I am officially back from my wedding and will be available for you if you need me again!
I will be getting together with our staff and discussing ramping up our efforts to bring you new content here as well as on our facebook page!

OPAT and our stance regarding IMVU

I wanted to make this announcement due to the ongoing development of the IMVU situation.
We as an organization will avoid casting an opinion on the matter in the interest of remaining unbiased. Until it becomes an issue that causes strife for us or our members it is none of our concern and we will not allow it to affect our operations moving forward.
As I'm sure most of you know many users have left the site over this issue. We however will not be closing this account. There are too many in need here for us to jump ship, and as vanguard to the better world we dream of we will stand firm for you and them. We are willing however, to open accounts across other sites that you or others may be moving to so we can spread our efforts to even more people. If you have any suggestions please let us know so we can get on top of that quickly and efficiently.
While we ourselves will not be issuing an opinion, you as members are more than welcome to do so, it is your right to do so. We encourage healthy debate and hope that your concerns can be addressed properly by the right people.

Welcome to OPAT as we get started!
General | Posted 11 years agoI would like to welcome all our newest members to our group! Thank you so much for joining and I would like to extend our gratitude for any future contributions you may make! You are all stories waiting to be told, and we want to hear them here at One Paw At A Time. It is because of you we were created and it is for you we will continue to build up and expand to help.
While our mission statement is very clear, i would love to take this opportunity to expand upon our goals.
We are here for the betterment of the world and all those in it. Wanting to bring community to those who might have trouble achieving it on their own, we will spread to do so. Our biggest goal currently is to just get off the ground, but soon after we intend on setting up at all of the conventions we can get into and offer our services through them. This we are hoping to do by hosting panels, offering safe places for the ones who need it to just calm down or to get away from the anxiety that conventions tend to have as a side affect. Eventually we hope to be an integral part of your convention experience so that you never feel alone or overwhelmed.
Right now is an important point for us and for you! We are looking for volunteers, folks who can share their stories of success in conquering their disabilities, their diseases, and their depression. We need folks who are willing to give their time to help us develop our methods for interacting and improving the lives of those who need it! This is important because it is a step towards a better world, which i think we can all agree must happen.
