I feel achieved. Halfway December I lost motivation to do most anything and I would sleep till 11 and I certainly couldn't be bothered to draw.

General | Posted 14 years ago- What sort of artist would you most identify yourself as? -
I skip back and forth from digital illustration to traditional. Mostly traditional. And I draw dogs, people, anthros, sometimes horses, and rarely cats. So that makes me some kind of general marker illustrator.
- What would be your secondary identity? -
If I had a neat digital style...
- What forms of art do you dabble in, but don't excel at? -
I've used clay to sculpt some things. I'm okay at it, just not practiced or diligent. Paintining. Costume Makeup
- How would you describe your 'style'? -
Caricatured realism, because I try my best to follow anatomical proportions, but everything has that look to it.
- What medium do you favor most? -
Absolute favorite is marker. Seconded by crayola pencils.
- What medium do you need the most improvement in? -
My makeup skills. By non-internet uncultured people, I do a good job - but I want to do a great job.
- What medium do you WANT to see yourself improve with, the most? -
Digital. I'm not horrible with it, but I never grasped it the way I had wanted to when I started drawing.
- What are your favorite subject matters? -
I'd say dogs, but I love drawing people the best. Theres only so much I can do drawing a four-legged dog, but a person - I can turn that into a comic that doesn't involve some BloodyBloodTeethFang Pack going to war with CrimsonThing Pack like every dog comic I've ever seen.
- What are your least favorite subject matters? -
I don't like domistic cats IRL, so I don't like drawing them. And dragons. I love dragons, and I crave the ability to draw them - but when I sit down and draw them...I hate the experience without fail.
- List your Artistic Strengths -
I've gotten good with coloring I guess, and I have been told that I do well with detail. Also, I'm not just skilled with one subject, I can kinda jump between a few things.
- List your Artistic Weaknesses -
I don't have that full understanding of anatomy that lets me pose things in non-static poses. I have that tendency to stop working on a piece in the 90% finished range. I also worry that my style may be just white noise.
- Which of the above weaknesses would you most like to see improve? -
The first one. If I get that down, then everything improves.
- Adult Content. . . yes/no? -
Mostly a no on that one. I'll go as far as the word 'tame' covers, but I personally don't want to take away from my ManMan by drawing my chara with stuff like that.
- Adult Subject Matter you favor? -
Not that steamy kissy foreplay is exactly coined as Adult, but that's great.
- Schooling/Training received in the arts? -
I've taken the standard high school arts and I have some collegiate training in Fine Art, Graphic Design (dropped this class :C ) and Stage Makeup.
- Schooling/Training you'd still like to have? -
Anything. But I just could never justify it with my almost zero off-season income atm.
- Would you consider yourself prolific, or a 'quality over quantity' sort of artist? -
As a deviantART user - I have felt the pangs of drawing a dog standing there and it getting a gazillion faves and comments, and then spending hours on a landscape detail heavy human piece and getting less faves than I have fingers on one hand. When it gets me down, I draw a lot to try and garner some recognition. I feel like a sell out when I do that. So I try to take the quality approach.

Five years ago today, I thought I couldn't improve anymore, but my anatomy needed help. Today I reached a better place than that. So in five years from today, I hope that I am well along in my skills that I can make my dream comic.

So I would like to take a few badge type commissions to take some of the edge off the $239 worth of contacts I'd need for a year, as all of my money is very tied up in grown-up junk :C
$7 for the bust-up. Optional name add-on. Anthro. Human. Colored in marker.
I will finish these within the first week of January.
They will be mailed out to you.
I do not have a lamination machine though, so that I can not do.
I'll take like 5 to start out with, then waitlist maybe.

It's endearing.
And i have a dog. He is also 2 1/2 years old. HE's a big dummy and I love him.
