Pay-It-Forward Stream!
General | Posted a day agoTime for my annual Pay-It-Forward Holiday Stream! I am counting myself really lucky to be able to do one this year, as my life is 'chaotic' to say the least, right now. So come join me for some fun Christmas movies, get a free sketch for someone in your life who needs a pick-me-up or a gift this season, or just hang out and enjoy the vibes.
How it works:
For every sketch BOUGHT I will add ONE pay it forward sketch to the pot (starting with 3 donated by me).
Free/ Pay It Forward sketches MUST BE GIFTS. It does not matter if you're gifting a sketch to the person behind you in queue, giving it as a gift to a friend, etc. It just can not be -for yourself-. Gifts can be for anyone present in stream or not, so long as you have a reference that I can work from.
These are standard sketches, limited to 2 characters max per piece. If you pay for a 2 character sketch, then 2 sketches are added to the pot. Freebie sketches that have 2 characters will take up 2 sketches from the pot.
If you can not afford a sketch for YOURSELF but want to give one as a GIFT to someone else that's totally fine! Your sketch will come from the pot provided there are enough in there to do so.

I'm going to try to keep this kinda short-
Surgery went well.
Pathology came back as a grade 4 glioblastoma.
His mental acuity is recovering but he is still not fully there (it is unlikely he ever will be).
His emotional control is akin to that of a 3 year old, currently, and his Dr. believes that is the baseline (it will not get better).
My siblings and I have had to take over all his finances.
Clean up on his house is going well, he currently is not able to walk more than a few steps so there are ramps being installed through his house etc.
My family and I have spent hundreds of hours cleaning out the hoard. It's been an absolute nightmare.
I have missed TONS of work time, and my savings are about wiped out.
What I can expect for the next year is having to check in or spend a few hours at his house daily. The average expected lifespan with this type of cancer (because as soon as it's removed it starts growing back) is 6-15 months. Hopefully long enough to get his affairs in order and let loved ones make some memories with him.
As such... I am not currently open for general public offline commissions. I simply can not promise the work will be done by a specific deadline; and so I am limiting my offline work to known and trusted clients who are understanding of the situation.
I'll post another journal when I feel I can take on some more offline work.
Right now it's just too chaotic in my life... and I certainly would not be able to ensure work done by Christmas.
I WILL still be doing my best to stream on the weekends. So if you're wanting some work please do try to pop in then- as it's the only time I can for sure schedule work hours.

General | Posted a month agoThis is going to be a long post, so I'll put the TLDR here at the top:
My dad has brain cancer. Just found out about it this weekend through roller coaster of chaotic happenings that has left me shaken and exhausted. I have been mostly out of town since Saturday night, spent last night (tuesday night) at home, and am heading back out, today. I hope to be home on Friday and in a good enough frame of mind to stream. I'll be doing pre-pose flasbacks to make things easier on myself. Because I won't have the time to go back and alter the pages, the sets that include Os and my characters will carry over the discount listed.
Here is the long version- which I've already told the folks on my discord, and am posting here primarily so everyone is in the loop:
On the evening of Saturday the 15th I was informed that my father had a stroke. I got lots of confusing and conflicting information about this, and was told that it was actually a cancerous tumor that had begun to bleed and he was declining rapidly. At this point Os drove me to the city so he would not be alone, and I could say goodbye. This turned out to be an over reaction, as his non-responsive behavior was revealed to be the result of a very high dose of sedative to try and keep him calm for the airvac.
We still do not have answers as to exactly what kind of cancer it is, but his doctors believe it to be an extremely aggressive form. It was decided that'd we forego a biopsy because no matter what it is- it will need to be removed. They'll figure out exactly what we're dealing with after they've removed it. A tumor formed in his brain, causing swelling, which caused seizures, which caused a bleed- which caused more seizures. I have spent the last 2 days at the hospital with him and my siblings trying to navigate this difficult and terrifying situation.
My anxiety was compounded by incorrect information being circulated on facebook (we live in a small town) and I was constantly having to feild phone calls from people I don't know- and having to turn people away and not let them come into the hospital room as it is a family issue and we do not need random people from the bar invading our privacy. This resulted in me becoming extremely ill, as my anxiety combined with my soy allergy (can't avoid soy if you have to eat out).
As of Tuesday evening the seizures had gotten worse, and he was put on more sedatives and intubated. Wendseday, when the surgery was originally planned, they discovered he's running a fever, likely due to a respritory infection. The surgery has been delayed until the fever is gone, but his surgeon has assured us that she will be ready on stand by and get him taken care of as soon as it is safe to do so.
I humbly ask for your grace and patience as I figure this out. We are hoping for him to recover his mobility and to slow the spread of the cancer with treatment. Unfortunately we were told that the suspected type of cancer always comes back. We are looking at a very long road of treatment, and difficult times ahead.
That being said, I do not know what my work schedule will be. I will, Of course, do my best to continue working but I will need my clients to be understanding of delays. I am the only family member who lives in state, (just down the road from him, actually) and I think a lot of my time will be going to this. My dad, to be blunt, is a hoarder and it is going to take a very long time just to het his home in a state he is capable of living in after rehab.
