Posted 12 years agoI'm jumping into the arena of badge commissions. My style is unique, so i have been told, and is all done by hand. Each badge will be a one of a kind creation. Here are some examples of my early work.

Simple to rediculess~I'm willing to try almost anything within reason. The size will vary as to the detail of description you guys decide to give me~and the amount of artistic freedom you allow me.
My turn around will be within the week i get the information from you guys. I know-i know..its crazy...somebody who actually does the work when promised right?
the prices will start at $20 for a basic 4X6 ish badge with your characters name in newsprint hostage note. I tend to work a bit bigger depending on the art I find.
This will also include the lamination and a slot punched. (sorry, no clips included as they can damage art work in shipping)

Old fishing reel
Posted 12 years agoI scored an epic find today at an estate sale. A 1920's model fly fishing reel. A solid brass Shakespeare Kazoo model, and it has this nifty homemade drawstring case too. It is in perfect working condition and still has the old line on it. I'm asking for reasonable offers, I know some of you guys collect these.

Posted 12 years agoI've been considering doing this for some time now, yes at one time i did art on a decent level. But, as with most artists, I'm my own worst self critique. But, i do have an idea for some Furry Fiesta themed badges. i call them "Ransom style", basically there done in cutout newsprint letter style. Very colorful and framed in bold color outlines, just your fursona's name, not really a portrait badge. You pick the "time or era" of theme for the badge. (ie. 60's-medieval-Dr.who-old west-you get the idea) Laminated and punched with the slot style hole and a clip. I am doing one currently for Askari's new Roo character. I want to get it laminated before I post it, this is basically to see if enough interest can be shown to commit to this project. I will guarantee delivery before the con, or at the convention-your choice. So respond away, I'd love to get my creative head back in the game. The price will be $20 flat for all badges.

Posted 12 years agoOk...this year I VOW to meet everyone who wants to see me @ this con. I don't wanna hear you whiny ass later saying "OMG I was so there and never saw you" or the ever so present, "I was too shy to come up and say hello." sorry about your luck then, I'm easy to find and harder to miss. Trust me, I know 3/4 of the furfags up in this con!!! But if your easily frightened or offended by a over the top personality like mine, then we have no buisness talking, just hug a wall and let me and my crew pass...we are most likely going to find a party to crash or create some chaos.
No Excuses, if you can't find me, just listen for the loud drunken Coyotes laugh or the police sirens...

Posted 12 years agoSo I was GOH (guest of honor) at F3. A first for your Coyote, I never suspected to be given such an honor when i entered the fandom in 2008. What follows is my best attempt to recall everything that transpired over this weekend. the good-the oops and the unexpected.

had an unfortunate accident on his scooter and burned up all his sick/vacation time and was forced to cancel as GOH. Or so i thought...the old Cat managed to make the drive after he left work on Saturday-drive 5 hours to stay 5 hours, do a panel with me, run the Furry Drama show,then make the journey back to be at work the following day. Thats dedicated, but his true reason to be there was to get the free booze in his SWAG bag, so don't be fooled. He grabbed my leg from under a table and scared the living crap out of me...I owe him one yet again.
F3 is brand new, and as with most things of this scope, a few elements we're overlooked, even though i know they planned for months. but even with the schedule being off (only an hour or so) they did manage to squeeze in 90% of the events planned.
The vendors we're few but decent..and OMG the hit of vendor row was the fresh donut maker...yes, donuts...so good they ran out of batter.
Artist alley had some outstanding undiscovered talent with good prices overall. Something for every budget.

had her Que full up, so props to you Hazard, you rock girl!!!
My panels were as follows:
1.Using your powers for good aka(how to be a proper representative of the fandom)
2.How to train your handler w/ my wonderful mate
and our girl Rhayven in suit!!!
3.Fursuit performance w/ Calamity and myself
4.Two left paws aka Dance 101 (personal favorite)
5.Introduction to Therion/guided meditation (this had an amazing and powerful impact on a select few who attended. Even I was surprised at the level of emotion pulled forth by our collective journey. as is decorum, I never reveal any experiences on these journeys. for the record, a lot of paths have come to a crossroads of sorts~the direction they choose is up to them.
I wish to take a moment to personally thank all of you who waited so patently for the panels. All of us genuinely appreciate your attendance and participation.
All in all the con was a success and I'm sure in the future it will grow as most good endeavors should.
The numbers I am unsure of, i believe the attendance was around 130 with 20 suiters.
The charity auction i know fetched over 300 for the benefactor.
No drama-no fires-not a single law enforcement agency had to be called, hell not even a panic attack...I'm loosing my touch. Good friends-awesome rave-good times-the best SWAG bag ever. If i have the time next year, I will go back again~unless ZE GERMANS invade. Them my crew will be pre-occupied.

New position
Posted 13 years agoSo no big news to some of you...I have chosen to leave my District team and return store side with Lowes. My new position is called a F.S.A. (facility service associate) what that basically breaks down to is far more complicated. The maintenance and cleaning duties of a 128K Home improvement warehouse falls upon yours truly. From major repairs to inspections of racking to the horrors of the bathrooms..I get to tackle it all. But I do get to run the Floor cleaner wide open before the store opens...I asked if I could draw flames down the sides...my store manager said I could draw them on paper and tape them on only...as we rent the unit. (yes hes that cool, the man lets me suit in the store for special birthdays after all) My hours are 5 a.m. till 2 p.m. Monday thru Friday, the same as my Cheetahs ~so bonus win there and no more traveling.
My job with the company before was to travel to 14 different Lowes in the Oklahoma central district and do major resets. In a word...it paid great but damn...that was a tough gig for almost two years. It was really dragging me down, both physically and mentally. I have nothing but respect for those i have left behind and wish them all the best.
I'm a big believer in the need for the human animal to embrace change, and this one's time had come.
My job with the company before was to travel to 14 different Lowes in the Oklahoma central district and do major resets. In a word...it paid great but damn...that was a tough gig for almost two years. It was really dragging me down, both physically and mentally. I have nothing but respect for those i have left behind and wish them all the best.
