Every penny counts!BIG UPDATE [Commissions, Patreon, Streams, The Project]
Posted 6 months agoIt’s been a while since I shared my plans. Back then, we were surrounded by complete chaos, which is not over.
Although, there’s finally a silver lining.I was thinking about my work and the project A LOT. And it led me to a couple of solutions:
1. I will stop taking illustration commissions completely. Even the promised slots. The burnout is real. Due to my perfectionism, I spend too much time on them, and my debt queue always persists at the same length. The only illustrations I will do are future collaborations (some are already planned, so stay tuned!).
All the commissions I owe are still in progress and remain the top priority until they are complete. If you have questions about your commission, feel free to reach out to me!
2. Same for pinup commissionss. Instead, I’ll be taking ONLY instream comms. Speaking from my experience, this is less stressful for both the customer and me + they have a fast turnaround time (1-2 days). I’ll also start posting them on FA, so you’ll have a better idea what to expect!
3. The Patreon page. While I don’t have anything other than a bunch of concepts for the project, I’ll start from a non-project Patreon page. I’ll be posting WIPs, steps, hi-rez images and time-lapses until I’m ready to re-build it for the project (I’ll share more details later). If you were looking for the opportunity to support me and get some exclusive stuff in return, this may be the best option!
4. The Project. My team and I have been working on the world-building for 8 years now, and we never stopped doing so. During that time, we collected a ton of ideas that we cannot wait to share once we wrap everything up! We’ve never been as close to the announcement as we are now!
And, of course, I owe the world to my friends who did their best to keep my head above water. As well as everyone who ever commissioned me, thank you so much!
I’ll do my best to share with you all as much love and kindness as I can!

And I was SO obsessed with Elden Ring for a couple of years that I eventually craved to create something related to it

Also, I was thinking of making a Fallout-themed YCH (I played classic Fallout as a kid, and the recent TV show was outstanding). Would love to make some retro post-apocalyptic pieces!
BTW, you can suggest your ideas and I'll see if I have the same vibe!
The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 are great, but they seem to be overused. Other fantasy and cyberpunk/sci-fi titles are welcomed!
This idea is still beta, but I'm leaning towards making it a reality!

It's been a while since I last opened illustration commissions. Moreover, they were closed, as I thought, for good because of my insecurity.
I left my home and workplace to which I was accustomed. I could not take all of my equipment with me and that led to a lot of stress because I could not replicate the entire pipeline I've been working on for years.
Times change. I would love to create illustrations the same way I used to, but with my current tools it takes even longer now and unfortunately, I can't afford to spend that much time now.
However, I have an interesting solution! Instead of endless overpainting, I decided to spend less time on rendering and more on inking, which leads to a real comic style.
According to my idea, the shading will be a little more detailed than my sketch commissions (examples on my Twitter), while the inks will be more detailed
Also, please keep in mind these illustrations are EXPERIMENTAL. They won't look exactly the same as my usual works, but they will definitely look cool!
Yet, this is a reason why I'm not using Google Forms this time. If all goes well, I will consider using Forms again!

I've become more active on Twitter lately (since I decided to make individual content for different social media and my personal project is still a WIP), and will most likely close illustration commissions for good. It feels like I spend too much time and effort on them, and in my current situation, unfortunately, I can't afford it.

Speaking shortly, I'm in the process of relocation. I've never felt so insecure and unstable, but that's not the point of the speech.
I have sold almost everything that was valuable to me, and there are still unpaid expenses... So!
I open three more slots for inked pages + the coloring option!
I'm currently working with a trusted colorist who is willing to bring more life to those comic-stylized compositions for an extra charge!

So I decided to open an "Inked Page" type of commission! It is sort of an upgraded version of my dicsontinued "Sketch Pages" with some benefits!
What is it?
It's a comic-stylized black&white page that shows your character from different angles or even tells a story!
Is there a specific amount of frames?
No, because each composition is individual, but I'll make sure to fill the entire page with different shots!
Can I color it?
Yes! Along with hi-rez and the web versions I will provide a slightly reduced PSD file, so you can color it yourself or even ask another artist to color it!
