Update
General | Posted 11 years agoGuess I should update. The past 2-3 months have been terrible in regards to my family. Too much junk to air out on here, but it has been trying and depressing. Monday my paternal grandmother passed and it hasn't quite hit me yet.
Extended family acted rather poor leading up to this.
I have no idea if I will get back into the groove of posting art on here or deviantart. I am truly sorry to those who have been let down by this.
I am relieved that my schooling is progressed as far as it has, because I cannot do this for much longer.

Prismacolor Markers for sale
General | Posted 12 years agohttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl.....m=281261299947
I've decided to sell my prismacolors. Haven't used them in a year, but they all work. So yuh.

Financial Pickle. Commissions open.
General | Posted 12 years agoAs the title states, we have a small pickle on our hands. Hubband's Saturn had been out of commission for the past year. It needed a new engine, starter, other fancy mechanical things. We have that all paid for, its good there. But the extra it ended up costing more than we had budgeted. Far exceeding.
All this is whatever, but the timing is terrible. I have yet to purchase my access code for getting into my accounting homework. Our pay will cover it on Monday, but the homework is also due Monday in the morning and of course, I need to work on it prior.
The code is $148 and after rent is taken out (conveniently on Sunday.. Beh) I have maybe $11 of that.
Woes of a seasonal job, and unexpected loss of scholarship. (So yeh. Semester is totally out of pocket this time around. Fraag)
To boot, there is plenty of work in the greenhouses. They just don't plow well at our apartment complex and driving was very limited during these heavy snow falls. And subzero isn't conducive to water sterilization process of plastic plug trays.
Sooo. All of my commissions are open, as well as a sketchbook commission listed on my furbuy. I have a few slots open, particularly badges that I have a relatively quick turnaround with [a badge can take 2 hours, and I've had them posted in under two weeks.]
As I am in a time crunch, this will be a quick turnaround and I will do my damnedest to finish things within the month of Feb.
I appreciate any interest and even looking.
Thanks fellahs!

No Subject
General | Posted 12 years agoI really want to eat some elk right now. That sounds like it would be nice to have.
But dangit there is no elk left.
AT LEAST IN NOVEMBER I CAN EAT MOOSE. THANKS DAAAD.
Going to see Shinedown in August with Skillet. I'm pretty much happier than crap.
Last concert I've been to was Skillet in fact, back at the close of 2009. Dang man. It's been a while.
I nuked my 1300 submissions because I suck as a watcher and wanted a fresh slate.
I have nothing else.

