Sooo... that Legacy of the Void thing...

Whats this SC2 deal? Methinks it MIGHT have been a bit overshadowed by the fallout 4 release, but since I dont like fallout and I do love SC2 (see: already 100% achievements on WoL and HotS campaigns) Ive been pushing into LotV.

So well done! I have a few complaints about it, but overall, another quality expansion from Blizzard, imo. Worth the wait, and a good time playing as protoss.
78% achievements on first run through normal. I dont have 3 of the special ship ability achievements, and then the hard-mode mastery achievements, and then simply completing on brutal.

And trust me... I do NOT look forward to some of these missions on brutal. That last one? Fuuuuuck that. But it will be done. Eventually. All in due time... in HotS, the hard-diff mastery achievements were waaay more difficult than simply beating the missions on brutal diff, and I suspect the same thing will happen here. Still...

Word on game streaming, ME streaming

Not sure how much interest there might be for this, and Im going to put it out there now. I play games, usually LoL but lately its been pissing me off, a lot. I also stream a lot of it, usualyl just for one other person but Im opening it up for others to watch, since Im going to playing varied games soon.

I will be starting with Freespace 2. Yes, the old Descent Freespace 2. I played it way back when, I beat it, but I want to go through it again now with Freespace Open. Testing waters to guage interest, and also looking for opinions or thoughts on music recommendations for such. Preferably instrumental. Something... up beat, fighty, fast.

PSA: medications

Just putting this out there, as it had recently happened to me, but a reminder that if youre on medications, periodically check on them, their dosage, possible side effects, and if you still require them.

I say this due to personal experience that has recently come to light. Ive been on medications for GERD (gastro-esophagial reflux disease. heartburn, basically. Acid reflux. ) for a few months now, and all was fine, or so I thought. But due to other things happening in the past week or two I stopped taking my daily pills. Within 2 days of being off them, I began to feel BETTER. Not in terms of the acid reflux and tummy aches, thats still there and returning slowly to what it was like before I was on the pills, but in other regards I feel better.

Seems like I was experiencing some of the uncommon or rare side effects of the pills, including depression and sleep disorders. With the pill, I woke up every morning before 8am, with or without alarms set, with a sore throat. First night without the pill I slept in well after 9am, and didnt experience the sore throat. Each day since then Ive felt more... me. Happy. Able to experience happiness, not as down and grumpy and disgusted with my life and close to losing my mind as I was in the couple months before this, while I was taking the pill.

Yes, I have issues again with GERD. but Id rather an upset stomach and tightness in my chest once in a while than a constant feeling of unhappiness, disgust with myself, sadness with my life, and loathing of my own lack of motivation, skills and any sort of future.

So please, if youre on medications review them periodically. Whether you check on possible side effects, or just stop taking them for a day or two if its a possibility, just see how things are.

What is a 'furry?'

This question comes to mind every once in a while, usually when Im re-listening to a bunch of old 2sense episodes (admittedly I dont enjoy the newer ones. Jakabe and Jibba were my preferred co-hosts.) BUt what is a 'furry?'

What does it mean to BE a furry? Its a term we use for anthro characters, but also generally group in plenty of other, feral or quadrupedal or otherwise characters as well, but when we talk about our real selves as 'furries,' what does it mean to people?

Ever from my own start in the fandom when I first discovered the term, I have gone by the definition that a furry is someone that is a fan of anthro art or characters. It had nothing to do with sex at all, never has for me. Theres lots of innocent stuff in the fandom, so to me a furry is not and never has been someoe that wants to have sex with anthros.

Buuuut... nowadays, I dont really know where most of the fandom stands with the term. It feels to me that the definition is sliding ever further towards the adult, mature nature of stuff. It bugs me, it does, because it ruins the name and a way for the more innocent, younger folks to identify, while also attracting an ever creepier crowd...

So Im looking for other opinions. What connotations are coupled with the term Furry for you now? If you hear such a word, does your mind go to sex, yiff and such?

So today is paw day?

Is there a calendar for these things? paw day, bird day, egg day, macro day, blah blah blah... how do you crazy people keep track of this?
There has to be a calendar... 'This month, such days are happening!'

I mean, if you care about such things, which is a little silly when you think about it. Are we celebrating paws? Or just using it as an excuse to draw them, when you could just as easily draw them on ANY DAY OF THE YEAR!

Fuck birthdays.
