I can’t do anything, and papa kitty is late at work, so he takes charge. He’s doing well. Loves to make Onigiri.
I am going to start a pumpkin patch next year. I’m excited about this new adventure.

The family LOVED this morning’s pancakes. I didn’t have a the instant (which I have sadly went back to cause life is crazy busy), and was out of milk... so decided to sub in yogurt. I just pretty much eyed everything and half arsed measured it. Half asleep while I made them.
Very very fluffy. Very very Mochi Mochi (chewy in a marshmallow yummy way) and moist :3

1cup flour,
1/2tsp baking soda
Dash of salt
2TBSP of brown sugar

1/2 cup yogurt ?
1 egg
1/2 TBSP rice vinegar (?) eyed this part.

Mix dry ingredients, and wet ingredients separately, then together. Batter should be thick, but just enough yogurt it is smooth.
Hopefully will put pics up next time I make these!

I have seen people on my FB saying it’s a Furry’s wet dream... and it just reminds me of how the world views us and how we view us. To be honest, the CGI is a bit disturbing... I am really looking forward to seeing it, but just not my idea of what the majority of furries are.

Been doing low carb/keto to help...
but developed Cataplexy this last week. First time was just my neck and arms going floppy, second time, was full body paralysis when I feel on my kitchen floor. (My legs were getting a little floppy I found it funny, so it got worse).. and surprisingly it wasn’t scary.. I was like, wow! This floor is comfy! I could just nap... ooop... my little has got something! Gotta get her, crap... can’t move... was like that for about two minutes. MRI, ECG, showed my brain is all pretty, blood work all super healthy.
Next time, floppy neck on the train, and after that was after romantic time with hubby. Just went like a rag doll... which actually was kind of hilarious because I tried to roll over to lay on him instead just flopped my whole body on him in a very silly way.
So asked my sleep specialist about it...he said vertigo. And I am like whaaaattttt??never heard of vertigo like that... but heck I don’t know about vertigo. Luckily I had an appointment with my son’s ENT for his allergies... and asked her about it. She was like, that is NOT vertigo! Who is this doctor?!?! Now in search of new doctor.

Had my MSLT done, I couldn’t stay asleep, just kept bouncing back and forth from sleep to wake like some dribbling a basketball, so they ruled out Hypersomnia and Narcolepsy. Which is a relief, I didn’t want those.
He suggested I see another doctor, very nice guy , he prescribed me Clomipramine to help suppress my REM cycles during my night time sleep. It’s normally for OCD and sever depression and anxiety. Well, my family, and I too, have a weird history with not acting right with meds.
HOLY SHIT!!! I have never taken recreational drugs before, but what I experienced I would call a bad trip. I woke up, and my arms and legs were too long, and I was Afraid of EVERYTHING. Like serious in fetal position, or back plastered up against the wall when my hubby would try to give me something. For a good hour It would take 4 or5 attempts for me to even be able to reach out to pick up my cup. Then my hubby had to move all toys and blankets out of the way to the bathroom because... well they were scary and I didn’t want to touch them...still feeling weird and very high strung, but not like I was thank god!
So... continues the journey to what is wrong with this Nyeowzers’ kitty’s noggin.

I am sorry I have not been here more... I just trying to figure this all out.

So my first appointment with my psychiatrist was hellish. He was sooooo very dismissive. He pretty much tried to tell me that the reason I felt like I did was because I was a foreigner trying to be a mother in Japan. Ok, yes, that IS stressful, but it does NOT explain why after 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep (ok I wake up a lot buuut not by the kids and I actually sleep) I am already dead tired by 9 am or at least by 11, after waking up at 7. Or that I spend my day like that, or that I can dream stupidly fast. And this has been my life..it just a lot harder coping like this with two kids. And truely upsetting when little D says he wishes that His mommy wasn’t tired all the time, and wishes his daddy would have married someone that was more energetic.
Mommy is trying to get better sweetheart, I truly am.
So my mate and I decided to say bye bye to that doctor... who prescribed a highly addictive sedative that pretty much would even make me into more of a zombie... yes, I would get better sleep... but not at that price.
Soooooafter a bit of crying and finally reaching out to friends, they helped me find a sleep disorder doctor that specializes in narcolepsy! Just 30 minutes away.
I called, and they said they could see me that day! Talked to the doctor, who actually acted like a doctor and asked me the appropriate questions, told me I sound like I have a mild case of Narcolepsy if not Hypersomnias (which I never heard of until that day) and have a MSLT (multiple sleep latency test.... I have to nap 5x, for 35 minutes! 65 minutes apart for one day hooked up to a whole bunch of wires to see my brain waves) scheduled in two weeks from now.
So we will see where it goes!
Also want to say, those of you that have had mental affliction, and sought out help, and had to deal with bad doctor after bad doctor, you are so strong! I never knew how taxing and hard that was!!

