Summer Movies So Far...
Posted 12 years agoSo as many people know I'm kind of a big movie buff. In addition to renting movies, Netflixing stuff, buying a shit ton of Blu-rays and occasionaly downloading some films... I try and see a lot of movies in Theaters. Part of that is because I like the theater experience and part of that is I like to support movies that I think have potential to be good or awesome. That said this summer movie season (May - August) I had a list of approximately 20 movies I wanted to see in theaters. So far there were a few movies that got dropped from the list due to abysmal reviews or other reasons, but wanted to kind of do a quick sum up of the movies I've seen so far. So without further ado...

Spider-Man Never Cursed A Fig Tree!
Posted 12 years agoThis was actually written a long while ago as a way of sorting through some anger
and frustration. Its an uncensored look at how I feel about Religion. Don't
read this if you are easily offended.
For the most part I try to keep my self at a safe distance from
religion. I really have this sort of live and let live mentality about
religion. It tends to serve me fairly well. As long as I don't bring
it up with most people, avoid overly religious people, and avoid
thinking about the effects religion has on the world I can live in my
own safe little bubble far far away from the horrors of Christianity
and I don't have to fight back any unbridled rage. Now this attitude
is partly because I have a long history of avoiding confrontation, and
partly because anytime I am put in a situation involving religion it
tends to end badly. In fact this very article was written as an attempt to release
some anger over the words of a faith driven man.
Someone I loved and cared about had been struggling with some thoughts and issues
concerning homosexuality and Christianity. In an attempt to clear his
mind he posted what I thought was a very moving and well written
deceleration of his beliefs on Facebook. His father felt obligated to reply.
I wont post the whole thing, but below are some key excerpts
from his response.
"Since the beginning throughout history Man irregardless of race,
religion, creed, culture, sex or status have always stole, lied,
cheated, hated, coveted, had impure thoughts, killed, raped,
slaughtered, pillaged, imprisoned, enslaved others and committed other
actions for their own selfish reasons. They all looked inside
themselves for what they thought was right and have all come up empty
and wrong. All of us, especially myself have looked for truth inside
myself and sought my own desires and wants and even tried to justify
my own actions as being pure when my motive, if honestly examined, was
always self seeking, and in my own self interest.
Don’t learn to look inside yourself as we can not be trusted because
our hearts are desperately wicked and deceitful above all things. As
Jesus did not cast the stone at the adulteress as many others wanted
too, He forgave her and told her to go and sin no more. He says the
same thing to me and you and does not cast a stone at us, as we
deserve, but offers forgiveness instead. Because of His Spirit living
in me I am capable of loving and do love those who slander, judge,
persecute, lie about, mislead, steal and perform all other types of
wretchedness against me, my family, others and God."
This attitude that without God we'd all be a bunch of mindless savages
running around, raping, murdering, and pillaging is disgusting. How
can someone honestly believe the world would devolve into the
entertainingly violent city from "Hobo With A Shotgun" if Religion
were removed from the picture. This belief implies the only source of
morality, the only reason people do anything good is because of the
Bible. Not only is that a dangerous thought, its the exact opposite of
the truth. Now I could spend this entire article talking about the
horrors and atrocities of Religion. Believe me there are many, but
that is not going to be my focus. No I have something a little more
derpy in mind.
Now I do want to give you a warning before you go any further. I know
I'm not the best writer. If you are looking for someone with a little
more verbal talent go read one of Dawkins books. In fact its amazing
that I'm still able to form any kind of sentence structures at all.
Whatever brains I once had were fried by watching too much My Little
Pony, but still I plan on doing my best to argue a point I think needs
to be made. What is the point? Good question! using my own history and
love of Spider-Man to make an argument that Spider-Man is a better
moral role model then God or Jesus ever were.
I grew up in a small town, and I always felt like an outsider. I
always felt different and alone. Its easy for people who grow up in
those type of situations to either become hopeless, or to develop a
lot of anger and darkness. At one time or another I have been down
both of those roads. However no matter how dark things got I always
had a secret weapon to help me find my way through the night. Comic
Books.
I love comic books. I love the merging of art and literature. I always
loved to read. Something I think may have come from my dad reading to
me at a young age. Honestly I loved reading a lot and quickly became a
bit of a speed read and I was devouring a steady mix of classic
literature and Stephen King novels by the time I got to 5th grade. My
real love even more then novels though was comic books. I have always
been a very visually driven person. . The way I see the world and draw
is hard to explain to others (A reason I stopped trying long ago) but
it seems to be different then the way others look at it. The closest
I've ever found to the way I see the world is comic books. A world
where everything is important. Every detail part of the bigger story.
So to merge those two things. To merge art and story in just the
perfect childish way, well it was an escape. An escape from the
reality I sometimes hated. When I was in my room reading a comic book
I could lose myself in those magical worlds. The world I chose to go
most often was that of the Marvel universe. I never got Superman. He
was just another alpha male who had a perfect life. He never seemed to
suffer. Never seemed to doubt himself. Never screwed up. He was
perfect. I couldn't relate to that. Who could?
The heroes of the Marvel universe though were a little different. They
had flaws. They made mistakes. They had demons inside them, but they
still tried to be the good guys. Spider-Man in particular was the hero
who seemed to resonate most strongly with me. He was a loser. An
outcast. He was bullied and picked on. He was treated like shit by
everyone around him, but yet he still tried to do the right thing. He
fought to protect a world that doubted him.
I remember reading "Torment" a still somewhat famous Spider-Man story
arc written by Todd Mcfarlane and involving the Lizard, and I remember
thinking how hard it was for Peter. It wasn't easy to be the good guy.
It wasn't fun. But he did it anyway. He did it at cost to himself. He
did this not with thought of some reward or even gratitude but because
it was the right thing to do. He had the ability to help so he had to
do it or no one else would. Not only that he tried to help everyone
and didn't ask anything in return.
This seemed to contrast greatly with the religious people in my small
town who were only doing good so they could earn their way into