Retaking this Artist quiz because growth.
General | Posted 12 years ago- What sort of artist would you most identify yourself as? -
Most definitely a marker artist, specializing in stylized illustration. (am capable of realism, but I bore of it easily..)
- What would be your secondary identity? -
I would love to have a good digital style, but as it lays I'm alright with writing.
- What forms of art do you dabble in, but don't excel at? -
Painting.. I can do it, it just takes a long time. Clay sculpting. I can do it, but I get frustrated and it takes five times longer than I would like. I often get bored of it before I finish.
Writing is more of a hidden form. I've written over 500 pages of manuscript to a story I've been working on...but yanno... reliable editing partners are hard to come by. I've been through a few.
- How would you describe your 'style'? -
I don't really have a single word for it. I like to use multiple references to create my own poses, and have at least believable anatomy. Some features are exaggerated and anthropomorphized. And I've had a few people tell me that my style of coloring is very bright. Probably too bright at times.
- What medium do you favor most? -
Alcohol markers. I'm a big saver when it comes to money. I like to save. save. save. But when it comes to markers...
- What medium do you need the most improvement in? -
My makeup skills. By non-internet uncultured people, (i.e.; crazy aunts and concerned grandmothers.) I'm pretty decent. But I would truly love to hone the skill more, and I will need to for my career path.
- What medium do you WANT to see yourself improve with, the most? -
Digital. I want to nail a style down instead of floundering around every time I got to use photoshop.
- What are your favorite subject matters? -
"I'd say dogs, but I love drawing people the best. Theres only so much I can do drawing a four-legged dog, but a person - I can turn that into a comic that doesn't involve some BloodyBloodTeethFang Pack going to war with CrimsonThing Pack like every dog comic I've ever seen." Leaving this from the last time I took it.
I would love to draw people the most, but I am struggling very much with them lately, so dogs are my comfortable thing. If all you see me draw is my fursona, you know I'm going through a funk.
- What are your least favorite subject matters? -
Contrary to my last time taking this quiz, I don't hate cats. I flip out over kittens that I can hold...I love other people's cats (sometimes). I just don't like to take care of my own (that's not saying I have a cat that's not being taken care of right now. I don't have a cat.) But I enjoy drawing them.
Same as last time, I would love to draw a majestic fierce Dovah, but everytime I sit down and draw dragons...it's like a horse with spines. The experience for me is painful.
- List your Artistic Strengths -
Strengths are my visual memory. My art professors through the years have told me that I am lucky that I only have to study something for a few moments and then spew it out into paper. I'm fairly versatile with what I can draw, like humans, many types of mammals and I've even drawn a few cars in my time. Helps me fight stagnation.
- List your Artistic Weaknesses -
I'm working on my basic anatomy, but it's still challenging. Currently, human faces are the biggest thorn in my side. I also have a lot of trouble finishing work. If I don't finish it quick, it seems I wont at all.
- Which of the above weaknesses would you most like to see improve? -
Probably the first one, because everything will improve with that.
- Adult Content. . . yes/no? -
Mostly a no. For one, I'm squeamish with a lot of things in that nature. Second I'm really only comfortable with where tame goes.
- Adult Subject Matter you favor? -
Perhaps it's a little less than adult, but I'm all for heavy make out/petting stuff. I can draw a boobs (somewhat comfortably...) but the actual repro organs are just...I don't really think they're that neat for me to draw.
- Schooling/Training received in the arts? -
I've taken the standard high school arts and I have some collegiate training in Fine Art, Graphic Design (dropped this class :C ) and Stage Makeup.
- Schooling/Training you'd still like to have? -
My college offers few classes, but when I transfer to the Wayne State, I'll see what they offer.
- Would you consider yourself prolific, or a 'quality over quantity' sort of artist? -
"As a deviantART user - I have felt the pangs of drawing a dog standing there and it getting a gazillion faves and comments, and then spending hours on a landscape detail heavy human piece and getting less faves than I have fingers on one hand. When it gets me down, I draw a lot to try and garner some recognition. I feel like a sell out when I do that. So I try to take the quality approach."
Leaving this. It's unchanged mostly. Judging by how often I actually upload, I tend to only upload when I feel something is worth seeing.
- Would you considering yourself a Fine Artist, or a Commercial Artist? -
I'd love to have more free lance work, but I'm not either of the listed.
- Where would you like to be in five years? -
If I could improve as much as I have since 2008 until now, I will be happy.

Badges and Full Body Commissions Open
General | Posted 12 years agoGot some commissions up on my FurBuy ^^^.
Five slots for badges, five slots for taxidermic badges and one full body.
I'm close to finishing all of my older commission work and some I just need an address to mail them. But. MAn. Copics make fast work. I wish I bought those instead of Prismas back in 2005. :p
UM.
I had a nephew born today I guess at like...four AM?
Mac is his name and I'm sure he looks like a grubbly thing at the moment, but I'm glad it's a boy. Tommy (other nephew, who has been the reigning champion of everyone's heart for the past four years) will be elated.
Congrats Renoodle and NIck!

Carnival of Madness. SexyMmish??
General | Posted 12 years agoWho's going to see Shinedown in August??
This guy! Gawsh. Haven't been to a concert since I saw Skillet back in 2009. Seeing them again now. Heh neat.
BUT FELLAHS.
I'm strongly considering makin a ladder type commission set in something like a PoconoPalace/CoveHaven kind of resort room (with round bed. starlights. or champagne glass whirlpool tub. wut.) With some slightly steaminess going ons.
Gotta get a sketch going. But yeah. That's something I think would be fun to give a go with.
Maybe I'm going to upload something today. Farm's busy season is officially over and I have some days off again, and shorter hours. At least until August.
I WANT TO DRAW PEOPLE BUT IT'S DANGED HARD AND I CAN'T GET IT FOR SOME REASON RIGHT NOW.

General | Posted 12 years agoI'm famous for this stuff, but I've been preeeettty avoidant of sites that I can't easily check on my phone since March. Combination of tests, lack of inspiration, and computer power cord shorting a few weeks ago. I don't even know why man. Just forgot to login or whatevers. It's lame.
So dangit. I'm going to check some things now and oops.
I probably have some things to upload when I get home from my mom's.
I dunno bro. I dunno.
Just got a new charger, so yaaah. Back in business.

