Hi everyone!
I wanted to write you that I wont be able to make the Lion upgrade ( and future Avatar upgrades ) free for tho who bought an old version.
I'm really sorry and I know it will disappoint a lot of you and I assume some will think it's unfair.
Please understand that making avatars for Second Life is a really long process and requires a lot of work. The only thing I kept from the old lion is the prims for the tail, not even the texture. That must be like 1% of the whole avatar so it's hard to consider that like an "update" really. I'm fine with giving bug fixes updates for free, it's just normal, but when it's a whole new AV, I'm sorry I can't.
Sadly just like everyone else I need money to pay rent and food.

So I think you all know that since some Avatars, I started to release time limited "special colours" editions.
When I thought about starting that, I was of course sure some would ask for the limited after the time ( for various reasons ).
But I'm sometimes getting problems with them, some really don't understand that I wont sell them and are getting pretty angry about it.

Despite what many thinks. I'm not making limited editions to make more money, they sure sell pretty well but I believe most people who bought them as "limited" would have bought them if they would be "unlimited". I'm limiting them to make them more or less collector and cause the style doesn't really fit with the rest of avatars.

I thought you liked, but do you ? Would you prefer those special colours to stay for sale all the time ?


Note: In any case past limited editions will not be sold again.

After releasing the Deer I directly started working on mesh since i was quiet late compared to some other creators.
So by now this avatar's modelling is almost done. Half meshed ( It keeps SL's body ), needs textures and scripts. Sorry I wont tell you what it is because I prefer having something to actually show when I announce an avatar.

Anyway, I start to have some doubts. I didn't expect LL to be so long to react and fix their bug on some graphic cards. I also thought Phoenix would support meshes faster and I know many of you are using it.

In the end how many of you can actually see meshes ?
What am I supposed to do ? Should I continue with this av hoping everything will be fixed before the release or start another one sculpted before ?

So recently I've saw my AV copybotted quite a few times; 4 times that I know of, but overall probably more.
Due to SecondLife's system, we sadly can't do much to stop the said copybot.
( No, the so-called "copybot protection" don't work, they can't ) Since I'm not fond of snaking into people's privacy I'll not use systems like red light or however it's called.

So recently many people reported me 2 people reselling my AV in the marketplace:
- One of them was reselling also other creator's AV and parts of av. It got removed fast. Actually it got removed extremely fast.

- The other is just reselling 1 of my AV, nothing else. A friend bought it to check and be sure. Wrote a bad review saying it's copied etc. on it.
And I filled a DMCA, normal you'll say. But no, yesterday we could see the review was magically gone.
On the marketplace, to remove a comment, you must either flag it and a Linden removes it. Or you must delete and re-list your item.
Since the item ID didn't changed, that means it was not relisted, so this review was removed by LindenLab.
Do you realise that LL actually helped that person to continue selling my copied AV?
It would have taken like 10 seconds to search and see this AV was not legit. Look up for "Fennec" they are BOTH right next to the other!!!
Well I think I'm allowed to be angry at some point.

It's now some days since my DMCA got sent, but honestly my previous DMCAs gave nothing concrete so I don't have much hope in it.
For LL it always "miss" information.

You could reasonably believe that being a premium would give you better support, you know with the live chat and such. NO!
There are 2 types of answers ONLY from the live chat:
- A copy/past from the knowledge base
- "Please fill a support ticket"
Feel free to save those 10$/month if you are able to search yourself in the knowledge base or if you know how to fill a support ticket.

More clearly: If you are not friend with a Linden, they'll not help you. Is that supposed to be fair? No, of course no but who cares in the end?
Well I don't have Linden friends. So:
If you are working for LindenLab, let's be friends!! Forget what I wrote above, I love LL and I'm super friendly! Really :D

Rumors say meshes should be comming pretty soon on SL. We all know LindenLab and unless you are friend with a Linden ( which isn't my case ), impossible to have informatio; so I started to work a little on meshes in case rumors are true. But as any new system, it has pros and cons.
Also I thought this small survey would be interesting. Not only for myself but any other avatar creator.


1- What do YOU expect from meshes ?
- Low polygon, low lag avatars.
- High polygon, high detailed avatars.
- Other.

2- What kind ?
- I wants A full meshes avatar.
-Pros: It perfectly flows and there will not be any seams
-Cons: Barelly any scripted features, can't wear your old clothes, can't modify it, most regular shape settings will be be disabled.

- I want a mix between old prims/sculpts and meshes
-Pros: less seams overal, higher quality
-Cons: Less modifiable than what you currently have but you can wear your regular clothes, and as many features as you currently have.

- I want to continue with "old style" sculpties+prims
- You know pros and cons

3- When ?
- As soon as meshes gets released. I'll directly update my viewer and switch to a new avatars.
- I don't mind waiting some days/weeks.
- Never, I don't want meshes.

I know i'm too curious :D

So tell me all, what kind of legs and feet are you wearing ?
- Regular Digi legs ( available since forever )
- Plantigrad feet ? ( available since the cheetah )
- Kinda sorta mix ( available since the fennec 2 )

More seriously it helps to know what people wear, since, for example if no one wears plantigrad feet i don't need to include them. :O

Since SL's feature for survey is completly broken ( who said as usual ? D: ). I have no other choice than just asking here!
Keeping a compatibility with invisiprims is a bit of a pain, every times I need to box 2 versions of the avatar ( at least for legs and feet ). And I was wondering if it anyway still was necessary.
So:

Do you use Invisiprim version of avatars or do you use the version with alpha mask ?

Hi hi everyone!
So lately I've received some IM about the wolf.
They are... slowly getting ready. Avatar itself is ready and have been tested. I'm recoloring it and working on accessories. \o/
Release will probably be next week.

Wolves will be given as a free update to those who bought a wolf V1. You'll have to rez the "Giver" included in each AV to get the update.
You'll receive the closest color. Avatars are different and so are colors.
Wolf V1 will still be sold ( cause the style is very different and it seems some like it ) for a lower price ( probably 'round 350l$ ) but only in the main shop.
Of course if you buy a wolf V1 after the V2 release you wont be given a V2 as update.

V2 wont be given with genitals and they'll be removed from the V1
I'm not supposed to be allowed to sell prim genitals in a non-adult land. ( but been lazy to remove then until now )

It will support Viewer 2.x (with alpha mask) and 1.23(with invisiprims).
Unpacker asks you what viewer you are using and gives you the right AV version following what you answers.
Both genders are included in boxes.

There will be 2 color sets, naturals and colorful. So hopefully enough colors to fit everyone's taste.
I'll post some pictures of finalized colors when everything will be done.
