Some folks have received messages from me this morning regarding Sketchpage projects that they've submitted to me in the recent month. This journal is to explain that none of the clients is personally at fault for the shelving of these projects!

I'm at a point in my financial situation where these sketchpage projects are not sustainable, and not a wise expenditure of my project time. This is a decision on my part and has nothing to do with any of my clients or their projects premises.

From today, sketchpage projects will be suspended until further notice!

Settling into the new apartment has been a breeze, but as some of you may know already - I'm now jobless!
This new development comes at a really precarious time in my life, but it comes with the huge upside of allowing me more time to spend on projects and commissions. I've been considering trying to pursue art full-time as an income, and now it seems the decision has been made for me. You may see a slight increase in the price of my projects but with all the new free time I'll have at my disposal, I'm hoping that each piece will come out at higher quality at faster speeds!

I'll be reopening my commissions formally on August 10th at 7am (EST)

As this is to provide me with essential funds for the next (however long it takes for me to find a new job x.x) I'll be enforcing a much more regimented schedule on myself.
My process has always been a rather slow one, with projects taking months to finish. I am hoping that with no wage-pay position sucking up my time and energy, I'll be able to commit more of my focus to getting these pieces pumped out as quickly as I can, without compromising quality, of course!

All prospective clients, old and new, will be sent through my commissions form to open a project with me. Once I receive your form, you'll be assigned a spot in the queue and an ETA regarding the expected starting date and finishing date of your projects!

I still plan to run a CoC Playthrough with public input, as I did with my Patrons about a year ago! I'm still working out some of the moving parts of this project, but know that I am enthusiastic and excited to do this again. The first time around was so fun that I can barely wait to do all my proper research before opening the gates and just running for it!

I also plan to run a small donation drive alongside the playthrough, so if folks would like to contribute to my work, they'll have the option to do so more available to them!

I fully intended to draw up something to announce this but I haven't had enough time this week to do that!

I've closed down my Patreon, possibly just for now, to focus on my coming move and prioritize commission work! Maybe I'll re-publish the page in the future, maybe not, I haven't made any hard decisions yet, and I'll just feel it out as we go.

As for my ongoing plans for art, I do intend to host all the projects I was going to put up on Patreon, but they'll be public this time! Things like polls for what to do with everyone's favorite animated fur boa, and a Corruption of Champions Playthrough influenced by your votes, etc.

I've only just seen the full situation and I'm deeply disappointed in the FA team for putting up such an easily abused and useless ruling. This is some disheartening news.

I intend to continue posting here, but a lot of the more recent works I've done for Patreon are depictions of ACNH characters and I think those things are absolutely gonna get flagged by people who are willfully ignorant and malicious. Make no mistake, people will absolutely use this new site policy to abuse creators who have not, do not, and will never draw anything pertaining to ""minors"" in their art. Whatever benefit this update was intended to have, it's a fallacy of logic and the victims of it will all be completely innocent people.

I'm going to end up deleting some of the more recent works from my gallery, but do please keep in mind that all of those projects and more will be posted publicly on my Patreon page from now on.

I'll be looking for alternative sites to populate with my standard gallery. If anyone who's reading knows of good-looking alt-sites, I'd really appreciate the advice!

In light of recent upheavals in my life, I have decided to explore the intrepid landscape of Patreon in search of a more robust creative career.

I want to make art, erotic art specifically, into a full-time pursuit if I can. It would allow me to focus more on my commissions workflow and also give me the ability to pursue personal smut projects without needing to find the time and energy outside of my hellscape of a workplace. I've been working on streamlining my working process to make things easier for me to keep track of, since I get comms from Tumblr and Twitter as well as FA.

For the ease of everyone, including myself, I'll be switching formats over to a Forms based commissioning system, which is still under construction atm!

I spilled coffee on my laptop and I'm a week deep into the replacement process already.
The new laptop I ordered arrived to me with a key component that was non-functional, and it will be sent back to the manufacturer

my fallback workstation is built of old and slow machines that I will attempt to make do with, but expect slow progress on comms until I can properly sort out my new computer!

My partner and I may be trying to make some big life changes soon, specifically moving to another apartment. Commission slot prices may see a slight increase to handle some of the overhead. This might not be relevant for some time, but it is something to bear in mind!

I want to genuinely thank the commissioners and watchers on this account, whether you're a regular or just the occasional visitor.

Until recently, I feel I've taken for granted that most of my usual clients are all super fantastic people who are thoughtful, patient, and kind.
As an artist who started out too nervous to show anything I drew to literally anyone, let alone charge real cold hard cash for it, let me just say that I would actually not be here doing any of this without you guys. Those first few extremely positive interactions with clients as a commission artist changed the whole game for me. You guys changed the game.

Every once in a great great while, I am reminded that not everyone who commissions artists is genuine or respectful; some of them are even blatantly malicious toward the community and even dangerous to artists.



I won't dwell for too long on the topic, but I feel I need to just mention it:
Every artist that takes online commissions is a freelancer. The prices they set for their projects are self-determined and self-enforced, and while I'm sure there are some commission prices out there that are either too low or too high for the product offered, it's none of anyone else's business what they choose to charge. Their reasons could range anywhere between: feeling out what the right price range for their work is- to "I will actually starve without the money from these projects" and none of them is obligated to explain themselves. I've been doing this for about a decade now, I've never seen an artist genuinely engage in "price gouging" as though the commission industry is a cash-grab. Doesn't mean there aren't artists out there who do, but I do strongly believe that those artists are a minority.

Especially here on FA, the majority of commission artists are simply attempting to have a good time. I don't know where the image of an absolutely loaded commission artist sitting on a mound of dimma-dollars like a dragon came from, but just choose a comms artist at random from FA and I guarantee that this individual is supporting themselves with that money. Hell, given current economic and societal issues, they might even rely SOLELY on that money for their sustenance. They're not here to steal your money or waste your time, they're (probably) fucking furries- you know what that means right? Means they're probably born in the 80s or 90s and given the generational strife implicit there; it's infinitely more likely than not that selling their art contributes to them being able to feed themselves.

I am fortunate that I'm able to keep my pricing relatively low because I have a good wage-slave job that allows me to get hands on necessities with ease - That job does absolutely kill me, like actually murders me weekly and if I decided one day to leave the hellish fucking workplace of a real world job to try on commissioned art as a means to feed and house myself, yes- those prices would need to go up.



Precious few of us become internationally recognized Patreon celebs. Most artists would just lose all independence in life without the support of Patrons and freeform commission clients. In times like these with mounting global atrocities and the ending of all things™ people in low econimic brackets needing to make more money is... hardly... news? And that extends to freelance furry porn artists, c'mon guys, fuck

If an artist you like raises their prices, try to consider the motivators before you go around shilling some rhetoric about artists being greedy internet goblins who only ever turn into evil money-eating content creators. It's incredibly harmful to both the artist community and the client community. Both of them will see you saying that shit. Artists who might very genuinely need to raise their prices to save their actual fucking lives might hesitate to do so because they don't want to be "one of thooooose artists" and clients may decide to up and write-off artists who tweak their price ranges.





I consider myself very lucky to have (somehow) been surrounded by a community of caring and lovely people who enjoy my work and have enjoyed watching my progress as an artist even though my posting is irregular af ugh so sorry
I do see you guys, and for every bad interaction I've had with clients and watchers, you guys double the good vibes in return. I hardly even notice the unfortunate experiences.

So thank you all, you make this silly little machine chug and it overjoys me to see so many of you still here, still engaging, even if I'm slow to work at times and meander with my interests.

I'm putting a freeze on commissioned projects at the moment.