I have been wondering and being tested for years for why I am extremely tired all the time... and I have looked into Narcolepsy... and seems I have a lot of the symptoms... even the knees buckling when feeling intense emotions or dropping things. I always thought it was gods way of saying simmer down. But usually only one knee goes out on me. Plus I can hit the pillow and be experiencing life like dreams with in 5 minutes,,,

I have finally starting to get back to this wonderful little fluffy world I have so longed for over the past year.
It’s a place where I can be comfortable just as I am.. be honest in away I usually feel scared to be, and be silly and goofy in ways that make my heart fill with candied butterflies.

I miss being able to be this version of me.. though it’s also something I have been struggling with... who is this me? Motherhood takes it toll, and beautiful one I am thankful for, but now with a bit more free time on me hands, I get to actually look in the mirror and see what is there. Changes, and desires that weren’t there before, fears and securities that are new, this whole new side to swim around in and discover.

So I breathe...
I let myself wander around aimlessly to see what internal flowers catch my eyes, what sounds and songs on my breezes and gusts of wind of my soul will catch my hear, what pull will at the scent of of long lost memories will be awaken again...?

I find myself back here. A longing to draw again, to explore and go deeper. A hunger for philosophy, an almost desperate thirst for the sent of fresh dirt, mountain paths covered in moss, and the salty scent of the sea... that wanderlust I feel like I was almost born with.

So onto who I am, who I was, and towards who I am becoming.

I just found out one of my old time best friend’s 2 year old daughter in in dire straights.

I was so happy to see that they did furries justice in S3 epidsode 25 Boo Normal.
Made me happy... made me miss my furry home away from home.

Just wanted to let my fellow furs know that this momma kitty and her kittens are all safe. Our home town redid their waterways just a few years ago, and it worked like a charm! Unfortunately not for other areas We have about 2 million people displaced, we lost around 200 lives, still quite a few missing.
Crossing my paws no more rainy weeks like this.
As far as other news,
Harukou is already past a year old, she is doing well, and won’t be needing surgery! She loves boxes, licking things that are cold and taking things out of the freezer and hiding them around the house. She loves to growl, and to pretend to be the monster... her big brother has taught her how to give zerberts... and how to tickle my feet... so I am attacked by the two of them often. She also loves face squishes and hugs, and turning herself into a burrito with her baby blankets...
Little D is completely full of energy, but also loves to play being a rapper penguin, an itty bitty baby kitty that is extremely fragile and needs so much love, and also a power ranger type knight crossed with Link, loves making paper air planes, and rings, and playing Minecraft. The kid is bursting with creativity, and made paper air planes for his whole class, one with a whole bunch of hearts on it for a special girl that he “just loves so much” -none of this was prompted by me.
Life has been:incredibly busy, lovely, homesick, wanting to pound my head into brick walls over politics, sick on a turn style basis, funny, full of love, at times lonely, but happy.
I miss the land of the furries....

I've a few extra minutes today, and just saying, Meeewlllo, I'm still alive, well, and the kittens are doing good :)
It's been crazy busy, and we are in the middle of packing up the house. Harukou is growing well, but does not like riding on my back any longer, so has been making the days a bit trickier....
I'm extremely slow with responses and will get to them soon. I tend to pop in every day or two for a quick check. I'm probably literally on the net for about 5-10 minutes a day now.
I'm missing this wonderful world and my time for art, I haven't picked up a pen in over a month now, though that is sure to change after we move and settle in :3

So back at the house again. Not doing as much hard work right now, just playing clean up crew for the time being.
Plastering done, stairs up to the loft almost done. The floor need oiled and the lights need put in.
