I would probably choose a furry as my "mate" yes, makes things simpler to not have to explain that part of my life to someone

Since I was about sixteen, so about five-six years
*How did you find furry?
I started drawing anthro characters when I was fifteen and then I met my first "mate" who opened up a whole new world to me.
*What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
I like drawing animals more than I do people and I like the automatic comfort I feel in a group of furries
*What's Furry to you?
An interesting hobby/part of a lifestyle
*If someone found out you're a furry and asked you about it how would you respond?
"Yeah, but I'm not like those fags you hear about all the time, I'm kinda of like 'Furry-Lite' or 'Diet Furry'."

It's amusing and terrifying at every turn.

Mostly in jest, I hardly ever place a serious tone to it when I use these

I just can't get over the idea that if you have sex in costume then you not only probably have a huge problem with your own self worth, but also that of your partner if you'd rather bang looking at a big dopey, and sometimes terribly made, foam animal head than they're actual face.
What does that say about your relationship, really.
What ever happen to the good 'ole paper bag approach? Too crinkly?

Eight Little Known Facts about Okers Warwolf

1.) The first time I put her down on paper was in my freshman year of high school. Originally she had black and red "dragon" wings, long black hair with red tips, and big bright green anime eyes. She was also balls out crazy and wore a spiked collar.
2.) For awhile, she had a sort of twin which was designed closer to how she looks now. No wings, brown hair, powder blue eyes and a much calmer, but still typical angsty teen personality.
3.) Her very first name was Rayne Kurama.
4.) I settled for Okami a year or so later because it was part of an old username from my long dead deadjournal account from back when I was super weeaboo. As time went on, my boyfriend dubbed me Oakey, which then got shortened to Oki. I sort of forgot where Okers came from.
5.) Warwolf is a Metalocalypse reference, more specifically from Toki's part of the theme song :P (Oki Warwolf, not a bumblebee~)
6.) I drew her as a red husky/wolf mix for a few months, just because at the time I felt I was better suited as a regular dog for my fursona, more specifically one the was some part wolf or just mistaken as a wolf. I decided to remain a wolf just so I wouldn't feel like I invalidated any of the gift art that's been given to me.
7.) I've always tried to keep her appearance as close to my own as I could, including weight, hair length and color, eyes, glasses, even going as far as to try to incorporate the medical scars on my forearm and hip. The freckles on her cheeks were an addition made by my boyfriend when he decided it was something that should be on my fursona as well.
8.) I don't draw my glasses on her as often as I should, I usually forget since I don't need to wear them unless I'm outside (I'm just a little nearsighted)

Posted 19 years ago...it feels like I haven't made an entry in forever
To those that have been watching since my accident, I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that I'm completely back on my feet. No wheelchair, no cane, no nothing. Just a small limp when I've over worked myself. I'm glad I can be back to my good old independent self and start walking myself to places again.
Not much else to say really other than that my home life has been horrible lately. If it weren't for my escapes with Talon, I might be insane or worse by now.
Also, I have been drawing, I just haven't found the time to update. Perhaps tomorrow I'll set aside some time to scan in some new work and show off how my style's been changing lately.

Posted 19 years agoJust to let you guys know I haven't fallen yet since I "got back up".
I'm not walking, but I am hobbling around on one foot with a cane so I'm not totally dependant on my wheelchair though I still can't actually walk. I'm healing just fine and I haven't taken my meds (a couple of hardcore pain pills) since a week after my surgery when they took out my staples and stitches.
As you can see, I haven't lost the art. It's just gotten a bit shakey.
I'll try to keep you guys updated more often.

I Ain't Dead Yet...

Apparently, things have gotten better. Oh, by the way, it's that one person she's always, always, talking about in this thing. I figure, hey, she's got a broken arm; and she made the stupid mistake of leaving her thing on automatic logon. It's practically like I'm obligated to do this.
You're probably gonna ask me, now, why wouldn't I go spew in my own damn journal? Well, because I am but a simple messenger; this is just the preamble, my simple explanation (okay, not so simple) to why I'm forced, nay, compelled to do this...and that explanation is that I can do this better than she can at this point. Both in eloquence and in my ability to type. But, enough about me. Let's get on with the message:
"Oh, I have to dictate it to you. (chuckle) So, I got into a car accident. It was late on Tuesday evening. I don't remember exactly what happpened. The entire incident is a blank spot in my mind: all I remember is the hospital. People standing over me. Many, many x-rays. I was there for a week before they let me come home; but I guess before i get ahead of myself I should mention my injuries: Five fractures in my pelvis. Two in my right forearm. I've currently got six plates in me. Still in a cast, and twenty-six staples on the right side of my stomach, though I seem to be healing well enough. Physical Therapy is going well. "On top of the class" as my physical therapist once said (yeah, no surprise there- ed.).
They don't expect me to walk for another three months, but there are others who believe that I'll be up sooner. I don't entirely doubt them. I'm being very well taken care of. I feel much more comfortable being here at home instead of the hospital; seeing the famliar faces of my family and friends, rather than the strangers that would walk in during the early hours of dawn to take more tests and check on my condition.
There isn't a day that goes by that I wish I hadn't have gotten out on bed on Tuesday; this whole ordeal has been painful for a lot of people other than myself. There's not much else to say, all that's left for me to say to you all on the nice big internet but "hello." and maybe "I'm not dead"..."
And I guess that's all she wants to say. For those of you who are keeping the porch light on; great job and keep that flame alive. For those of you who took the light down, put it back up. She'll be back on and bitching in no time. You've got my word on that one.