General | Posted 12 years agoSo we had our spring break this week, and I utilized that time to get tons of hours at the farm. Probably planted some obscene thousand of leetle 4.5" pots of begonias, impatiens, pseuderanthemum, salvia, callibrachoa, and lots of other lots of things. Plus Lilies. Errybody got time for lilies.
Tragic. The bulb company never sent us our Dark Star black Calla Lilies. Dangit maybe next year.
And heh. one of our Million Bells callies is called Vampire. ;3
And we added 13 new varieties of tomatoes to trial. Last year we had Great Whites. They're pale yellow and delicious. Kind of banana-y. And a colorful, mini, sweet bell pepper called Yummy Mix. They were like candy.
Being one of the largest heirloom tomato retailers in the region if now the whole state does have it's perks.
Blah blah agriculture.
So after getting home yesterday I was able to chip out of five separate commissions and three personal pieces. I think I won my day there.
But three of my Copic neutral greys are finished with me. So I have to make a DickBlick.com order. Which means I have to put together a big enough order to make the shipping worth it.
And yay. Dallas will be a year old next month. Big nosed liddle puppy face bebe. <3

Stuff
General | Posted 12 years agoSo in part, this is to alert any commissions who follow me that I have not worked on hardly anything this week.
We had a death in the family, and it was a super tragic one. He was my dad's best friend and truly like an uncle (brother-in-law's uncle actually, so by a stretch). Kind of hit our whole family pretty hard.
But he was a great man and we all have fantastic memories of him. I'm just very thankful that he was such a good friend to my dad for these past six or so years.
---
In a lighter note, in a little over a week I'll have been marriaged for a year. Go team.
And um.
urg. come on Rebecca...find your silver lining to the week...fiiiind it.
Andrew bought me ten bananas last night.
And Mass Effect 2 is the most fun tastic game oh gosh.
eh. Next week will be better. It's spring break so I can actually put in a lot of work hours. And that's good.
signing off. boop!

Updates
General | Posted 13 years agoI updated alla my examples in my commissions journal.
Gosh man. I'm really fawning over crayola pencils right now. Markers are great, but I'm feeling pretty at home using my lost lost favored medium.
I'll be uploading some old things to my archive account today I think. Maybe things from 2002. :3

I'm going over to my mum's house today and we're making crafts or soemthing.
I think i'll color.
I have so much finished right now, but I seem to never use a scanner. So oops. I'll work on that.

what's my age again.
General | Posted 13 years agonobody likes you when you're tweeenty threeeee.
So my fA says I'm twenty-three. I was only 21 like...three months ago.
I think once I turned 19 I perpetually forgot my age, but never have I miscalculated that I was older than my actual age.
Suppose I should fix that.
My favorite blunder of the day.
I'm like super thirsty.
Like ravenously thirsty.
I don't really know why man.
I COLORED SOMETHING BETWEEN CLASSES TODAY AND IT WAS FUN. OH MY GOSH.

Alt account
General | Posted 13 years agoI had a thought and it would horrify me to know that someone claimed 'MorgueMonster' on here, so I claimed the name. I knid of want an archive account or a guesty-art account. IDK something. So I snagged that.
Last year I made a goal to draw every single day in january, at least a sketch or inking something. I succeeded save for two days. This year I gave myself a grace day per week, and I'm taking it through February. I've used up three of my grace days so far. But it was slow at first, but bam. I drew like four things yesterday. I have badge commissions I'm working on, and some trades. And a crap ton of Odille. One of the days i even crafted a Kindle case that looks like a book (a shitty book mind you) but I'm proud. Like suddenly yesterday, I wasn't just forcing myself to draw. It became fun again.
And. Breaking Bad.
Enough said. Started watching it yesterday too.
Never want to stop.
School is awesome. For me, it was mistake to go directly after graduation. I failed half of what I took (by not attending or just dropping out). It had no path whatsoever. It was like high school, only in college the teachers didn't chase you down or care whether you were doing your work.
Having taken a break of two years, I have a specific career goal. I applied at the school newspaper and secured a hefty scholarship in doing so. I get to all of my classes early and I finish my homework promptly. And I'm befuddled that the kid who sits near me in both my on-campus classes, sleeps through them. Now that I'm older and more mature with studies, I'm amazed that you would pay for something only to sleep. But hey, I was in that exact place too.

Art Trades
General | Posted 13 years agoArt Trades sound absolutely fantastic right now.
Finding any inspiration has been draining. Inside my head, there are tons of ideas until I go to work with them.
My work schedule will be pretty light through the next four months while I'm in class, which will leave me a bit more drawing time I hope.
I think I'm going to make a toast for eats and then sit on the floor with draws now.
Maybe I'll draw a pony...
Bleghgh.