heaven, and even though they were trying to be "good Christians" they
seemed to suck at it. They disliked the Mormons and Catholics because
they were different. For some reason it seemed to me like they had the
ability to do so much good in the community, but they didn't care
about that. They cared about doing fun trips, big pot lucks, etc. They
care about themselves. There was no self sacrifice. There was no
conviction. It was just an excuse to get all the middle class white
people together to socialize.
It was around this time in my life I felt compelled to read the bible.
In doing so I discovered something that bugged me. The loving God I
was told to love and respect in Sunday school was kind of a dick! I
don't know about you but even his first act, he created Adam and Eve,
they were simple, innocent, and he then created a giant magical tree,
and told them not to touch it. If you have every babysat children, you
know that telling a kid not to do something is a sure fire way to get
them to do it. If he is all knowing he knew what would happen. Hell he
even threw in an evil serpent to help make sure he had completely
jury rigged the game. Then, he punishes Adam and Eve for their
transgressions. Kind of a dick move. I hate when parents punish their
children in response to their own shitty parenting skills. Then God
goes on to basically cause the first murder. Why? Because he likes one
of his grand children more. The one who is giving him blood
sacrifices. Yeah... That's not creepy. Then God gets tired of tricking
humans into being evil and ... Well I'll let the bibles own words make
the point.
"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and
that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil
continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the
earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will
destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man,
and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it
repenteth me that I have made them."
God creates man. Leads them down the road to make them sinners, then
rather then try and reform them. Try and help them he decided he will
wipe out all life on earth except for one family who he tells to build
a boat. I'm sorry wiping out an entire race (In this case the human
race) well, that my friends is called Genocide and is usually frowned
upon in most civilized countries. My hero Spider-Man never went on
genocidal rampages. In fact he recently vowed to try and stop anyone
from dying on his watch. Good, bad, it doesn't matter. Every life is
important. No one deserves to die.
Now the old testament continues like this for awhile. Lots of
begetting then smiting then more begetting. Basically just an endless
stream of sex and violence. In fact there is enough gore and
copulating that if it were a movie it would make even Quentin
Tarantino say it was a bit too over the top. Once you wade through the
old testament you get to Jesus, and for the most part Jesus is really
a way cool guy. In fact if most Christians paid attention to his
teachings the world would be a much, much, much greater place.
Jesus liked the outcasts, the losers, the people on the fringes of
society. He preached tolerance and love and understanding. He preached
self sacrifice and charity. He preached all the things I'd learned
from Spider-Man. However, he did do one thing that kinda gets my
panties in a knot. Again I will let the bible speak for itself. These
are two different takes on the same event. One from Matthew and one
from Mark.
"Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. And
seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it
but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again."
Immediately the fig tree withered away."
"Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry.
And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if
perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found
nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response
Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His
disciples heard it.
So Jesus walked up to an innocent tree. One that wasn't in season. It
was just sitting their minding its own business doing what God created
it to do, but this wasn't good enough for ol' Jesus. Nope. He wants
the tree to do the impossible. Grow fruit out of season. When it cant
do so he chooses to curse it. Why? What did the fig tree do wrong?
Nothing? The only thing it did wrong was try to be true to itself. It
tried to be happy. And God/Jesus didn't really like that cause it
didn't fit with their plan. So bam.
Now I am going to say this and make it very clear. Spider-Man has made
many mistakes. He's screwed up. Been selfish. Even made a deal with
the devil to bring Aunt May back from the dead. He however has never
in his entire history cursed a fig tree. Go ahead and look. Spider-Man
has never killed a fig tree. Nor would he. Its not how he roles. Now I
want to share something. Its an excerpt from a speech the new
Spider-Man actor gave at comic con. He grew up reading Spider-Man
comic books, and shortly after he was announced as the new actor he
gave a very impassioned speech about the importance of Spider-Man
"Stan Lee says that the reason why Spidey is so popular is because all
of us can relate to him, and I agree. I needed Spidey in my life when
I was a kid, and he gave me hope. In every comic I read, he was living
out my and every skinny boy's fantasy of being stronger, of being free
of the body I was born into, and that swinging sensation of flight.
And upon receiving his power, unlike most who have become corrupted,
he used it for good. And I think that we all wish we had the courage
to stick up for ourselves more, to stick up for a loved one more, or
even a stranger you see being mistreated, and Peter Parker has
inspired me to feel stronger. He made me, Andrew, braver. He reassured
me that by doing the right thing, it's worth it. It's worth the
struggle, it's worth the pain, it's worth even the tears, the bruises,
and the blood."
Andrew gets it. He got the same thing I did. In fact if you look
online a lot of people get it. I learned from Spider-Man that you help
people not because you want to go to heaven. Not because you want to
convert them to your religion. You help people because you love them.
Because they're people, and its the right thing to do. Next time I see
someone talk to me about how we are all sinners and need Jesus to have
any self worth I'm going to tell them fuck off. I'm worth something.
Every man woman and child on this planet has the capability for both
great good and great evil and God has nothing to do with that. Believe
it or not Atheists are capable of great good. There are a lot of great
Atheist charities. And Christians they are capable of great evil. Like
bullying gay and lesbian children into killing themselves. Causing
acts of war and genocide. Forcing their beliefs on abortion on Woman
who have the right to make their own choices.
I'm going to end this with a few pages from Ultimate Spider-Man. If
you aren't familiar Ultimate Spider-man was a reboot of the Spider-Man
mythos with a younger Spider-Man set in modern day times. It is my
favorite take on the character. At the end of the story he died. He
died saving others. He died doing the right thing. Spider-Man in my
hero. My role model. These pages some up why he is the person I aspire
to be.

