As for my current queue of commissions? I thank everyone for being so patient with me. I know many of you haven't even seen sketches yet, and I apologize. My mental capacity hasn't been up to par lately (many many reasons for that). And it's not an excuse, but it's making it a pain to even work up the motivation to care about things most days. My commission list included.

Slowly making my way through commissions. I know a lot of you are probably getting impatient and I TOTALLY understand. I'll make it worth your while and probably toss a little something extra in when they get sent out eventually. The last month kinda sucked. Half of it was spent without air conditioning and in 80F+ weather. The rest of it was spent WITHOUT HOT WATER. Seriously. No hot water. The water heater completely died and it took FOREVER to get it replaced. It sucked. So hard.

On top of that, we lost two ratties. Two are sick (but hanging in there). We had to take back a rabbit we adopted out to someone because he is infested with fleas and living on six inches of piled hay and filth.

Work has been kicking my ass. Been working a lot of 8+ hours days lately. I need to buy new insoles for my shoes, because they've been killing me.

I've been suffering some bizzare paranoia that I'm attributing to bizzare paranormal causes I haven't quite placed yet.

And we had a FUGITIVE RECOVERY AGENT banging at the door this morning looking for some guy the neighbors said came here last night and has been staying here. I explained that no one of that name has ever been here and I'd never seen the guy in the picture. I told him the situation here and then discovered that he used to live here. Which means it was the guy that wrecked the place before leaving and owes our 'landlord' a bunch of money. Cop seemed cool with it, did a quick check of the house, and then went on his way.

So, yeah. That's been about it.

There's a few commissions I wasn't able to even think about working on because all the the references were on FA while it was down. So I'll have to play catch up on those.

Overall, had an awesome time, despite being sick with a headcold. Saw all the awesome people I usually see and a few new ones. Made a little money, as well!

Now that I'm home I have a lot of the originals I had in the Artists Alley leftover (meaning: all of them). I'm going to see about making them all pretty and matted, so keep an eye out for those. If what's been dumped in my checking account is my paycheck, I only have $180. This can't be right. I worked two weeks prior to this week's payday. I should have two weeks pay. This is only ONE week's pay.

On top of that, I have to put something on my credit card. I'm over my limit by $100 and that's so not even cool it's not funny. I wasn't able to pay anything on it because of the move and the fact that, well, I didn't HAVE the money to pay on it. Which is my fault, but food comes before paying things I can pay off later.

But, even still, I'd like to start getting it back into the positive.

I'll have to call the bank and see what I can do. I'm hating getting hit with the overlimit fees. If those would go away, I could get it down under it's $500 limit no problem.

I just feel...kind of defeated. I'm now really pissed because I can't afford AC in any feasible way. I have to send out badges and hope to god they get to people before the convention. I have to miss out on seeing friends and all that fun shit.

Plus? I already got those days off work. So I only have two full workdays next week.

Overall, I want to cry. I busted my ass to make sure things would transition smoothly once we got back here. That I wouldn't be out of work for long and I cound start fixing up my finances. But that obviously didn't happen. I was out of work for over a month (including the move), all of my funds were tapped getting here, including our tax refund things. Which could've paid off most of my credit card.

None of my shit is selling and I just want to throw my hands up and say 'fuck it all' because I'm obviously moving backwards instead of making ANY headway.

It's been hot as balls recently where I live, so I haven't got a whole lot done art-wise, unfortunately. Plus, I've been working and that takes up a chunk of my time.

I'm working on getting badges done first, as Anthrocon is swiftly approaching (and I'm still not solid on wethere or not I'll be actually attending), so those need done first.

I still have things I have to ship out. Not all of my art stuff has been unpacked, so I have to make sure I haven't forgotten anything (which I likely have).

Full commissions (anything that's not a badge, essentially) will be worked on once badges are done. I have a few sketched out and a few that are ready to be inked. So things are coming along slowly.

Be patient with me, guys. Everything will get done, I just need a bit of time.

We've made it to South Dakota, to hang with our buddy Squeeji. We'll probably be here a few days (she wants us to stay for her graduation and we might go see Iron Man this weekend), mostly to wait for some more money to come through.

The drive so far hasn't been bad. It's been a drive. We've stopped twice and, unfortunately, lost two of our brood. Our tiny dwarf rat, S'mores (who was old to begin with) and our bearded dragon, Taylor. The latter we're most confused about, because he's only four or five years old (they can live to be fifteen plus). But, well, there's not a whole lot that can be done at this point. Sadly.

But all the other critterlings are doing well.

We'll be back in Ohio...sometime. XD We're not rushing or trying to bust our asses to get there now that we're in SD at the moment. But I am eager to get home, on account of the fact I get to decorate a house!! :D
