Does anyone have an opinion on this? I BELIEVE I'm generally permitted to do so without permission on account of the rights to the work not being purchased. But i really do like to ask because I feel like I'd be a little miffed if someone was selling prints of a commission I'd bought.

We got in around 10AM on Friday. Me and Angie proceeded to flip out because we needed to REGISTER and SIGN-UP for Artists Alley somehow within an hour. The reg line was at least an hour long. We heard from one staffer that we HAD to reg first in order to sign-up. Then we heard from another staffer that we could sign-up and come back to reg for the con.

Needless to say, I did what I'd done previous years. I went and spoke to Duncan to find out for sure. He told us we could sign up, but we had to be back at 11AM sharp for the lottery. That meant we had to rush to the car (which wasn't parked at the hotel yet, but the garage down the street we always park in), get our art shit and then get back to the convention center. We slipped into the AA sign-up room with THIRTY SECONDS to spare. It was amazing.

We both got in, but we still had to reg. We could only leave our tables open for thirty minutes tops before they'd pass them off to someone on the waiting list. But a very understanding Dorsai let us through the Sponsor line to register.

And all was well.

I recouped my registration pretty quickly. A nice, full-color two person image. I sort of undersold myself on my more normally expensive pieces because I was aware of what other people were charging. And I didn't overload myself with work, and that was helpful. I finished all but one little art card at the convention and that was only because I needed to double-check with the customer and he never came back by my table again. Ah well.

Most of the con, when not sitting in AA or fagging in the room, was spent wandering around. TJ and I spent Saturday together, since I didn't do AA. We found an awesome deli down the street that has amazing pistrami sandwiches. Bought some little trinkets (Rat pins, pin from Tomhoshino) and some cheap prints (little pea rat, $1 prints from PsuedoManitou). Bidded on some stuff in the art show (naked rat, crows, nakey bat lady). Saw OPOSSUM. Chatted with people and wandered about.

We went swimming on Saturday and hung out in the hot tub for a bit. Bummed around in the Zoo a lot. Sat in the room and watched bad HBO and fagged about things.

Talyn brought delicious Everclear and OJ. :3

Saw a lot of people, but didn't really get to hang out with anyone this year. Maybe that's what was different. Ran into Silvermoon, Cajun, Talyn, Coffinberry, Skech, Blue, Ivy, Vera, Mar, Tresch, Aisling (holy shit was that a surprise!), etc., etc. I didn't run into Karn this year! Usually we end up wearing similar shirts and have a good laugh about it.

I think, for next year, we're all going to plan ahead. We're also considered a dealer's table. Since they're only $75 and they include your admission. I just wish I could get some merchandise stock or something. I hate having to only do commissions and conventions.

WE GOT A ROOM AT THE WESTIN!!

So, it's official. Myself, keeperofdreams, squeeji, Squeeji's BF and advienga will all be there, rooming together, being faggots.

Planning on getting there Friday morning. I want to be there early enough to get into Artist Alley, but we can't check into our room until after 12PM, I think. I'll have to double check. Either way, leaving some stuff in the car for a few hours isn't going to be the end of the world.

But I kinda need to try and get AA both days so I can recoup and profit. Hopefully. :V

I don't know where all I'll be, probably AA and the Zoo. I know we're planning on doing some other stuff in Pittsburgh while we're there, the Andy Warhol Museum and the History Museum are on our list, whenever we can fit them in. :X

And then...pack and do laundry and all sorts of stuff.

It's a good thing I work best last minute and under pressure.

squeeji and advienga will also (god willing) be with me in AA (we're pretty confident we'll be able to get in, considering it's bigger this year). They're planning on doing sketches and such, as well. advienga is bringing some older originals, as well.

I'm not planning on bogging myself down with commission work. There's some things outside of the convention I'd like to do, as well. And I don't want to be up until the wee hours of the morning trying to get things done.

I just hope my muse sticks around instead of fleeing like it does every con and I can never draw anything while I'm there.

None of the con hotels. Possibly the Hampton, if not, outside if the immediate convention area. I didn't exactly plan ahead in terms of hotel space. But that's alright.

Other cons I may go to:
AC's really the only furry one I'm able to make on account of living only two hours away. I also staff a local comic con, though.

I'm planning on mostly doing away them them after Anthrocon. They simply take me too much time and they never come out as good as they should. I'll be doing digital badges mostly, traditional badges will be reserved for at-con sales and special promotions and stuff like that.

I'm just...really not happy with them. And I've been working quicker digitally lately. Plus, digital badges just look nicer and I can get all the colors right.

My finances took a bit of a hit on account of a stupid mistake on my part.

I'm unsure how definate Anthrocon is looking (see, whenever I plan ahead, things always hit the fan!), but I'm going to try and make it possible.

I'm open for commissions, if people are interested. I'd prefer to do some quick digital ones, as I can work on those between doing traditional badges and sketches and such. And my digital sketching and inking is pretty quick (we see how fast I've churned out stuff in Sai lately!). So if you're interested, please +note me and we can talk. Digital stuff will run a bit cheaper, as there's no original copy to send or anything.

Other than that, I'm pulling my hair out trying to find a new job before Anthrocon. I know I'll recoup and profit some at the convention (provided I can make it), but I'm going to need something steady. Obviously.

I'm down to two to three days at work right now. My last check was barely over $100. I need to bring in a little extra money so I don't end up starving or something. I mean, I've got food right now, and my critters have food, but food doesn't last and money is still needed for other things.

I am working through my current queue. I know people are waiting and I honestly didn't want to take on more before I whittled my current list down, but it looks like I'm going to have to go against that and take some on anyhow.

I'm still open for all my regular stuff, which is found in my commission info here. But I'm also going to be offering these:

Smaller, full color digital pieces. Like steady as she goes. Hips/waist up, colored in Sai and all that fun stuff. These'll be $30, which is much cheaper than most of my digital stuff is going for at the moment.

And, on keeperofdreams' suggestion, I'm going to offer Victorian dress commissions. Basically, your character in Victorian garb. Just sketches, but I'm going to be charging $25 for them, considering the level of detail.

On that note, I'll be dropping sketches to $15. Because people really seemed to like them the last couple times around.