And the winners are...
Posted 14 years agoOkay, I want to start by saying thank you to everyone. Especially those who offered to donate prizes, I'm not the best artist but if any of you guys who donated prizes ever want me to draw anything for ya, or do any kind of favor for you, just let me know and I'm your wolf. Cause seriously, you are all awesome.
Anyways, when I first entered this DisneyWorld wedding contest, I knew that there was pretty much zero chance of me and Kit winning, but I love Kit, and I have always dreamed of a Disney Wedding, so you can't blame a wolf for trying. *Smiles* The funny thing is that I never expected to get anywhere near as many votes as we got. As of my last check we are at 256 votes which placed us number 95th out of the 10,053 submissions. I didn't expect to even get a hundred, so really this whole thing was just an awesome demonstration of how awesome both my friends in Seattle, and the furry community are.
Now on to the important stuff. Prizes. I'm going to let Tigon, Lykan, etc, pick their own winners, and hand out the prizes they offered. (Id feel weird giving away someone elses stuff) That said I did offer to do a couple of commissions for some random people who voted and or blogged and or tweeted for us. I decided since the response was bigger then I originally anticipated I would do more art then I originally decided so I raised the number from 2 or 3 to 10, then to select the winners I basically played several fun games of Eeny, meeny, miny, moe and widdled down the entries until only 10 remainted. And the winners are....
sumanitutakanagi
keeko-chan
skyan
tautoru
kyriann
enhydra
alphawolf70
dumacountrytiger
packetfox
kamacat
I'll be attempting to contact all of the winners in the next week or so if they don't contact me first. For all the winners, please try to think about what you want me to draw for you, and feel free to send me a note, direct message, or email describing what you want. I am limiting the pictures to at max three characters and no overly complicated backgrounds. This is partly for my own sanity and partly because I just started my new job recently, so I don't have a lot of free time. Also, please be patient with me if it takes me awhile to get all of these done. I do have two drawings to get done first, then I will get started on these pictures.
Anyways, thanks again for all the love and support!

P.S. Lykanthrope feared this journal wasn't super clear, so I went through and edited it a bit. These 10 people were selected and won drawings from me. The other prizes I will leave the picking and awarding to their respective prize givers/donaters.

I'll be attempting to contact all of the winners in the next week or so if they don't contact me first. For all the winners, please try to think about what you want me to draw for you, and feel free to send me a note, direct message, or email describing what you want. Vote for Us, Win Free Art and Other Prizes!!!
Posted 14 years agoHello furries and fur-iends! :3
Want to win free art? How about free t-shirts? How about tickets to an off the hook party?
Please help some fellow furries out by voting for us to win a dream wedding. There are tons of prizes available to those who vote for us and share this message with friends, so please vote and share this message with other furries who can vote for us as well.
As some of you may know Furkitfox and I are engaged to be married. He actually proposed to me at Disneyworld earlier this year during a trip with his family. Our speculation was that we weren't going to get married until a) it is legal in Washington and b) we can afford it (since there's no bride, there's nobody to pay for the wedding for us). I have always had a dream of getting married at Disneyworld in some fairy tale wedding, but that's always kinda looked like an impossible dream for the two of us. Cause we ain't exactly rich.
Well, Disney is going to make that specific dream a reality for one lucky couple. They've started a contest where the goal is to vote for your favorite couple to win the wedding. All we needed to do was submit a photo of us and tell a short story about why we should win. So far we're one of only a few gay couples who have entered, which is interesting, so I'm hoping to make some waves in the furry community and get a lot of votes.
So far the number one submission on there has around over 1000 votes. That's a lot, and it seems very unlikely that we'll ever get that many votes. But then I started thinking, well, the furry community is pretty frickin' big, what if we can get this thing circulated around somehow to all the furries we know and maybe have them share it as well? There's a chance we might actually win, and even if we don't it will still be fun! Also, it will give everyone a chance to win some prizes which is always fun.
Here are the prizes! They have been donated by some very awesome people in the furry community, so if you have a chance, please tell them thank you. They are really great people and friends.
Here are the prizes that you can win!

