Sorry about that everyone!
Posted 6 months agoHello!
I wish I did not have to make this journal, but I also really need to.
I have loved sharing my art here... and before you worry; I will keep doing so!
This journey has been about exploring ideas and progressing as an artist. Lots of learning was involved, which I am grateful for.
While I love sharing my sketches, I have shared everything here. Every finished piece, every sketch... in short, everything. I think it's fun and possibly insightful to see all the art from an artist, including WIPs and the less impactful pieces.
However, as I am growing as an artist, I am starting to understand the need to keep some practice private. This is especially true as some practicing tools have no place in a public gallery.
So, with this journal, I want to apologize for using tracing over photographic reference for a few pieces I uploaded here. They are a minority of my illustration, often traced partially... but I don't want to pretend it was not what it was.
To be clear, I have never traced (nor will I ever) over another artist's illustration. However, as someone who enjoys photography myself, I don't think photographs are any more okay to trace over.
I want to reiterate that this process taught me a lot, and I think it's a useful practice tool. But I also think those pieces should have never left my iPad.
This is why I have decided to remove those pieces from my FurAffinity gallery. I don't want them to generate any more undue traffic on my page than they have.
However, I did not want to erase images from the internet without giving people a chance to save them somewhere. I also think hiding my mistake would not be very honest. For this reason, I have collected these images and uploaded them to this Google Drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/fold.....OM?usp=sharing
You will notice each subfolder contains the image I removed here, as well as the original photograph, along with credits for the model and photographer. I could not find all the information about these images. Should you stumble upon missing details about an image, please reach out to me so I can credit models and photographers properly!
At any rate, I hope this is not too disappointing to any of you. I wish I could unmake my mistake, but I'm afraid the best I can offer is to not make it again.
I hope this journal can help other artists do the right thing when they realize they messed up. But I hope most artists are not as oblivious as I am and don't do what I did to begin with D:
Anyway, thanks for reading through this journal, and sorry again for any negative emotion caused by this news. I will do my best so the next lessons I learn as an artist don't come at the cost of anyone's best interests.
Have a nice day!

Get hyped
Posted 4 years agoLook, I don’t want to spoil the surprise or create wrong expectations but my next drawing has some GOOD bits in it. I’m really happy about it. I hope the whole thing turns out well but BOY does it rock so far*.
*: I really am not one to put my work under a spotlight most of the time, so you can tell I really like it haha.
See you soon (not so soon most likely) with it done!
Spoilers: oh no, it has the kobolds again.
Oh and as always, I hope you have a wonderful day :)
