Posted 13 years agoI a looking for good tutorials on how to draw animals. (so I can better translate it into my furry commissions). They can be for cartoony animals or real ones, anything would be a great help. I especially need help with the faces of animals with long snouts and with the feet of furries with werewolf features... you know, the dog-like foot thing and how you draw that in a upright position in a believable way.

Space Zeppelins, the references, the spoof, the uniforms... THE MUSIC!! ALL of it was fucking awesome!!

SPX and Commissions!
Posted 13 years agoSo, I have let my hand rest for about a month and a half now, and I feel like trying to take on commissions again.
But first!
I am going to SPX (or as it's called now a days, Stockholm International Comics Festival) om Friday next week, Me and my studio (ThinkInk) are going to sell a lot of comics and hang with international comics celebs. It'll be great! This is my 6th or so time there.
So yeah, commissions!
I will start taking commissions again the week after SPX, so on the 1st of May 2012. If anyone is interested then let me know.
Note me and ask if what you want is okay before you commission me. I have some things I won't draw for money (like any sort of abuse), so please ask me first.

The lack of art lately...
Posted 13 years agoWell, as it is I have attracted a pretty severe art block brought on by the fact that whenever I draw my wrist hurts so bad I sometimes think it would be better to just cut off my hand. I have recently got a new wrist brace that I hope will help sort this out, but I am still getting used to it.
As it is, it helps somewhat with the pain, but it adds other problems such as extremely shaky hands and sometimes complete lack of movements.
So... yeah, there will be little updates for a while, both with regular art and my comics. Hopefully this will sort itself out eventually.

Mass Effect 3, the little things that I liked! SPOILERS!

You have been warned!
So I finished ME3 last Monday... and I am still reeling from the massive disappointment over the endings(just finished another playthrough to see a "different" ending). The game was great up until the last 10 minutes that completely ruined all of the games for me.
But here are some things I did like about the games. They are not major things, or even about the game mechanics, just little nice details from the game that I liked.
1: Samantha Traynor and Steven Cortez. Why? Because they are Bioware's first completely homosexual characters (as far as I know). They are not bisexual like their usual homo-romancable options tend to be, so they are completely unique. I love them both, Cortez is beyond sweet and Traynor is beyond cool. So I quite love both of them.
2: Garrus and Shep's bromance. Doesn't matter if you play fem Shep or male Shep, their friendship is awesome. Garrus is one of those characters that you care about no matter if you romance him or not. He is one of those characters that I think Shep wouldn't be able to live without. A true friend, dearest ally and companion. I truly felt that my MShep saw Garrus as just as important as his LI.
3: Vega and Cortez, latino people, a bit of colour on the Normandy is always great, and it is likeable characters as well! Sure, you had the token black guy in ME2, but I didn't much like Jacob. His motives were always shady to me so I could never find myself to like either him nor Miranda. Cerberus isn't my fave organisation, and the cheerleader and ex-boyfriend wasn't my fave persons.
4: EDI's new body. Well, what can I say, she's hot. And I loooove hers and Joker's blooming relationship. The story with EDI and Legion and the other AIs of the game always made me happy. I love stories about artificial life being in question of their existence. Asking the big questions not only about their life but of all life. EDI say it best "Organics live to reproduce copies of themselves, so what is the purpose of synthetic life?" sure, one can argue that that is the purpose of life, but then what is the point of intellect? Her finding out and Legion's quest for acceptance is extremely touching to me.
5: Javik. I love that they went with the fact that he isn't the benevolent creatures everyone thought the Protheans were. He is completely the opposite. He often is there to remind Shep of what to have in mind, reminding him/her that even the mighty will fall and that war isn't pretty. Especially this war. I love how he frustrates Liara and yet… care about the rest, in a way. I love him and his very to the point view on life.

Posted 14 years agoSo, drawing a comic for a contest http://www.wasabipress.se/2011/07/2.....fardiga-manga/ that I quite like the idea of. It's about an alternative Sweden (Svitjod) where we follow two soldiers as the battle a troll from Swedish Folklore. My man and I might well continue it one day.
I also had my friend over from the USA, it was great fun and interesting ^^
NaNoManGo going so so, I am using this month to do the contest comic, which is just good.
Oh yeah...
I now have a Tumblr... or rather I've had it for a good while now, I just haven't used it much until lately. I mostly reblog interesting articles about comics, history and games and then write about stuff like my comics and such.

Posted 14 years agoSo, I got a job last week, which have screwed a bit with my updating schedule for my webcomic.
Tomorrow I get a visit from my dear friend Nate (Errol) from the USA, who will stay for 2 weeks. We’ll buy alcohol, check out old buildings and a comic festival as well as a convention called Sydcon. It’ll be great fun ^^
Artwise I’ve been rather inspired again, I guess all I needed was to get up and do something again, ie work. I will start to earn money, I might be able to buy my drawing table and maybe even a new computer. And, eventually, replace all my markers.
I’ve joined Dragon Age Wiki and tend to spend a lot of time on there reading, editing and discussing about my dear DA. I’ve also ordered the two books so they’ll come around Friday. It’ll be great fun to read them and to continue understanding the world of Thedas.
Also, playing through Dragon Age 2 for the 10th time! Haha.

Back from Genki!
Posted 14 years agoSo I am back from Genki and it was a fun but hectic con. Little sleep and a lot to do and a lot of noise, but I managed go get through it with only a sore knee after walking to many stairs and bumping it into the table a few times to many.
We didn't sell very well, but we ended up beside Humon (Of Scandinavia and the World fame), which was interesting. She was very nice and I felt slightly sorry for her to having to be mobbed by fans the whole time.
Anyway, looking forward to next year.

Posted 14 years agoSo I'll be at Genki this weekend helping out in Artist Alley and as a dealer. I'll be selling some cheap prints and fanzines together with my friend Fanny. We'll be selling under our studio name Think Ink.

Posted 14 years agoThe new ThunderCats are fucking awesome so far. The animation is decent, the character re-designs are awesome... and Lion-O's royal father are voiced by the original Lion-O's voice actor. X3
I really recommend seeing it to anyone who wants a western action packed animated series to follow in the wait for Avatar: Legend of Korra.
Seems to be the same animation studio as Avatar: The Last Airbender as well.