3. Post this on your own journals on FA, LJ, FB, Twitter, whatever, and make sure to mention the free art. =) Do whatever you can to spread the word.
4. Vote again, every day until the contest ends.
Here's how to win the prizes!

Togainu no chi anime!
Posted 15 years agohttp://www.togainu.tv/pv/index.html Yay. I love Togainu no chi! The game is cool, both Manga adaptations were good, and its responsible for some of my favorite doujinshi ever! I know the anime won't have all the hot gay sex the game and first Manga adaptation had, but even without it, it is still a cool action story with awesome characters. I can't wait for this!
My Weekend...
Posted 15 years agoFirst off, I just wanted to say thanks to all my awesome friends. Derek, Ashleigh, Cristi, Craig, Jason, Toby, Gene, Brian, and Marcus. I had a really awesome weekend, and it was all because of you guys. So thank you! Friday was Toby's birthday dinner, and we went to Broadway Grill. The acoustics in that room sucked balls, so I couldn't really talk to anyone but Brian, Marcus and Stephen, but the food was good, and me and Marcus has a fun art discussion. Afterward we all just kind of hung out for a bit and had a fun little discussion of musical tastes and how they differ person to person. Lol. Then Saturday, I got up early to clean and decorate for The Nightmare on Elm St. Party, and then afterward, I went to the Asian art museum with Craig, Jason, Gene, Toby, and Brian. It was a pretty cool exhibit, and I'm glad I got to go. After that, I came home, finished some last minute stuff and then everyone came over for movies. We made it through the first four Nightmare on Elm St movies before people started falling asleep, but all in all, it was a fun night for me. Sunday kinda sucked for the most part, but I did get to have a Tokyo club. (God I love that sandwich) and toward the end of the day, I got to go play Monopoly with Derek, Ashleigh, Cristi, and Ashleigh's friends Tyler.
Bleh....
Posted 15 years agoI am feeling very melancholy right now, and I'm really not 100 % sure why. It is really frustrating because I've had a lot of fun recently between all the parties and hanging out I've done, but at the same time, there is just this general since of ennui that I can't seem to escape... Well, hopefully the party this weekend will knock me out of this funk. Honestly if watching a bunch of classic somewhat campy slasher movies with 20 or so of my friends can't knock me out of this funk, then nothing can.
Meh, I think I just need to focus on the good. I've got a fantastic boyfriend, excellent friends, a good home, an awesome collection of Lucario stuff, and I'm actually really glad I moved to Seattle. I've done so many things since I moved here that I never would have been able to do in Arizona. It's also even brought me out of my shell a little bit. Not an easy task! Honestly, it is hard for me to be social. I remember it used to come so much easier, and I used to just like everyone, but now, it is hard for me. I don't know why. I kind of had a complete change of personality back in 2003 when everything fell apart... Honestly, this is the closest I've ever gotten to being like I was back then.
I think maybe part of this stupid feeling I have is fear. I'm happy with my life, so I kind of half expect everything to just fall apart. It's so dumb that I can still let things that happened so long ago fuck with me that much, but honestly I do think that is part of the problem. The other part is work, and just this feeling of disdain I've had for my job and my boss since my review, and then the whole taking the bonus back.
Meh.. I just need to relax. Maybe draw, and listen to some music. I just not sure I'm going to have a chance to do so anytime soon. Maybe Sunday after the party...

Leather Pride at The Cuff.
Posted 15 years agoOkay, so last night was fucking fantastic! I had to work in the morning yesterday, but I got off super early, and went over to Nightcats. Stephen and I hung out there for a bit with a lot of the local furs, we had a barbecue, I talked with a lot of people, laughed at a retarded kid begging for food, and wrestled with someone who was trying to handcuff me (It has been awhile since I've been manhandled, it was kind of fun) Afterward, we went with a big group of friends (Including my awesome friend Ashleigh who is officially the hottest chick on the planet) to a leather pride celebration at The Cuff (My favorite bar in Seattle) I drank, and danced (Okay I didn't really dance so much as wiggled around like I was having a seizure. I really can't fucking dance at all, and really wish I could, but I completely lack rhythm) Oh and my significant other was wearing his leash, and I kind of passed him around the dance floor, and I discovered that he looks really sexy sandwiched between other guys. But yeah, a fagtastic time was had by all!
Afterward, Ashleigh wasn't in any shape to drive home, so I drove her and Kit to 7-11, then Burger King, and then finally back to our apartment where all three of us crashed. Then, this morning continued the awesome trend. I got up pretty early, to give Ashleigh a ride back to her car, and I got to catch The End's Sunday morning acoustic show. I really love acoustic tracks, and they played quite a few good ones. It was a really spectacular way to start the day. After dropping her off, me and Kit went to breakfast at a nice small town style dinner near our apartment. It was a good breakfast, and reminded me of the food and people of AZ. (In a surprisingly good way)
Now I think I'm going to listen to my Live Flogging Molly CD (Via headphones since Stephen hates them), and draw for a bit. Then, later tonight, we are going to go see How To Train Your Dragon. I'm not sure if anyone is going with us, or if it is going to be just me and Kit, but either way, this has been a really wonderful weekend. I really am so glad I moved to Seattle, I just couldn't have these kind of experiences back in AZ.

