bigztehwuff here. Covid and the lock downs etc have slowed down our meetups for a long time. My concern was safety and worrying about my fellow New York furs.. For those who want furmeets, I shall help make it happen! Just want to remind you, IF YOU want to host a meetup, message me directly or this account and i will help spread the word about your meet. I will be making my own in about 2 months hopefully. But anyway...to the details!

"NY Furs 10 Year Reunion!: A tale of Sliders, Smash & Samurai
On July 27th the NY Furs will unite for an event a decade in the making. It’ll be a homage to the first meet I, Frisky Soulwolf, have ever hosted. It’ll run from 2 pm to 12 am so it’ll be a full day about creating memories and reminiscing. I’ll be hosting it at my house where people can either hang out in the backyard or chill in my apartment and play some games. To make things simple I’ll be posting my full address, I trust y’all not to send me anything weird in the mail.

To get there your best bet is to take the J train to Van Siclen station
From 2 to 5 we’ll be doing a meet and greet where people will come in, get to know each other and just relax. Please feel free to bring video games, board games or any other entertainment you want to share with others. It’s also highly encouraged that you bring snacks and drinks as well. Alcohol is permitted as long as you’re 21 and over. Any other recreational activities you might want to indulge yourself in must be done off the premises.
At 5 I’ll be gathering everyone to go on a field trip to White Castle just like me and small group of furs did 10 years ago. The castle is located on the corner of Shepard and Atlantic ave for those of you who are coming late and want to meet us there.
We should be back at my place by 7 and that’s when a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament will begin with a prize up for grabs. You’ll be able to sign up for it all day long until the tournament commences. After the tournament I’ll be introducing most of you to this really cool movie called Samurai Cop which will come with rifftrax commentary but, providing your own is also encouraged.
Once again this meet is for everyone even if you’re from out of state, so I recommend to spread the word so we can see as many familiar and new faces as possible. Fursuits are welcomed but I warn you it’ll probably very hot out, so wear them at your own risk. 10 years ago, a group of young extraordinary individuals decided it was time to unite the New York section of the furry fandom to go on crazy ass adventures. Then two months later with the help of my friends at Star Labs, it became my responsibility to carry on that legacy.
Hello NY Furs, it’s been a long time. My name is Frisky and I used to host furmeets in New York City many years ago making friends and lots of great memories along the way. With the 10th anniversary of the NY Furs FA page approaching, I thought it would be a perfect time to host a reunion for furs that are new to the group and ones that haven’t been around in forever. So whether you’ve been to multiple meets across the decade or even none at all, it would be a pleasure if you joined us. Just like old times I’ll be hosting this meet at my house which is located at Cypress Hills in Brooklyn. There we will have a day of food, drinks, games, bad movies and good times.
More details will be given out once we get closer to the date of the reunion which will be on July 27th. If you’re traveling from far and wish to have place to crash, please let me know in advance. BBQ today august 18th (weather update)
Posted 7 years ago( weather reports say rain chances are 40% at most around 4 pm at area code 10306, I got two tents so it should cover us if there is any rain.)

From manhattan- take 1-2-3-4-5-6 or R train to staten island ferry, the ferry is FREE, take it to staten island then go to terminal B to the left of the docking station at the main hall, then take the bus s51 to midland beach stop.
From brooklyn- Take the s79 from 4th ave and 86th street to staten island Hyland Blvd and midland ave stop, once off the bus go down midland ave towards the side of the mc donalds and gas station, all the way down to the beach area.
In general there is a big parking lot, to the right of the parking lot is the BBQ area. We will put up a sign on our table to help you find us. ^_^
REQUIRED- I'm bringing my grill, all the accessories for it as well as the charcoal and cups and plates and ketchup and mustard. I'll even supply speakers for the music! I cannot afford everything else, so i ask you guys to bring me THE MEEEAAAATTT!!!! I'll need sausages, hotdog buns, Burger patties, burger buns, ribs, chicken, stuffed peppers, chips, soda, bring it all, never too much food! I'll cook it up!, If you need the store, its 4 blocks away and they should have most of that, if not ill make a few trips to the shop rite and give some of you a lift to help me bring in the bacon on that grill! ^_^
Every year we have a wonderful time at my BBQ's, i have some videos from other years i want to put together, including this year as well. I'll edit it and post it on youtube to show everyone who doubts the BBQ'S what fun they're missing out. The people who were there the other years know what i'm talking about. ^_^

