Posted a year agoSo I’ve changed my VRchat model a bit, had to restart to do so, but my avatar of Bel is now pretty much the same model as I use in my renders. Still have more work to do on him, but he’s in!

Posted a year agoThe reason why Bel wears arm and leg warmers is because they’re something usually worn by bottoms, and though he is a switch, Bel does prefer being top/dom. I find the contrast between the subby clothes and a more dominant nature interesting/appealing.

Posted 2 years agoRecently I finally decided to try out vrchat, made my bunny boy Bel an avatar and ported one of my blender scenes to it and everything. It’s pretty awesome, been having fun!

Posted 2 years agoSaw a thing on Bluesky that really got me thinking about Bel and what his overarching story is.
I’ve had the idea of him, a bespectacled, white-furred rabbit boy in my head for nearly a decade now. However, I didn’t actually realize him and give him a concrete form until late 2022. As for the name, I’m almost positive it is a misremembered version of Bell Cranel, the protagonist from Danmachi, which I watched a tiny bit of in 2015 or 2016. It was in the back of my head, floating around in there.
Bel.
I started using it whenever you could choose a name for a character, usually in games, around 2020 or 2021. At the time, it wasn’t connected to the white rabbit in my head.
That only happened once I joined twitter. Actually, the name OnlyAthrowaway alluded to the fact that the account was, by all means, only a throwaway. I created it to ask one person one question and planned to never use it again after that. However, I started making sound edits and the name kind of stuck with me.
Then I started doing Blender renders. I had been using Blender for a while at this point. I realized if I was gonna do nsfw renders, I should probably have a character. Then everything clicked. The white rabbit, the name Bel, everything. I made him a model in tandem with his personality.
Bel started off very closed off and introverted, it was visible down to his body language and posture. He almost looked a bit ashamed in the first render I ever did of him. He was very insecure about his body and how others would perceive him.
However, as time went on and he gained experience, his self esteem improved. He began to gradually open up to others, becoming less shy and more willing to be himself.
Despite his change in characterization, he still retains the shy blush he’s had since the beginning.

Posted 2 years agoIf there’s anything you would like to see Bel do, any poses or anything like that, let me know! I’m usually open to all sorts of ideas, and if I like it, I’ll make a render of it!

Posted 2 years agoI often do bunches of renders that are related, and I wish I could upload those all together. What would be the best way of going about that? Creating a preview collage and linking to a zip of renders? That’s the only way I can really think of doing it.
