So the mate had abdominal pains today...her white cell count was high and her color was off. To the Er we go..and 1 C.A.T. scan later...an enlarger appendix appears. So its off to surgery for the kitty tonight~and it could have been so much worse. Remember kids, the most dangerous 5 words on the planet..."maybe it will go away"~yeah right. I'll keep you freaks updated.
UPDATE~like the total boss she is, the Cheetah made it thru with no problems...now time for sleep for the cub and me...thanks for all the love.

OK, I know its close to the Christmas season, and you may not have a lot of funds for a con right? Well F3 is super cheap and close for a lot of central plains furs who can't afford the flight to MFF. So i'm pimping out the good folks who threw this adventure together. it seems this is the year for "ground floor" cons. And with the success of in Tennessee I see no reason this event could not share the same measure of success. So many things I could say or not say, would it matter, you weren't there suckas!!!!! Well, you weren't. What you missed-the bad first.
1. Con-ops and security, or the trail of frowns...all that was missing from these control freaks was the funny hats denoting there membership in a radical cult. Only half of them had those. Our encounter with them was because of a door sign put up with scotch tape and not packing tape...oh the horror!!! Oh, and the door sign said "Rape shack" that was all on me!!!! The grey muzzel promised to pull our badges if it was not removed. gheez what a giant choad.

2.The 4 AM fire alarm set off by some ass master who shot an extinguisher off in the stairwell. We had to stand outside in the fucking cold with security yelling at us to get as close to the road as possible. We got the all clear almost an hour later...there was much grumbling and threats of massive alcohol consumption.

3.Sandy...fucking Sandy. We had to catch a 6 AM flight after ours and Eris' got grounded and shell out 50 bucks for a cab~a Toyota Corolla cab no less.

4.We make it to Dallas after the bumpy ass ride...shuffle down to baggage claim....NO OKI. Thats right, after all that, my fursuit tote did not make the plane. However, American airlines came thru like a Boss~delivering my tote by private courier later that night. Thank the Gods, I was out of Zanex.

The good now.
1. My roomies "Oley!!!" "I'll have a ~Fonta~ orange please" and the Cheetah I've been knotted to forever,

2.I got to finally meet all of the East Coast furs I have only chatted with on line, or followed on FA.
I'm sure I will forget some but here goes. All of you made the con one of my best times ever.

3.Eating at a place we saw on The Food Network~ "Ted's" famous for there steamed hamburgers~yes steamed with so much hot melted cheese it was like Wisconsin fell out of the sky onto our plates. And Wooster street pizza...in a word...damn. And Ryan sat on the leftover piece...we will never let him forget it.

All in all I'd give this con a 4 outa 5, thanks FurFright-heres to the next ten!!!!

To all my fellow artists here on FA,no matter if you draw-cook-dance-sculpt-anything that you do to express yourself... if you need to be inspired, this man is the best example I can share with you. I grew up watching this amazing person create paintings with the greatest of ease, on public television in a half hour show. I never thought of him as odd or weird as my parents did. Bob Ross shared his love of creation with the world, always with the message that you also could do what he did-if you only believed in your ability's ~and made it a better place because of it...enjoy.

It was bound to happen sooner or later~but this caught me totally off guard. the Team that recruited me to mascot for them has folded. Green country roller girls after a six year run has closed its doors so to speak-(the team captian/owner has been recruited by Dallas),leaving your Coyote with out a mascoting gig...or so i thought. As big of a bummer as it was getting the news~word tends to travel fast in our underground sporting community...within the same week Switchblade Rosie-team captain for my former team "Tornado Alley", contacts me and asks if I would mascot for them at the up-comming bout against Breast Cancer~our biggest fund raiser of the year. Naturally I said yes.
the welcome I recieved was nothing short of incredible...I had no idea how much of an impact I made on the team and fans overall. Even the owner of the Farmers Market where we play commented on my return, saying "It was'nt the same without the Coyote here." And the young fans...the kids whos moms,aunties,even grandmothers...yes there are some~ are out there knocking each other around like a shoe in a dryer~flocked to me like I was a celebrity.
No hard feelings-no drama-only love and the feeling of seeing the people you found out LOVE YOU THE MOST.
So it has indeed come full circle, the move i thought would launch my mascoting career into the next level never happened...and i could give a flying fuck less ~because i found out exactly where I belong...and i'm never going to forget that lesson.
Go hard or go home...and home never felt so good.

The longest day of the year~Mid Summer-the Solstice...the light hold equal rule with its nocturnal sister...As i write this journal i am reminded of the deep slumber of the fallen winters cold embrace. My thoughts now turn to the wheel of the years turning, of how it feels to be so alive in this time of year. The sun filled days are long and warm, the Goddess in full bloom in every aspect~all life celebrates with songs in the air~dances upon the ground and long shadows reach as the sun finally falls slowly behind the horizon. A warm night briings the memorys forward from the days dwindeling hours-lesson learned-faces visited~stories shared...as this whiskey warms my throat~now to sleep-to awaken a creature renewed...to embrace yet another day celebrating the Suns reign.

Today our pack member was involved in a serious accident in his hometown of Midland Texas. He was struck broadside by another vehicle, on the passanger side-a full speed T-bone. The passenger, a co-worker, has multiple injuries including a broken pelvis, ribs and spleen and liver bruiseing. Kyo has a severe concussion and some dental issues from the impact. The car was completly destroyed, i will post a pic of it later.
How anyone walked away is nothing short of a miracle~powers far greater than we understand have delivered our beloved Kyo~Kyo and his passenger back to us.
As is our tradition in times like this, an Altar for him has been built in our home. The purpose is to remind us a family member is hurting and needs our love and thoughts-healing energy and ultimatly, a time to reflect and recover.
and my self surrounded his picture with things he has given to us along with our personal symbols of power. A candle annointed with ritual oil is lit, his favorite incence are burned and more importantly-it becomes a reminder to us that life has no certainty and can swiftly render us helpless in its wake.
Pray for him-pray for us-each thought has a great power and he needs every ounce of love we can give him.