Posted 7 years agoHello fellow furries, I apologize for the long wait for furmeets..It's been busy and rough times for me bigztehwuff But please remember, if anyone wants to host meets, contact me and I'll setup the events for you like this guy did below... I will make it happen. All you have to do is tell me when where how, how much and if fursuits are allowed. And I will do the rest! Anyway I got a note from Brett Hanover who made a furry film and I was very happy because I was under a lot of stress with work and here he is with a great idea for a furmeet with not only a what when and where but he made it himself and the trailer looks great. I personally look forward to watching this film being a Filmmaker myself. ^_^ Enough chit chat here are the details!

Location- Anthology Film Archives 32 Second Avenue New York, NY 10003
When- April 20 2018 at 6 PM, I will be there at 5ish. but again we all gather at 6pm.
Fursuits- Not recommended/high chance not allowed.
(I won't be able to attend 24th but those who cant make the 20th can see it then at 9PM.)
Show time- April 20 at 7:00 PM AND April 24 at 9:00 PM

From brooklyn- Take the s79 from 4rth ave and 86th street to staten island Hyland Blvd and midland ave stop, once off the bus go down midland ave towards the side of the mc donalds and gas station, all the way down to the beach area.
In general there is a big parking lot, to the right of the parking lot is the BBQ area. We will put up a sign on our table to help you find us. ^_^
REQUIRED- I'm bringing my grill, all the accessories for it as well as the charcoal and cups and plates and ketchup and mustard. I'll even supply speakers for the music! I cannot afford everything else, so i ask you guys to bring me THE MEEEAAAATTT!!!! I'll need sausages, hotdog buns, Burger patties, burger buns, ribs, chicken, stuffed peppers, chips, soda, bring it all, never too much food! I'll cook it up!, If you need the store, its 4 blocks away and they should have most of that, if not ill make a few trips to the shop rite and give some of you a lift to help me bring in the bacon on that grill! ^_^

AGAIN PLEASE BRING FOOD/WATER, last time some people didn't bring things and we were short on food and some of us had to pay more for more stuff D=, i bought a big bag of coal and grill fuel and it was pretty expensive itself, again bring me the buns and the meats and i'll cook them up all nice like! <3

Sorry for such a long wait for the new one, sadly i had a very busy couple of months, but good news is many furmeets are planned out for us! two this month! here they are!

Howl! It's your lovable wolf Ty Wolvington again! Here is an update on Furry Cinema Night- After a lot of phone calls, THERE WILL BE A CHANGE OF VENUE!!! Instead of Union Square, the event will be @ Regal EWalk Theatre in Times Square! Right off of 8th avenue. Next to the big bus depot! Times are not posted yet, but figure around 7-8pm start. Plenty of time for a wolf to get their drink on! Getting tix Tuesday.....but I will be able to snag limited spares! Spread the word, my fluffys!!!!!! Awwwwooooo!!!

Posted 9 years agoThe Birthday BBQ is still on and will resume as normal. If you have any health problems which the heat wave might affect, please let us know or you might want to avoid coming this time, if you do come for health concerns. Its ok, ill understand, but if you do come, sunblock recommended, we will have ice and cold water as well as an AC place in case of heat related illnesses.
If you feel hot or dizzy, nausea or exessive sweating or any other symptoms please let me know!!! I will assist you and move you to a cooler place and give you water to drink so you will feel better. I will do my best to keep my furries safe! =3

