Hi there everyone, I've got some good news about the shipping of TMK.

I managed to ship some copies of Too Many Kobolds (24 actually) to a friend in the US  BlackTolfgan who will then take care of shipping each pre-order to people in the US & Puerto Rico (for now, Canada post is on strike so please wait and see, I'll keep you updated about it as soon as I can). Unfortunately, this comes at a pretty expensive price, between the extra step added for Tolf who needs to send you all the games and the lovely tariffs which I have to take care of (at least, I only have to pay them once when I ship first to the US).

Basically, this adds approximately 10 EUR to each order.

I will take care of it all. People who pre-ordered the game and its expansion will receive them. I'll ship 100-200 boxes to Tolfgan directly so he can start shipping them after receiving them.

BUT, you can help me cover it, if you want, and if you can. I hate asking for money. But if you want, and/or if you pre-ordered the games from me, you can send 5 or 10 EUR to me on my kofi. The money will be used to cover the customs, and cover the stamps and envelopes for Tolfgan.

Hello everyone, small update about the shipping of 'Too Many Kobolds'.

I made good progress with the shipping of pre-orders. However, the situation with the US is pretty dire, and it's likely going to cost me an extra 2000 euros just to cover the shipping there.

I won't lie, at the moment, I don't have the funds for this. I'm going to crunch on commissions this month and any single euro that doesn't get used for taxes is going to get used to finish shipping the games.

I have also put the games on my ko-fi and sumup shops, but only for EU, UK & Switzerland (includes France of course) because at the very moment it's the only thing I know how to deal with.

My grandfather, Jean, passed away this afternoon. He was a general practitioner, a huge model train maker and collector, and also a big SF and fantasy fan. We used to watch Star Trek and Star Wars together, and we went to the theater back in the days to watch the LotR movies.
I will miss him dearly. I am proud to have been able to show him my games and 'Too Many Kobolds'. He was also greatly interested in Kobold Adventures. I'm sorry he won't get to see the finished game.

Sadly, he had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for several years, and it greatly diminished him.

I will take a bit of time off to take care of my family and my grandma.

Yesterday it was my birthday.

Thanks to the people who sent me a message or drew me a picture :) you really made my day brighter. Otherwise the weather was so bad and the current world news are so terrible it wasn't a very great day at first.

I keep working on my games and commissions. I am still looking for an apartment.

This month has been a bit slower while usually it is my favourite season... I hope it improves soon

Since the end of April I've got a new teaching mission which is very tiresome. The school is in a remote area (1h by car every day) and the schedule is not great at all. This leaves me with little to no free time to work on new art. And when I do get free time, I use it to prepare the envelopes to ship my game Too Many Kobolds.

I am also having issues with some packages not being delivered and it has been a pain to deal with over the past weeks.

The mission will last until July the 7th. I hope I will manage to get some rest until then. And if O cannot catch up with shipping, I will close my form for new orders.

Not a lot of activity here lately. Last month was complicated because my grandpa who is 90 got hospitalized with water in his lungs and stayed there for three weeks. He's back at his home now, but quite diminished. I am keeping my fingers crossed that his health gets better and that he recovers from this.

I also got called for a new job position as a physics and chemistry teacher in highschool. The beginning was very, very sudden and rough as they called me at the very last minute (read, they called me in the afternoon to start the next morning, not knowing what the programs were, not knowing what lesson the kids were currently doing, etc.) but I managed to get through the first two weeks.

This job position is something I had been looking for to complete my art activity and keep saving more money in order to possibly get a loan and buy my own place. This sudden start made a big mess in my art schedule (I have 3 games in the making in addition to commissions, owed art and personal art). But had I said "no" or "can you call again later plz", they would have scratched my name off their list and I would have been unable to ever find a job as a teacher again.

Until I find a correct life balance between all these activities, I will not take new commissions. I will of course finish the current projects and already started works and commissions, but I feel like I'm a bit overwhelmed currently.

I have closed orders for potions and badges undefinitely. These were not performing well lately anyway.

In other news, I have signed the quote for the manufacturing of my first card game, Too Many Kobolds. First edition will come in 1000 pcs, and should be available around May-June 2023 :) I'll give more info about preorders soon.

I also have some TF sketches and sequences I will try to upload around christmas. They are not all coloured, but I hope you will enjoy them.

Today the kobold is leveling up, ready to keep doing more art for the year to come :)

I am currently having a talk with a game manufacturer to get my first kobold boardgame printed. Things are getting real!

Also, in order to keep developing my art and the kind of products I can craft, I would like to buy a new printer. It will cost about 600 EUR, but it will allow me to do my own prints, and also foil printing (you know, when the prints/objects have these pretty metallic decorations on them)

I have recently reached 13,000 watchers on this page and I am extremely thankful for all the support It is incredible and I am forever thankful. I still want to organize a raffle at some point but lately I am a bit too busy with all the commissions and current projects

I want to personally thank the people who support me by sending shinies here or on my ko-fi page. It helps me a lot to live off my art and I cannot thank you enough to allow me to do so.

About art and projects:

- The kobold boardgames are shaping up nicely. The rules are done, now I am writing the adventure book and I started working on the final illustrations.

- I am still going through the commission queue. I am not extremely happy with how slow I have been. A lot of slots are rather big projects and they take me a lot of time and energy, ending up having people in the queue wait for longer than what I wanted originally. I will soon update my price list to address this issue (this doesn't apply to people who are already in the queue).

- I might offer some YCHs in the future, as I have a lot of sketches and doodles which would benefit from being shown around. I have also a lot of sketches I want to colour and I am currently working on new badges and products to show you all.

And last but not least..
- I need to move to a new place. So, starting this september, I will try to save as much money as possible in order to do so. I will need about 40k EUR. For you, it doesn't change anything. But now, you know that whenever you commission me or support me, it helps me reach this goal :) I want to get my own place where I could have a workshop room, where I could work on illustrations and also new crafts and products, without invading the living room or the bedroom.. To have my own place would save me a lot of distractions, and it would also allow me to have guests and be more comfortable with having people come visit me, to have dinner, have a (TF) drink or also playtest my games.

I do not like paywalls and subscription based systems, so I will never set a patreon page and hide my stuff there. This is not a model I appreciate and I never want to do that to my viewers. I think we all pay enough subscriptions and taxes each month and I'd much rather have people support me once by purchasing products or buying commissions from me :)