More Questions Answered!
Posted 15 years agoAsk me anything http://formspring.me/ookaminobaka I answered a few more questions on here.
And the academy award goes to....
Posted 15 years agoI've been having a kind of lousy week with work. My boss has me in a noose and is basically threatening to tighten it. I understand that he needs his district to do better, but subtly threatening to fire someone who you know isn't actually part of the problem, seems kinda lousy. So, I've been super stressed out about that, and have slowly been looking for a new job, but it's kind of hard though to find a stable jobs, that I qualify for, that make as much money as I need. Meh. Hopefully, I will be able to get my CE scores up, and I won't have to worry about this anymore.
So despite all the stress at work, the rest of my life is going pretty damn well. I'm drawing more. Drawn a few pictures for local Seattle friends, and have a bunch more I want to draw when I get the chance. I have been attempting to eat better and exercise more, and am making a bit of progress. Two steps forward, one step back. Lol. So yeah, things are pretty damn good on the home front as it were. Also, last night Stephen and I had an Oscar party; well actually, it was more of a get together then a party, but still, it was fun.
We just had a few friends come over, drink, eat, and watch the Oscars. We invited a lot of people including some of our coworkers, but a lot of people already had plans just cause we kind of decided to do it at the last minute. Really though, our apartment is pretty small, so if everyone had come over that we invited it would have been a really packed house. Lol. But yeah, Derek, Ashleigh, Cristi, Damien, Jin, Nightcat and Kovu all managed to stop by and hang out for a bit. I had a lot of fun, got really drunk, and tried something I have never tried before. The thing I hadn't tried was a fairly interesting experience. Lol. So thank you Damien for helping me with that, and also a big thank you to everyone who came and hung out with us. You guys are all extremely awesome!
Also, as for the awards themselves, I was really happy that Christoph Waltz won for best supporting actor. I was really happy that UP won best animated (Although I did really love Fantastic Mr. Fox) And, I was happy that Hurt Locker won best picture. Most of the other awards I didn't care much about, oh and NPH's opening musical number was fucking fantastic! NPH will always be one of my favorite celebrities!

Valentines Day!!
Posted 15 years agoSo Stephen is the best boyfriend ever! For Valentines day he got me a really sweet card. He also got me tons of new Lucario stuff to add to my collection including, two new figures, some new notepads, a purse, socks, a mirror, some charms, a shirt, a pencil board etc. While Ashleigh was visiting Japan, he slipped her some money and she stopped by the Pokemon Center and basically bought everything with Lucario on it that I didn't yet own. So yeah. This was an extremely awesome gift! He also put a really sweet message to me in a local alternative press (The Stranger) which for those who are curious, here is what it said.
"To My Pupcake. We did it! One full year in Seattle! If I could do it all over again I would, if only because I end up with you. I love you. Happy Valentine's Day!"
Now we are heading out for dinner and a movie, and after that, well you can imagine what we will be going. Lol. So yeah, all in all, best Valentines day ever! I am so happy right now! I am so freaking lucky. Stephen is really wonderful and I'm really lucky to be with him. I hope everyone else is having a good day as well. Happy Valentines day to everyone out there. *Hugs*