Dogs..
General | Posted 13 years agoYup. I like oranges.
Starting school again in a few weeks. After my 2 1/2 year hiatus, I'm glad to be returning and with motivation and direction.
My puppy is annoying. He's adorable, and I remember Indy was pretty annoying when he was a baby...but dang. Dallas is just something else. He's like some demented fox-coyote who stares at you and then squirms all over. I love him to pieces, but he's just so weird.
INDY IS FOUR TODAY. I miss him and want some snugs from my Frankenstein <3
Ending of October, I went to stay at my mom's house. Andrew and my dad were in Wyoming, and my mom was leaving with my aunts for a cruise. Sooo. My aunts were using the guest beds (which exist only recently now. Empty nesters.) I slept on the living room floor. Instead of sleeping in his own bed upstairs, Indy slept on the floor with me. Dallas had his crate.
I tried to introduce Dallas to sleep in my bed when Andrew left the first night. All he did was stand on my chest and stare at me. Then wriggle around and pounce on me again.
So when my mom and aunts left, Indy and got one of the guest beds. <3 Nothing like a large gundog sleeping on your legs and making you toast. 75lb heating blanket.
Dallas is a good 16-17pounder now I'd say. He's so darn obedient but he's just.... words don't hold water with him. He's just. Wut.
blabahbhbhbh.
dood. We're having internet issues ATM, so there is a chance it may disappear for a while. Hopefully not, but maybe.

General | Posted 13 years agoSorry. I guess social anxiety works over the internet too.
I seriously am incapable for talks. Like in person, a guy a Little Ceasers asked if I wanted a bag to put my 2 Liters in. I said "Sure. Thanks." And he says in some flirt voice "It's a dollar a bag, but I'll give it to you half off." I said like a mechanical simulator "How about...I just pay...regular no price..."
Over the last few months I've kind of reverted into full hermit.
Sorry. :/
So IDK if anyone thought I disliked them or avoided them, but I promise I'm just terrified of conversation.

I had no internet for a while, needed to get it in our apartment.
Once I finish checking my deviantart stuff next century, I'm going to move on to here.
Speaking of apartment, mine is tiny and I absolutely love it.

Okiedokie, drawling time.

I LOVE FIBER+ BARS.
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's been a while since I've actually allowed myself to actively be on here, and deviantART for that matter.
I doubt I posted it here, but the upstairs to our house was kind of remodeled quite a bit. Lots of paint and lots of me being more or less exiled to a couch. Everything is complete now, to my knowledge.
My computer was fixed and returned to me the day before things started to be worked on, so lol I haven't gotten a chance to use the new OS my brother put on there. Hurp. He loaded me up with a bigger harddrive (which was the original problem, five years made the old one say buh-bye), more RAM, and the full Adobe CS5 Creative suite. Ugggghg awfumbbb. And now that i have entrance to my room, it doesn't matter anyways...I'm moving out next tuesday or something. Gonna upload some stuff with phone pictures I guess.
Um um.
Some other stuff.
Um.
So in my tiny little crap-storm I managed to lose my marker case that held all of my skin tones and junk. After like two and a half weeks, Andrew got me the copic skin tones. Urrgg. Just as I feared, I like them. Then a week later he found that his car ate my Prisma-Skintones. Win-win on it I suppose, I would have never got the copics if the others ones weren't missing.
AHNEYWAYS.
I am going to check tons of messages now, and then get back to cleaning. I'm kind of in the running for a ridiculously busy weekend. (I have no idea why I'm being so secretive about upcoming nuptials.)
OH MY GOSH. MY SISTERS STEPHIE AND RENEE THREW ME A BACHELORETTE PARTY WITH ENDLESS SUPPLY OF SMIRNOFF AND HAD A 'KARAOKE SPECIALIST' THERE AND WE ALL SANG SONGS TILL OUR BRAINS EXPLODED AND I HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL DRUNKED EVER AND OLD SONGS ARE GREAT. YES.
MESSAGES NOW. STARTING WITH SUBMISSIONS. BAM.

