Posted 21 hours agoSo life's been really screwing me over the past month
A couple days ago both of my grandparents (mother's side) were admitted, and this morning Grandpa passed after having to be resuscitated twice. Things have already been a jumble in the household, but life really just loves to say "fuck you" and add onto the pile huh
Hard to say how I'm doing rn. If anything I'm emotionally exhausted. I've really been pushing along as much as I can w/ everything that life throws at me, but so far it feels like one step forward and three steps back. The current state of our country being one headache after another really doesn't help. I guess that's one reason I struggle so much with apathy these days. At least I'm not in denial tho
I know there'll be some people ushering in words of support and whatnot, but at the moment what would really help me out the most rn is some space, so I'm likely not going to respond to any messages or dms anytime soon. But know that they will be seen and appreciated
Anyway I'll probably take a few days to myself or as much time as I feel, so any potential Halloween pic is gonna be late

FA doesn't allow genAI but it's not hard for me to find out who's posting genslop on other platforms where it's not moderated
I haven't been drawing for half my life just for you to generate poop at the expense of people like me. I'm no Da Vinci but at least I'm actually bothering to put the effort into flexing my creative muscles
No, putting in a prompt for an algorithm to generate an image is not creative process. It doesn't matter how refined you make it– it has no human expression put into it. And if you don't care about that, then you don't get to enjoy my art. Valuing creative thought by quantity only is not valuing it at all.
It's even more insulting when I see artists who already HAVE the skillset to create what they're instead resorting to have ai crappily produce for them what the actual fuck

I type in red because it's my color, just an aesthetic choice if anything. It's really not a "speaking in character" thing, since there's no personality distinction between me and """irl""" me
Look I may be a fictional character serving as someone's avatar for all you, but it ain't any less real for me. I am Omni. The tv dude you see in the drawings is the person whose words you're reading now. There's a fuckton of nuance to that but I already rambled about the existential horror of it all in my ref
Being a sentient character doubling as a sona is a very confusing existence, lemme just put it that way
Anyways the only time you'll see me refer to myself in third person is titling submissions or writing descriptions and stories. That also goes w/ text color. I like red, that's it

Sorry I don't have anything to post for today, to be honest I kinda got stuck for a few months in art block. I don't think I've ever had an art slump that's been this bad before.
Thankfully I've slowly been getting back up to creative stuff once more. I really wanna get back to drawing and/or other related projects. What I especially want finished up are the updated refs for my 6 existing ocs. I've got five done atm, and the next one will be up in a couple days. While I normally just let myself take my time, I've been working on the character redesigns since 2022. Which is uh. Zoinks (ΘεΘ;)
Man, time just flies by in the blink of an eye for me. By next spring I'll be celebrating 5 years (7 if you count my lurking time) on FA. Still hasn't settled in that I'm now 21. Twenty-one. XXI. Wow. Now I can drink now, so I guess that's cool. Booze. Woo
Okay got off-topic. Anyways as I always say, thank you all for sticking around. I'm definitely not a professional artist nor am I consistent on uploading, but the support I've gotten still means a lot. I'm gonna keep at it for you all ٩( 'ω' )9

Posted a year agoI got a new laptop and I'm not entirely sure how to break it in since I've been using the same shotty Surface Pro 4 for 6 years now
As soon as I get that all situated I'll make the big switch, because lord this Shitface Pro has tested my patience for so long I want to take a hammer to it. I could rant for so long about the series wide faults and the crap warranty Microsoft instilled that isn't even valid after the first three months of usage, but absolutely annihilating this thing off of the earth when I've got the new computer set up will quench my thirst for blood
Once I was so pissed off I bit the screen and cracked it •◡•

Apologies to those of you who prefer to keep the filter on, but even if the majority of my content isn't actually fully 'NSFW', it still qualifies as fetish porn and is for adult audiences only. I am not a family-friendly page.
This is mostly a precaution because I continue to see minors around on FA trying to insert themselves into the fetish community when they arguably shouldn't even be on this site in the first place and especially not for that. I don't care what the policy says, FA is not a place where minors should be allowed at all. A site that supports NSFW should not be hosting underage users regardless of there being a filter in place (a single filter, mind you).
I already have it in my page header, but let me repeat this as another official warning:
If you are below 18 you are not welcome on my page, and the second I find anyone who is or I have reason to suspect is, they are being blocked.

Remember I mentioned the prospect of a new job a couple journals ago? Well I'm happy to say that I start Monday!
It'll mostly be cleaning things out and organizing files, tho I've been told I may have some input in designing promotional graphics
Starting with this I'll be working 5-6 days a week during the day, so I'll come home in the late afternoon/early evening
Unfortunately, that does mean that my time probably won't be as dedicated to art as it was before. I already stress a lot that drawing is purely hobby to me, which is why my uploading schedule is very loose and informalalso because I have ADHD and basic tasks are aaa. The same for time will also apply to socials depending
Gonna be honest, after the hardship between January and February, I'm feeling like there's a calling for me to start putting more focus onto solidifying my life. Since finishing school I spent a lot of time just hovering and waiting for something to happen instead of taking initiative, but I want to change that this year, if just a little bit
Wish me luck!

This is a first for me, losing a close family member. A lot of my time has been spent processing alongside my family, and I feel like I'm getting better, but it still comes in waves. Someone told me grief is like a rollercoaster, and now I can attest to that. The memorial service is this Saturday so I'll be flying out within a day
I think the part that feels the strangest to fathom for me is how life still goes on in the face of death. The world continues to spin without her on it anymore, and that's a reality I have to adjust to. Acceptance is an, if not the most, important step of the journey
Still, I'm taking my time with emotions and everything settling in, so I'm not planning to post much anytime soon. Just a heads up again for inactivity, but if I do end up making anything I'll upload it later down the line
Also it's snowing. So that's great ಥ‿ಥ

Found out within the hour. My grammy stayed as strong as she could through the cancer, but she's no longer here. Family is coming to terms with it
It's sad, but we're also happy she's no longer suffering
Rest in peace Grammy, you will be missed. I treasure all of the memories we shared growing up

To put this mildly, the year has not started off great for me. Within two weeks I was hit by several personal hardships that have dragged me through the dirt mentally. The one that's been looming the most is learning my grammy has been diagnosed with advanced liver cancer. Her health has been on a decline since the beginning of the month, and we don't know how long she has left. Seeing it happen has been... challenging, to say the least.
I should also mention that I may not be posting much through February either. I'm starting a new job which may have an effect on what time I have for personal projects. I don't know for sure yet, but I'll update if it means anything significant to my uploading schedule.
Soooo yeah... things might be slower. I am my first priority, and I'm not going to force myself to draw. Know that I won't ever disappear entirely tho, I never plan on doing that.