As safe as barebacking a five dollar whore...
Posted 16 years agoIts been awhile since I've posted anything so I am just copying this entry over from my LJ. I posted it last night on there, and rather then write a new entry for fa, I'm just copying and pasting this one.
Okay, it's been awhile since I've updated, and I'm kinda buzzed, so try to bare with me. Tonight was my birthday... Well actually, my birthday is still 11 days away, but tonight we went ahead and celebrated it. There were a variety of reasons for celebrating it early, including some friends who were visiting all the way from Arizona, and also, because Stephen will be at the con on the 24th. Well, it was definitely fun. I basically had a pretty freaking awesome day.
We didn't really do much, but still it was kind of perfect. Me and Stephen slept in (Which was amazingly wonderful) had a bit of fun (You can prolly guess what kind) and then we cleaned up, picked up around the house a bit, ran some errands, and watched Dr. Who. All in all the day went pretty damn well, and made me realize just how amazingly lucky I am. You see, I have a really sweet, sexy, funny, smart, boyfriend who for some reason thinks I'm worth all the trouble I create. Then after spending the day relaxing, and chilling, my actual birthday party began.
Again, nothing really amazing, not some wild crazy party. Just a few friends hanging out. We didn't even really do anything. No games, or anything like that. I kinda wish we had, but really I'm not going to complain. I really enjoyed just being able to relax. I've been so stressed recently about money, my job, what I want to do for my future, etc, that it was really nice to just chill and not do anything. I did drink quite a bit, and ate quite a bit, which although bad for me is prolly good, since tomorrow I began my self imposed improvement.
You see, I need to lose weight. I'm a bit of a fat ass. So, I'm going to start eating less, and making sure what I eat is a little more healthy. I'm also going to try and start exercising. It's going to be hard to find the time to do so, when I already feel like I don't have enough time to do the things I want to, but I really need to make the time. I need to take better care of myself. That also includes preventing myself from getting so stressed out.
I don't know why, but I let work, stupid little insecurities about myself, money problems, etc really stress me out, and it just builds up really badly and I just feel sick sometimes. Part of it is I'm still coming out of the holidays, plus I have all the extra work at work now that I'm running the other store.... But bleh.. I really need to figure some way to stop being so stressed out and maybe be a wee bit more self confident. I've been trying harder to be more confident, but it's hard sometimes... Especially when I cant' stop stressing...
Recently my biggest stress, other then money, has just been trying to figure out what the hell I want to do with my life. As I told my dad during my recent Holiday in Arizona, I have the who. (I want to spend the rest of my life with Stephen and I will eventually con him into marrying me) I have the where (I really like Seattle, and want to eventually get a house here, even if it will be awhile before we can afford one) now I just need to figure out the what. (I have a job, not a career, and I really need to find something that pays more the 32,000 a year if I want to get a house)
The problem is that "what" question is a bit trickier then the other two. I some how doubt I'm just going to accidentally stumble into a job that pays at least 42,000 a year by chance. Also, another big hurdle is that I don't really know what I want to do. Most good paying jobs are going to require a bit of schooling before I can jump in, and before I start school (Trade or college) I want to have a good idea of what I am going to school for. So really I'm just kind of at a loss. (Any suggestions would be wonderful)
So yeah. Tomorrow I begin the exercise and diet thing. Also need to really start searching hard for what the heck I want to do with my life. I'm 25, I should at least have some sort of career goal by now. *Sighs*
But yeah, I had a good day. So thank you to Stephen (My sexy, smart, wonderful, dp capable, charming, witty, country loving, sarcastic, sweet, funny boyfriend) to Whitney, and Cristi (Thank you guys for coming up to Seattle, and thank you guys for coming over and hanging out, also, thank you Whitney for the cd, I'm going to listen to it tomorrow while I run some errands. I'm sure it will be awesome.) Derek and Ashleigh (Thanks for all the awesome blu-rays, and thank you for coming. Hopefully you guys both know that I think you are awesome and that I would take a bullet for both of you... well at least for Ashleigh...Did I mention I am still kind of buzzed?) Finally Craig and Jason (Thank you guys for the alcohol, the shot glasses, and the lesson in floating, also thank you guys for coming over, it's always nice to hang out with you and I am really glad me and Stephen met you. You have been awesome new friends, and I hope to be friends with you guys for a long time...)
So yeah... That is it, also, it may be the alcohol, but I have a weird desire to post to sys. If I still feel this way tomorrow maybe I can get Stephen to take some pictures for me. Who knows, seeing those kinds of pics of me may be a good motivator in my weight loss goals. Lol.
Finally in closing Doctor 9 was the shit and I miss him, oh and a bit of priceless wisdom from the once great William Dafoe

Armored Octopus Army!

Yay Life!
Posted 16 years agoSo it's been quite awhile since I have updated. I've been pretty busy actually. Between working and hanging out with friends, and partying, etc, I've really not had a chance to just sit down and relax. So here is a general update on my life.
Life: I am really doing well. I really am glad we made the decision to move to Seattle. There is so much more art and culture here. There is tons of cool stuff to do. I do miss my family and a few of the friends I left behind. (Especially Whitney and Frank) But Derek and Ashleigh are here, plus we've made a couple of really cool new friends. Nightcat, Kovu, and Jordan specifically have all been really awesome, so I really want to thank them. (If you guys are reading this, you are all awesome!!!!) But yeah, we go out to parties, we see movies, (Not as many movies as we did in AZ because it was soooo much cheaper there) we hang out at gay bars. It's all a lot of fun. Also, me and Stephen are still doing really well. I'm a lot more comfortable with our relationship. We've been together for five years now (Jesus Christ that is a long time) and honestly I can't picture myself with anyone else. We are making plans for the future and it's really awesome to think about getting a house (It's still a year or two away), and I can't wait to go to Japan with him. So really life is good. The only aspect of my life I'm not content with is work. So yay I guess. Lol.
Work: Work sucks. Lol. I know everyone says that, but I really hate my DM and it's getting to the point where once the holidays are over I'm going to start seriously looking for a better job. It may be hard to find a 40 thousand a year job, but I know that if I really work at it I can. I have a decent resume and am actually really good at interviews for reasons even I don't understand. That said for now I am just going to grin and bear it and try to make it through the holiday chaos.
Drawing: I haven't had any free time really so I haven't drawn much. I did the one Pokemon drawing for Halloween, and the cute shower yiff pic for some new Seattle furry friends that came out decent, but really that is all I've done. I really want to find some more time to draw, and to actually try and draw some more varied stuff then I normally do. I have Wednesday off, and I'm going to try and take some time to draw a couple pics for myself if I can. So yay for that!

