Hey all who know me, you ought to know that I don't do many FA journal update -it's just not my thing- but I though I'd just say that I am still around. I tend to keep away from the computer as best as I can in these warm months; life is just just too jam packed full of adventures to be had outside.

First my end-of-con wrap-up. Don't worry, I'll be brief:
It was great! Saw a lot of friends, wish I saw and met more. Had a blast suiting, wish I did more. Had a blast having drinks with friends and strangers, probably should have done less of that.... just a wee bit ;) . Didn't make it to the dances much at all, bummed about that. Oh well, there is always next year!

Single. Hoping that changes sooner rather than later.

I have a serious case of wanderlust, so it's quite common for me to jump on the bike or in the Jeep and hit the road somewhere. I also love tinkering on a my rides in the garage. Just started taking dancing lessons, and of course there's fursuiting.

Fleet manager for federal vehicles.

8. What's one thing you like about yourself?
I strive to see every situation from multiple points of view and do my best not to be judgmental.

I could stand to be more passionate about certain things in life. I tend to dabble in a lot of things, but I don't feel like I have a calling in life... At least not yet.

Born and raised Catholic, but I honestly have taken issue with a few beliefs and policies of the Church. It would be fair to say that I'm still on the same page as far as my faith is concerned, but I try not to pay much mind to some of the details that don't sit well with my heart, or my head.

12. Do you drink?
Yes. I love trying new drinks, and I do enjoy a good buzz now and again. Once in a while I'll really tie one on, but do I ever pay for it the next day!

13. Do you smoke?
Nope. With the very rare exception of a cigar with my rum on the rocks.

14. What are your fears?
Simple stuff: Spiders and poisonous bugs,
Bigger stuff: Loosing my income, hurting someone whom I care about, Being burnt alive while being eaten by a shark with bad breath.

15. What are your dreams/goals?
I honestly don't know what my dreams are. I'm kind of wandering and I'm mostly okay with this and am quite happy with how my life has turned out thus far. Finding that special someone is kinda the biggest thing on my list. But you can't exactly plan for that. So...... my goals for the short term is to paint some room in my house and make a body suit for one of my fursuits... And buy a DeLorean!

16.Ever had any crushes/ex's in the past/present?
Oh yeah. Some I acted on and some I wish I had. The only regrets are with the ones I didn't at least give a shot at.... and I just may be in one of those situations once again. Is it worth it to put a friendship on the line in the hopes something more serious will come of it? Is the risk just something I'm imagining, and that some friendships can survive a failed attempt of making a relationship of it? Or am I scared that it just might work out? Hmmm... Where's my rum and stogie when I need it?!!?

I've been on a salty kick recently. Peanut-butter over salty Ritz crackers has been my shiznit lately. Before that I was munching on fruit snacks like they were crack.

I've got a '12 Jeep Wrangler and an '07 Kawasaki Ninja 500R. Recently sold a Miata and a Cherokee. Wish I had another old Miata I could mess around with, and a DeLorean.... Or a Subaru SVX.... or a Corvette C6 Grand Sport.

26. Most disliked bug?
Spiders.... no wait, wasps!..... *thinks about the time when I woke up with a wolf spider crawling across my face while laying in bed, and how I was terrified but couldn't move until he crawled off my head* ....on second thought, I'm going with spiders.

27. Most hated pet peeves?
People who are quick to judgement and willingly disregard facts and truths if they challenge their preconceived notions. I also don't like inconsiderate drivers, nor people who pee on the seat in public restrooms. Prissy/ditsy/girly people (of either gender) can also irritate me at times.

28. Dislike in life?
The furry and fursuiting stigma gets a bit old when a lot of the suiting I do is with a professional group who does suiting for or with charity groups. And this being an election year, I also dislike what I feel will be my choices at the ballot box this November.

29. Most annoying sound?
The voice of someone I have to deal with on a regular basis at work. That's all I'll say about that.

30. Mot disliked TV show?
I hardly watch TV and I certainly don't watch shows I dislike, but even the concept of The Jersey Shore offends my finer sensibilities.

Welll, I'm in the last hours of 2k11 and I'm taking a quick break from my party preparations to wish everyone a prosperous New Year. Very shortly it will be a new year, with a new start, make good use of it. I know I will be. While 2k11 was a pretty good year for me, I have my share of regrets and disappointments, but with a deep breath, (and a champagne toast) that all flows under the bridge. Well, I'm looking to get a full-suit of him and while I have a couple suit makers in mind whom I'd consider going to to have the suit made I don't of everyone who does good suits. I'm open to recommendations, tales of good service, horror stories, etc.

For this guy I'm leaning toward a little more realistic than toony, but not fully so. I'll likely be using it a good bit, not only at cons, but at volunteer events as well so I can't be going around scaring kids... too much. :P

So far I have contacted One Fur All, but have not heard back from them. That seems to be a common story with them. :/ I also have Media @ The Critter Factory, as wells as MixedCandy on my radar. But I know there are other good suit makers out there and that's what I'm looking for. I'll take anything ya got and it will be much appreciated. Thanks all! :D

Seems one fursuit just isn't enough for me. I gotta get me another! And with the help of my whopper of a tax return it's going to happen! But first thing's first, I have to come up with a new character design for the suit. I'm sticking with canines, the overall coloring will be black over white with some red bits here and there and it's starting to all come together in my head..... and in photoshop. Wheeee! This is fun.
I've been playing around in photoshop for a few hours tonight and it's interesting to see how the changes are coming along and the new character is developing. I'm going to take a break for the night and look at it with fresh eyes and ideas tomorrow and see where it goes from there. Maybe I'll even find a name for him.