From manhattan- take 1-2-3-4-5-6 or R train to statenisland ferry, the ferry is FREE, take it to staten island then go to terminal B to the left of the docking station at the main hall, then take the bus s51 to midland beach stop.
From brooklyn- Take the s79 from 4rth ave and 86th street to staten island Hyland Blvd and midland ave stop, once off the bus go down midland ave towards the side of the mc donalds and gas station, all the way down to the beach area.
In general there is a big parking lot, to the right of the parking lot is the BBQ area. We will put up a sign on our table to help you find us. ^_^
REQUIRED- i'm brining my grill, all the accessories for it as well as the charcoal and cups and plates and ketchup and mustard. I'll even supply speakers for the music! I cannot afford everything else, so i ask you guys to bring me THE MEEEAAAATTT!!!! I'll need sausages, hotdog buns, Burger patties, burger buns, ribs, chicken, stuffed peppers, chips, soda, bring it all, never too much food! I'll cook it up!, If you need the store, its 4 blocks away and they should have most of that, if not ill make a few trips to the shop rite and give some of you a lift to help me bring in the bacon on that grill! ^_^
Every year we have a wonderful time at my BBQ's, i have some videos from other years i want to put together, including this year as well. I'll edit it and post it on youtube to show everyone who doubts the BBQ'S what fun they're missing out. The people who were there the other years know what i'm talking about. ^_^

-NY FURS NEWS-
Our FA page is back in our control after having trouble getting the verification code. It wasn't being sent to me via email after many attempts. The same problem haunted my FA page until an admin helped me get it back. We have many plans for the summer, but while we're still working on the exact dates, this journal will show the first meet for this month. Feel free to make your own meet and we will announce it!

How to get there?
From manhattan- take 1-2-3-4-5-6 or R train to statenisland ferry, the ferry is FREE, take it to staten island then go to terminal B to the left of the docking station at the main hall, then take the bus s51 to midland beach stop.
From brooklyn- Take the s79 from 4rth ave and 86th street to staten island Hyland Blvd and midland ave stop, once off the bus go down midland ave towards the side of the mc donalds and gas station, all the way down to the beach area.
In general there is a big parking lot, to the right of the parking lot is the BBQ area. We will put up a sign on our table to help you find us. ^_^
REQUIRED- i'm brining my grill, all the accessories for it as well as the charcoal and cups and plates and ketchup and mustard. I'll even supply speakers for the music! I cannot afford everything else, so i ask you guys to bring me THE MEEEAAAATTT!!!! I'll need sausages, hotdog buns, Burger patties, burger buns, ribs, chicken, stuffed peppers, chips, soda, bring it all, never too much food! I'll cook it up!, If you need the store, its 4 blocks away and they should have most of that, if not ill make a few trips to the shop rite and give some of you a lift to help me bring in the bacon on that grill! ^_^
Every year we have a wonderful time at my BBQ's, i have some videos from other years i want to put together, including this year as well. I'll edit it and post it on youtube to show everyone who doubts the BBQ'S what fun they're missing out. The people who were there the other years know what i'm talking about. ^_^

NYC Furmeet - HIGH LINE
Posted 9 years agoHey all, your superhero bear here with another furmeet for March following our movie meet for Zootopia to which many are probably still watching for the first or second or third showings. Our next location will by the High Line which doubles as a throwback meet in honor of our previous admin 
from last year that we'll do once again now that the weather is finally getting warmer to welcome in Spring.
-Location: High Line
-Area: West 30th Street & 10th Avenue
-Date: Saturday March 26
-Time: 2:00 PM
-Trains: 1, 2, 3, A, C, E, N, Q, and R to 34th Street

We'll meet at the entrance and walk along the path toward Union Square on 14th Street. We'll be doing a LOT of walking, so put on some good shoes and let's have some fun! If anyone ask, I believe fursuit partials are allowed. Just take a look at this previous group photo as proof and how the first meet turned out.

has posted this on our NY Furs Facebook Page a couple of days ago to which, anyone who has a FB account following the page, have already seen by now.

Posted 9 years agoHey there this is your co-admin zephyrhero here with an update for this Saturday's meet at Nintendo NYC in Rockefeller Center for Pokemon Day celebrating 20 years of our beloved electric mouse and his 700+ friends and still haven't caught them all.
The official Nintendo NYC Twitter Page just announced the schedule for the event. However, the schedule they have in place might pose difficulties in trying to get inside the store to join the festivities.

In order to get one of the colored wristbands that determines what time you can enter the store, one would need to be at the store around 9 AM when they begin distributing said wristbands and not a lot of people are 'early birds' or morning people. It won't be until 3 PM when all guest who didn't get wristbands can enter from 3-5 PM.
Me and bigztehwuff would like your feedback on how should we go about this, so sound off in the comments!