I'm Wasted!
Posted 16 years agoOkay I'm still way too drunk and it's hard to type right now, but I just got back from an awesome halloween party! Go Kovu, nightcat, furkitfoc, otterpop, and everyone else. It was really fun. I also got more wasted then I have in al ong long long time. I had 9 drinks, 6 jello shots, a shot of tequila, and 4 cherries. The cherries were soaked in eveclear and were seriously the most acholic things ever! So woot! I'm drunk by the way so yay for that! I am so stress free right now. Woot!
Trick R Treat!
Posted 16 years agoSo I just watched "Trick R Treat" and it was awesome! I bought it awhile ago without seeing it based on all the good reviews I'd read, and I am extremely glad I did. It's not scary at all, but now it's definitely one of my top 10 favorites horror films. I'm am going to bust it out every Halloween! The movie is based around various Halloween traditions, and is a cheesy tongue in cheek 80's style anthology horror film, but with high production values an awesome mascot, and to make it a little more fun, it is told in a none chronological way (Think Tales from the Crypt meets Friday the 13th meets Pulp Fiction) Anyways, I definitely recommend this for anyone trying to get into the Halloween Spirit. Follow this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jh0DwJZjz8 for a decent trailer of the film.
Hello Seattle!!!
Posted 16 years agoWell, it's official, I managed to leave the hellish climate I called home. Me and Stephen moved from the shitty climate and hellish conditions of Arizona, to the friendly, laid back, wet, rainy, cloudy, city of Seattle. It's a nice change. I've always wanted to live here, and I'm excited I finally made it. Now we just need to save up and get a house.
Oh and to any furs in the greater Seattle area, hello, if you ever want to hang out, just let me know. Me and my Stephen are pretty relaxed easy going guys. *Smiles* And since we're new to the area, we are definitely seeking new friends.
Well, once I get settled, there are a couple old drawings I want to scan and color, plus I have a couple drawing ideas I want to do. Oh and I have more porn coming. Yay for everyone. Lol

A whole lot of Misc...
Posted 17 years agoFirst off, I've been seeing all the summer movies. So far Iron Man is my favorite. followed by Kung Fu Panda. (I'm going to see Happening tonight and Incredible Hulk tomorrow.) The movie I'm most excited about though is Dark Knight. It just looks so perfect and awesome to me. I really hope it's even half as good as it looks. (Oh and for any furry who hasn't seen Kung Fu Panda you should see it. It's an awesome but ridiculous bad kung fu movie with sexy furs.)
Next up, I haven't been drawing much even though I really want to. the biggest reason is work. I work a lot. 44-50 hours a week, and even on my days off I get like 4 or 5 calls from work. (Being a manager blows) So that kills a lot of my free time. In addition to work, I just played through Metal Gear Solid 4 (Which is by far a perfect 10 game one that everyone should play. It really raises the bar for the video game genre as far as storytelling, and it will not be beaten for a very very long time) have been seeing a lot of movies, and have been trying to spend as much time with my boyfriend as I can before he moves...
And speaking of boyfriends, I've been dealing with a couple of weird stress situations. You see, me and my boyfriend Furkitfox have an open relationship. It isn't really something I wanted, but I agreed to it in order to date him. We've been living together for almost 3 years now, and have been dating most of that time (With two break ups during that time) During that time I've come to decide that I love him, and I really want to spend the rest of my life with him. He's everything I was looking for in a partner.
The thing is though that he's moving soon. (Prolly in August) It really sucks, and it will be the first time we've had to be apart during our relationship. (I'm needy and a long distance relationship will be hard) We are staying together which I'm thankful for, and we'll only be apart for around a year, but it has me nervous. You see, he has taken advantage of the open relationship a couple of times, and slept with a few people other then me. (Mostly some furry friends of ours) He hasn't done it that often though because he has me so he doesn't need to. The few times he has done stuff it's bothered me a little, but I've done my best to be okay with it, and honestly it hasn't bugged me that much.
The problem is that I'm afraid that once he moves he's going to find people to sleep with on a regular basis and he may wind up falling for one of them and leaving me. *Sighs* At the same time I don't want to make a big deal or try and push the issue too much, because I know he isn't going to cave.
I also feel like he'll still be having a lot of sex but I'll be alone and won't have anyone to cuddle/spend time with me. I don't know why, but I think it might make me more comfortable if I were sleeping with someone else when he starts doing it. I just really don't know anyone I could do stuff like that with. Really, there are only 3 or 4 people I'd consider doing stuff with and one is leaving AZ very soon, the other ones have boyfriends (And all but one are in the city he's moving to, not where I'm at) and I don't want to really try anything, because although me and Stephen have an open relationship, most people don't....
So I'm stuck freaking out about this, and don't really know what to do... I know it's kind of a stupid issue, and honestly Stephen knows I'd like to go to a fully closed relationship, he just doesn't seem ready for that. It does look like when we get a house in Seattle, he would be willing to consider closing the relationship and being committed to me. I just hope we make it through this next year. It's going to be weird and sucky. Plus, I'm going to miss him a lot....

