I'm unfortunately stuck in block and also managed to get a low-grade fever on New Years so my start of the year hasn't been ideal asdfghjk
Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to what the year has to offer, I'm determined to get my footing on stable ground and not be a blob for most of the year

Welp, FA did something kinda stupid

They've reinforced a resolution limit, so the ability to post pics at full size by reuploading the source file no longer works. And of course, the only way to get a larger resolution range is to submit to a paywall

In other words, none of us can post our work at hq if it doesn't match the res limit. Great.

Sooo... what now? I'm still gonna post of course, but nothing will appear high-res like it used to be. Most likely I'll start uploading art to my Drive and posting file links in the descriptions of my submissions. The other solution is to make an account on another platform, like a couple of my friends have done. In that case I'll be leaving links to wherever else I settle if I do

Hope my fellow artists can find a decent resolve as well. What I'm praying is that enough attention makes the staff relent and revert their decision in the future

I have a couple things I'd like to touch on before the month is over

Firstly: this coming November I will be taking a hiatus, possibly for the whole month, starting after Halloween has passed. I have some plans offsite including a trip out of state. That doesn't mean I will be completely inactive tho; I will still be present around FA leaving comments and etc. And I will still be available on my other sns's for my friends and those who know me elsewhere, so don't be afraid to say hi

Secondly: During/after the break I will be overhauling my page. Mostly it will be cosmetic edits and minute updates, but I do have some other things planned, including an info doc, and possibly starting on updated refs for all of my characters. I know I have a habit of making little tweaks here and there a lot of the time, but this one's gonna have some significant change

In the meantime, I still have a few things to post so stick aroooound (or don't, I can't control what you choose to do :p)

Weeeeelp, I made another trip around the sun

So here's a funny story -- I managed to completely forget about my own birthday entirely, up until the second-to-last week of last month. Which is why am completely unprepared and been fumbling around with what to do with myself

For right now, I'm just happy to be here and happy I've made it this far. I'm starting to get a better grip on my life, moving on to new places and taking more steps along the journey. No matter how low my feelings get, I refuse to let myself give up when I've still got a lot ahead of me. The same goes for anyone reading this too, don't give up! [Insert entire 'Just Do It' monologue here]

That's all for now. I'll be posting new things periodically. I actually really enjoy the style I get from using my phone, so I'll alternate between it and using my pc (my poor laptop is on the end of its rope, I fear)

So a person I was previously on good terms with has blocked me

I know our last interaction wasn't ideal, but I don't think it was block-worthy so I'm just a bit confused...but not surprised. In the half-decade I've spent observing FA, I've noticed this kinda thing seems pretty commonplace

To be clear I'm not upset or anything given we were mostly acquaintances... tho I kinda wish people didn't pull this move immediately. I wish more people were open to talking things out, instead of hitting the kill switch right away

I do think there's an avoidance mentality that's developed with the internet, because people don't have to take responsibility for what they say and do online, not to mention the whole "hiding behind a screen" thing. Ergo, finding no need to deal with the struggle that comes with working things out between people, and just taking the easy way out when it's provided

And of course cooperation doesn't apply to everyone; there are people who just cannot be reasoned with at all and won't accept any perspectives outside their own... which is just sad really, but understandable

Take as little or as much away from this as you want, this is just my thought process :p

Today marks the day I made my account 2 years ago, during the beginnings of quarantine, which was my prime motivator to finally do it

By all means I've lurked around FA for a bit longer than that, so this would technically actually be my 5th year hovering around this site.
I'd say something inspiring or something based on my experiences, but I don't really have much to say besides I'm just happy to be here and share my drawings & all the guys swirling around in my brain

Making my account is actually what started me off with digital art in the first place, and despite how time consuming it is I'm glad I took that route. I know I probably would've given up if it weren't for the support of my friends I've made. You guys rock \(^v^)/

And of course I'm now almost on my way to 200 watchers soon. So a big thanks to all of you favers and watchers for showing support too, it's very appreciated ♥

Merry (late) Christmas~ We got 6-ish(?) inches of snow today and I am not setting foot outside until every single drop of it is completely melted and dried up (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

One of my friends told me to check out Picarto, so I made an account. I've never really had a go at streaming myself, besides working behind the scenes for other streams, but I might try it out every once in a while. Probably wouldn't be that interesting, just me and my weird drawing techniques

Fun fact I do not own a drawing tablet nor a stylus. Every single line is drawn with just the trackpad on my dinky Surface Pro 4. I don't even use the line tool anymore; it's completely freehand lining a sketch
(Dear Microsoft, fuck you for not solving a series-wide issue and only making it replaceable with a warranty that expires after the first three months of use which is completely invalid if you have no problems during that time)


I'll put my Picarto in my contact info, but don't actually expect anything on it, I'm probably gonna use it to watch other streams (ΘεΘ;)

Yeah, sucks I didn't have anything posted for Macro March, but I've been busy with other things that have to take priority. It's leaking over into this month too so I might not post anything for at least the first half of April. I've got some projects planned however ^-^

Sorry I haven't been posted for a while. My motivation has plummeted, and it's killing me on the inside. I can't force myself to draw because then it won't come naturally, and won't be as great.

I admit I'm kind of going through a period of doubt. I really enjoy what I do, but a lot of the time I question the content I make.
As much as I like paws and macro and things, I can't be invested in it as much as others can. I don't want my ocs to just be fetish-fuel, I want to feel free to do things that are wholesome and built upon character development, but I realize if I do it for this audience most of it would go unnoticed.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm still grateful, but I realize the only reason my account is where it's at is mostly because of all the kink art:

I know, it should be about the art, not the attention. But I can't deny that I still like seeing what kind of people like what I make and watching the numbers grow

And also since I established myself as a fetish artist it limits my interactions, because my content isn't fully "clean". I like lots of regular art I see, but those kinds of artists usually don't like having connections to a fetish artist, which is why a lot goes unfaved and unwatched on my favs.

Obviously a solution could be to just make separate social media accounts for normal stuff, but I really don't want to have to; I like having everything together instead of feeling like I'm hiding a side of myself for one community. And not only that, when the audience of your general content finds your fetish stuff, it's all over. Prepare to be berated and picked on for having something most people have.

We're not forcing anyone to enjoy our kinks, so what is it about non-kink people complaining that it's all hellspawn? You can hate it all you want, but don't assume it's all that makes us up. That also goes for the part of the community who obsesses over it too; we're not just ogling at our desks 24/7.

And as much as I wish I could just grit my teeth and deal with it, I can't yet. Words can still hurt even if you say you're unfazed. Creepers and groomers still try to get what they want (I learned that the hard way last year). People still think everything's black and white.

Does any of this make sense or am I missing something?

Okay, now that I've posted at least 20 submissions I'm gonna update my profile page a little with some info about me and what I draw mostly. Hopefully it turns out alright

Classes have started for me, and you know what that means; I'm going to be even less active than I already was! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay...
Jokes aside, I'm gonna try devoting more of my free time to drawing stuff instead of being a lazy blob. So expect some more things to come I guess