HOLY WRIST PAIN BATMAN.
General | Posted 14 years agoYesterday was the wedding shower of ManMan and I, and it was awesome. I have a family full of generous people (and bright green and bright blue plates). But I'm at my sister's house, and I spent all day writing thank you notes to mail sometime this week. I'm only halfway done and not only does my wrist hurt from writing, but my neck is not feeling like sunshine.
But. I want to invite a bunch of people over now and make them pancakes. I have everything we need for pancakes guys. <33333 paaanclocks.
And lol, some of my coworkers from the farm were there. 93 year old Mary (who comes by to help plant and owns a farm just down the road from ours) and her two daughters (60 somethings) who are at our farm through planting season-flower season. I love them. And they may or may not have been convincing my dad that Indy should go with me when I move out. Kehehe. My favorite part of the farm is hanging out with old ladies. That's neat.
So after a forced two-day hiatus from arting, I am reaaaallly thrilled to do some drawing tonight.
And some hardcore coloring!
I have a few badges that are really close to done.
I suppose though, I have to go buy some more paper before I start anything new. That I can see, I have one blank sheet and that's it. I probably have some that I can recycle though. Just gotta check.
And yes, my adorable three year old nephew got me a unicorn pillow pet for the shower.
(because I registered for a unicorn pillow pet for my shower. hurp)
Every time Andrew and I would open something, I would hear him across the hall shouting "YAY BOBBY!!"

Slow Down ++ Pinup Commissions
General | Posted 14 years agoArt production is kind of slowed at the moment.
Lots of stuff going on. Getting quite a few more hours at the farm; there is some irritating drama that I am only secondhand involved with that has my brain all to wired to think about much else; aaand wedding stuff is starting to become a big deal.
I decided to indulge a little, and I used the last of my christmas money from my grandma on a commission from Huskie. I'm pumped. :3
And, I'm about halfway to contacts :3
I'm really thinking about doing something a little different for a commission.
Maybe a themed thing?
I'd like to do some full body pinups. Simple color blocking background and a prop(if requested) for $15
Google search 50's Pinup Kitsch if you want clarification of what I want to do :3
Something in the vein of sexy.
Examples.
http://fav.me/d3axhl7 http://fav.me/d4o5ssc (pretend it has a background)
I'll take up to three slots if there is interest.
And, when I said I'm slowed down - I still am actively working on all of my previous commissions, so these ones will be worked on too, and not put on the back burner.
Comment on here or note me.

FINDING WHAT YOU WANTED??//FREE ARTS.
General | Posted 14 years agoThis is excellent. I had the urge to check for my badges in Andrew's closet (which still has my junk in it from before when it was my room. I'm a jerk.)
And I found EVERYTHING I was looking for.
In this little box tucked under an absolute catch-all for junk, I found not only the envelope with all my badges nice and secure, but I found old moleskine sketchbooks with cool concepts, I found a missing Zumba DVD to get FLAT ABS, ALL the birthday/anniversary/sick-feel-better cards that Andrew has given me (I knew I still had them..), and i found my Mac Startup Disk 1 (I have 2, also in Andrew's closet. But it's been on the shelf since always) that I reaally need to fix my desktop. And a bath and body works giftcard. New bodywash AWAY.
I am absolutely thrilled. Virtually all that I was trying to find just in one little box. How does that work?
I'm having me a drawing night. I'm at one of many Skyrim parties at my sister and brother-in-law's house. My turn is up for gaming on my newly made Mage file. Sooo drawing. I'm pretty excite.
Attack of the bleeding throat. Baaah. So I suppose I have another little tonsillitis or something. Nowhere near as bad as December of 09's round of tonsillitis. That was brutal. But whenever I get sick, my throat revolts against me. You should have saw it when I had chicken pox.
So. I'm gonna try something.
Post a character reference and I *might* draw it.
I will take up to five, but it's *not* first come first serve.
It may be a sketch. It may be inks. It may be color. Whatever it ends up, it will be a something. :3

WHERE YOU IS??
General | Posted 14 years agoSo I have an envelope stuffed with badges that I've received from people. Some gorgeous ones. And I do NOT know where I've put it. I have been so out of the loop with anthro drawing and this stuff that I don't know which folder I may have put it in. I know that the envelope is in my room, but I just don't know where. Baaaaah. I wants iiiit.
My sister came over to do her laundry while mine was in there. She put everything in the dryer and neglected to hang up my bright frigging green incredible bra. Now it looks like a raisin. I'm pretty upset about that. I really want to be mad at her, but baaah. It's not her fault really.
Well, in that envelope I am pretty sure that I have some older badges that I've done for people in it too. Hope I find it. You'd think it would be in my folder with all the giftart people have sent me. GUESS NOT. Baaah.
In the meantime though, I am coloring sad moping collies and about to make Mac & Cheese.