Stolen Sex Meme If We Did It?
Posted 17 years agoHeya all, I've been working quite a bit recently. Around 45 hours a week. That coupled with my other hobbies and spending time with my sexy boyfriend, has left me little drawing time. I do have a couple of pictures I'm working on that I will post when I'm finished. (Who knows when that will be) Anyways, Just because I haven't posted anything in a long while. Here a random stolen sex meme.
If We Had Sex?
1. Who would be in control?
2. Would you pull my hair?
3. Would you whisper in my ear?
4. Would you talk dirty to me?
5. Would you kiss me with a little tongue or a lot of tongue?
6. Would you say my name?
7. Would you go down on me?
8. Would you let me give you a hickie?
9. How many rounds would we go?
10. What would you wanna do afterwards?
11. Would you take off all your clothes then take mine off slowly?
12. Would you lick and bite me all over?
13. Would you like to play or get straight to the point?
14. Would you want me to take my time?
15. How freaky are you, 1 - 10?
16. Would you want fast or slow?
17. Where would you wanna "do it"?
18. Would you be loud or quiet?
19. Would you want me to be loud or quiet?
20. Would you mind if i liked you?
21. Do you like me?
22. Would you call me the next day?
23. Would you scratch me?
24. Would you let me scratch you?
25. Would you have to be drunk?
26. Would you date me?
27. Would you do it today?
28. Would you do it tomorrow?
29. Do you think that we would go any further then just sex?
30. Are you going to re-post these so I can answer them for you?
31. Would you make love to me or fuck me?

Golden Compass
Posted 18 years agoOkay, so I went to see Golden Compass last night, and I was really really really disappointed. So far almost every fur that has seen it has liked it, but I'm really not sure how. The acting (with a few exceptions) was terrible, the cgi actually looked really really bad, and they completely mangled a really good book by dumbing down the story and changing half the main events. Not to mention the fact they completely left out the ending which is the most important part of the book. *Sighs* I was actually upset by the end of the movie by how much stuff they had changed. I then thought that maybe my friends who hadn't read the book and saw the movie with me might enjoy it, but they all hated it as well, and pretty much everything they hated about it were the same problems I had with the movie. Honestly, the only scene in the movie worth watching is the polar bear fight.
*Sighs* I really hope this movie fails, because I do not want to see the other two books mangled as well. Anyways, save your money and go see either the Mist or Enchanted. The Mist had a crappy ending, but was good up until that point, and Enchanted was just a really cute fun film, that was somehow more intelligent then the Golden Compass adaptation. *Sighs* The only good thing that came out of seeing the movie was getting to watch the new Speed Racer movie. And wow... That looks like quite possibly the most ridiculous movie of all time. I almost feel guilty that I want to see it.

Single wolf seeks...
Posted 18 years agoAllright, I'm single, and it sucks. I've had no luck on dating sites, and I doubt anyone actually living in AZ will see it, but it's a personal add of sorts. If you're a gay or bi single furry in Arizona, feel free to ask me out.
Hey everyone, my name is Jarrad (Jay) Ryan Cravens. I'm a 22 year old, gay, fun loving, adventurous, furry artist currently living in Flagstaff, Arizona. I love movies (Horror, sci fi, action, drama and comedy), music (Everything from Country, and Classic Rock to modern alternative, punk and emo). I'm the type of person who loves culture, and could spend hours at an art museum, but at the same time, also loves to go partying. I have a fairly large IQ, but I never act like it. In fact, I'm more of an idiot savant. I tend to be a hopeless romantic, and I love the simple act of cuddling with people. My three biggest faults are that I'm stubborn as heck, I usually am too trusting of people, and unless something really excites me, I tend to be lazy.
I'll warn you now, I'm sorta a geek and a bit of an oddball. As I hinted at above, I have really varied interests, and love everything from comic books to anime, to art and history, to current movies and music. I'm always open to new things and will try anything at least once. *Smiles* Speaking of, I have few goals in life, (Like having sex in the woods during a rainstorm) but the biggest is too someday be a comic book artist. Something I've wanted to do since I was like 5.
Anyways, right now I'm hoping to find someone I like and find interesting who would be interested in going out on a date or two. Ultimately I'm looking for someone I can spend the rest of my life with. Someone not the same as me, but who compliments me, and that I could share a future with. (Pretty Cheesy I know, but it's seriously what I'm looking for!)
Anyways, a little more about me (For those of you who are still interested) I like drawing (check out my FA page at http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ookaminobaka/ ) I like reading (Comic books, Manga, and horror novels) I like movies (Pretty much all movies), Music (Pretty much all music) hiking, walking, climbing, camping, just hanging out with friends, cuddling, cooking (I'm not the best at it but I enjoy doing it) and a lot of other stuff.
Anyways, if you're interested in meeting up with me some time, for a date or just some boredom filling fun then e-mail me and I'll get back to you. =^_^= or better yet IM me if you see me online.
Sincerely,
Jarrad (Jay) Ryan (Wolfspirit) Cravens (The One and Only)
P.S. I know I kinda repeated myself on some things, but honestly I never know what information to include or how to write personal adds.
